• Donotusethemicrowaveovenifthepowercordorpowerplug

isdamaged,ifitisnotworkingcorrectly,ifitisdamagedorif

ithasbeendroppedontheoor.Anyrepairofthemicrowave

ovenorreplacementofadamagedpowercordmayonlybe

carriedoutbyanauthorisedservicecentre,asthiswillpreventa

EARTHING INSTRUCTIONS

Thisappliancemustbeearthed.Intheeventofanelectricalshortcircuit,earthingreducestheriskofelectric

shockbyprovidinganescapewirefortheelectriccurrent.Thisapplianceisequippedwithacordhavinga

earthingwirewithanearthingplug.Theplugmustbepluggedintoanoutletthatisproperlyinstalledand

earthed.

WARNING: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.

NOTICE:

IMPORTANT

The wires in this mains lead tted to this appliance are coloured in accordance with the following code.

Green-and-yellow : Earth

Blue : Neutral

Brown : Live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured

markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: the wire which is coloured green-

and-yellow must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter ‘E’, the earth

symbol or coloured green-and-yellow. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the

terminal which is marked with the letter ‘N’ or coloured black.

The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter ‘L’

or coloured red.

INSTALLATION

1. Ventilation

 Donotblockairvents.Iftheyareblockedduringoperation,theovenmayoverheatandeventuallycause

afailure.Forproperventilation,allowabove100mmofspacebetweenovensides,rearandtheminimum

heightoffreespacenecessaryabovethetopsurfaceoftheovenis200mm.

2. Steady, at location

 Thisovenshouldbesetonasteady,atsurface.Thisovenisdesignedforcountertopuseonly.

 Themicrowaveovenshallnotbeplacedinacabinetunlessithasbeentestedinacabinet.

3. Leave space behind and side

 Allairventsshouldbekeptaclearance.Ifallventsarecoveredduringoperation,theovenmayoverheat

and,eventually,ovenfailure.

4. Away from radio and TV sets

 Poor television reception and radio interference may result if the oven is located close to aTV, Radio

antenna,feederandsoon.Positiontheovenasfarfromthemaspossible.

5. Away from heating appliance and water taps

 Keeptheovenawayfromhotair,steamorSplashwhenchoosingaplacetopositionit,ortheinsulation

mightbeadverselyaectedandbreakdownsoccur.

6. Power supply

• Checkyourlocalpowersource.Thisovenrequiresacurrentofapproximately6amperes,230V50Hz.

• Powersupplycordisabout0.8meterslong.

• Thevoltageusedmustbethesameasspeciedonthisoven.Usingahighervoltagemayresultina

reorotheraccidentcausing ovendamage.Usinglow voltagewillcause slowcooking.Wearenot

responsiblefordamageresultingfromuseofthisovenwithavoltageofamperefuseotherthanthose

specied.

• Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythemanufacturer,itsserviceagentorasimilarly

qualiedpersonsinordertoavoidahazard.

7. Examine the oven after unpacking for any damage such as:

 Amisaligneddoor,Brokendoor,Adentincavity.Ifanyoftheaboveisvisible,DONOTINSTALL,andnotify

dealerimmediately.

8. Do not operate the oven if it is colder than room temperature.

 (Thismayoccur during deliveryincoldweather.) Allow the oventobecome roomtemperaturebefore

Makesuretheovenisproperlyinstalledandpluggedintotheelectricaloutlet.

• Whentheovenisrstpluggedin,thedisplaywillbrieyshow“ ”,”1:00”.

• Duringcooksettingmode,the system will return towaitingmodeifthereisnotanyoperation within

20seconds.

• Duringcookingprogram,pressSTOP/CANCELtopausetheprogram,andthenpressWEIGHT/TIMEdialto

resume.PressSTOP/CANCELtwicetocanceltheprogram.

• Aftercooking,beepssoundandEndappearsindisplay.TouchanypadoropenovendoortoclearEnd

The oven should be cleaned regularly and any food deposits removed.

Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration of the surface that could

adversely aect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

1 Turntheovenobeforecleaning.

2 Keeptheinsideoftheovenclean.Whenfoodspattersorspilledliquidsadheretoovenwalls,wipewith

adampcloth.Milddetergentmaybeusediftheovengetsverydirty.

 Theuseofharshdetergentorabrasivesisnotrecommended.

3 Theoutsideovensurfaceshouldbecleanedwithsoapandwater,rinsedanddriedwithasoftcloth.To

preventdamagetotheoperatingpartsinsidetheoven,watershouldnotbeallowedtoseepintothe

ventilationopenings.

4 IftheControlPanelbecomeswet,cleanwithasoft,drycloth.Donotuseharshdetergentsorabrasives

onControlPanel.

5 Ifsteamaccumulatesinsideoraroundtheoutsideoftheovendoor,wipewithasoftcloth.Thismay

occurwhenthemicrowaveovenisoperatedunderhighhumidityconditionsandinnowayindicates

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Can the oven be used with the glass tray or roller guide removed?

No.Boththeglasstrayandrollerguidemustalwaysbeusedintheovenbeforecooking.

Can I open the door when the oven is operating?

Thedoorcanbeopenedanytimeduringthecookingoperation.Thenmicrowaveenergywillbeinstantly

switchedoandthetimesettingwillmaintainuntilthedoorisclosedandSTARTispressed.

Why do I have moisture in my microwave oven after cooking?

Themoistureonthesideofyourmicrowaveovenisnormal.Itiscausedbysteamfromcookingfoodhitting

thecoolovensurface.

Does microwave energy pass through the viewing screen in the door?

No.Themetalscreenbouncesbacktheenergytotheovencavity.Theholesaremadetoallowlighttopass

through.Theydonotletmicrowaveenergypassthrough.

Why do eggs sometimes pop?

Whenbakingorpoachingeggs,theyolkmaypopduetosteambuild-upinsidetheyolkmembrane.To

preventthis,simplypiercetheyolkwithatoothpickbeforecooking.Nevercookeggswithoutpiercingtheir

shells.

Why this standing time recommended after the cooking operation has been completed?

Standingtimeisveryimportant.

Withmicrowavecooking,theheatisinthefood,notintheoven.Manyfoodsbuildupenoughinternalheat

toallowthecookingprocesstocontinue,evenafterthefoodisremovedfromtheoven.Standingtimefor

jointsofmeat,largevegetablesandcakesistoallowtheinsidetocookcompletely,withoutovercookingthe

outside.

What does “standing time” mean?

Standingtime”meansthatfoodshouldberemovedfromtheovenandcoveredforadditionaltimetoallowit

tonishcooking.Thisfreestheovenforothercooking.
