First switch on
Once the power supply has been connected, check that the green led on the connector side of
the control unit remains lit for more than 5 seconds.
If it remains lit: correct installation.
If it does not light up: no mains power supply and the batteries are at or missing, check power
supply unit and battery connections.
If it ashes with a short ash and a long pause: battery operated, check power supply unit
connection.
If it ashes with a long ash and a short pause: batteries are being recharged, wait for 36
hours and replace batteries if ashing continues.
Note: The batteries (5) are only to be used in the event of a power failure; always use
rechargeable AA NIMH 2000mAh minimum batteries.

Disposal
Dispose of any batteries, disused accessories and packaging in order that they can be
recycled in an environmentally-friendly way.
Only for EC countries: Do not dispose of any used batteries with household waste!
In accordance with the provisions of Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE) and its transposition into national law, spent batteries should be collected
separately and reused ecologically.
Limitations of use
The appliance is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or by anyone with a lack of experience or knowledge, unless the
same are supervised and instructed when using the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Replacing the Batteries
- The batteries should only be replaced with new batteries of the same type as those listed in this
manual.
- Before replacing the batteries, turn off the control unit by disconnecting the power supply.
- Make sure that the polarity of the batteries and connectors match.
- Dispose of any replaced batteries according to current regulations.
