Important Warnings

Before using your appliance read this instrucons manual carefully and keep it in a

safe place as you may need to consult it in the future.

Before turning on your appliance, and to ensure a safe and correct operaon, do not

use if:

• It has fallen to the ground;

• You noce any evidence of damage;

• Any anomaly occurs during its operaon.

To avoid hazards or deterioraon of your appliance through incorrect use it is advisable

to read these instrucons thoroughly.

Your appliance may not be used for other purposes than the ones intended and solely

for household use. Any damage resulng from using the appliance outside this scope,

any incorrect use, as well as any manual modicaons to the product will not be

covered and automacally voids the warranty.

Assistance

In case of malfuncon, take your appliance to a qualied technician for assistance.

This appliance can be used by children from the age

of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensorial

or mental capabilies and/or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given instrucons on

using the appliance safely and if they understand

the hazards involved. Children may not play with the

appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be

carried out by children without supervision.

1.1. Power Supply

Make sure the main voltage is compable with the appliance’s. If this is not the case

please consult the Customer Support Service.

1.2. Power Cord and Other Cables

Do not tangle the cord or pull it to disconnect the appliance. Also, keep the cord away

from warm surfaces.

Never use the appliance if it has a damaged cable or socket.

Take it to the Technical Support Service for replacement.

1.3. Humidity and Water

Do not use your appliance in humid places. Do not allow the appliance to become wet

under any circumstances as this may be dangerous. To avoid re hazard or electric

shock do not expose your appliance to humidity or water. Furthermore, do not place

your appliance under water (e.g. for cleaning).

1.4. Cleaning

Before cleaning, be sure to switch o the appliance and remove the plug from the

main power supply.

Always allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.

Any deposits, starch residue or stains le on the plate can be removed using a damp

cloth or a non-abrasive liquid detergent.

Avoid scratching the plate with steel wool or metal objects.

The plasc parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth then wiped over with a dry cloth.

Self-Cleaning

The self-cleaning feature cleans inside the plate, removing impuries. We recommend

using it every 10-15 days.

• Direcons:

> Fill the reservoir up to the maximum level indicated and set the steam

regulator (3) to “0”.

> Set the temperature dial (8) to the maximum temperature and wait for the

light (9) to turn o.

> Pull the plug out of the socket and hold the iron horizontally over the sink.

> Hold the cleanout buon (7) unl all the boiling water, steam and impuries

come out [Fig. 7].

> When the soleplate has cooled down, you can clean it with a damp cloth.

1.5. General Precautions

• Please follow the instrucons in the user manual which help to properly install

and operate this product and enjoy its advanced features. Please keep the

instrucons for future reference.

• Read all instrucons before using the product.

• Maintenance and service operaons are only to be carried out by authorized

professionals.

• Any damage caused by manual modicaons to the product is not covered by the

warranty.

• If this product is used for other purposes than the ones originally intended, or if it

is not correctly connected, the product may become damaged and the warranty

will be voided.

• Use the iron only for its intended use.

• To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or

other liquids.

• The iron should always be turned to O before plugging or unplugging from the

outlet.

• Let the iron cool completely before storing. Loop the cord loosely around the iron

when storing.

• Always disconnect the iron from the power outlet when lling with water or

emptying and when not in use.

• Do not use the iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or

damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron; take it

to the Costumer Support Service for examinaon and repair. Incorrect reassembly

can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.

• Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children.

Do not leave the iron unaended while connected or on an ironing board.

• Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Be careful

when you turn a steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the tank.

• If the malfuncon indicator lights, the iron is not operang normally. Disconnect

from the power supply and have the iron serviced by the Costumer Support

Service.

• The iron must not be le unaended while it is connected to the power supply.

• The plug must be removed from the power outlet before the water tank is lled

with water (for steam irons and irons with water spraying devices).

• The ller cap must not be opened during use. Instrucons for the safe relling of

the water tank are given (for pressurized steam irons).

• The iron must only be used with the stand provided (for cordless irons).

• The iron is not intended for regular use (for travelling irons).

• The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.

• When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is

placed is stable.

• The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of

damage or if it is leaking.

• Keep the iron and its cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old when

it is powered on or cooling down.

• To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high waage appliance on the

same circuit.

• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be used.

Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the

cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.

• Do not let children or untrained persons use the appliance without supervision.

• Never immerse the iron, cable or plug in any liquid.

• Do not leave the hot iron on fabrics or highly inammable surfaces.

• Do not leave the appliance unnecessarily plugged in. Disconnect the plug from

the mains when the appliance is not being used.

• Never touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.

• Do not leave the appliance exposed to the weather (rain, sun, etc.).

• Do not use chemical addives, scented substances or scale removers.

• Failure to comply with the above-menoned instrucons will void the guarantee.

• When using the iron for the rst me, you may noce a slight emission of smoke

and hear some sounds made by the expanding plascs. This is quite normal and

it stops aer a short me. We also recommend passing the iron over an ordinary

cloth before using it for the rst me.

Anti-Drip System

With the an-drip system, you can perfectly iron even the most delicate fabrics.

Always iron these fabrics at low temperatures. The plate may cool down to the point

where no more steam comes out, but instead drops of boiling water that can leave

marks or stains. In these cases, the an-drip system automacally acvates to prevent

vaporizaon, so that you can iron the most delicate fabrics without risk of spoiling or

staining them.

Anti-Scale System

A special resin lter inside the water tank soens the water and prevents scale build-

up in the plate. The resin lter is permanent and does not need replacing.

Note:

Use tap water only. Dislled and/demineralized water makes the an-scale system

ineecve by altering its physical-chemical characteriscs. Do not use chemical

addives, scented substances or scale removers. Failure to comply with the above-

menoned instrucons will void the guarantee.

2.2. Using the Product

Preparation

Sort the laundry to be ironed according to the internaonal symbols on the garment

label, or if this is missing, according to the type of fabric.

Start ironing the garments requiring a low temperature.

This reduces the waing me (the iron takes less me to heat up than to cool down)

and eliminates the risk of scorching the fabric.

Steam Ironing

Filling the Tank

• Check that the plug is disconnected from the socket.

• Move the steam regulator (3) to “0” [Fig. 1].

• Open the cap (2).

• Raise the p of the iron to help the water enter the opening without overowing.

• Slowly pour the water into the tank using the water measure (12) and taking care

not to go over the maximum level (about 300 ml) indicated by “MAX” on the tank

[Fig. 2].

• Close the cap (2).

Selecting the Temperature

• Place the iron in a vercal posion.

• Plug it into the socket.

• Adjust the temperature dial (8) according to the internaonal symbol on the

garment label [Fig. 3]. The temperature indicator light (9) indicates that the iron

is heang. Wait unl the temperature indicator light turns o before ironing.

Warning:

when ironing, the temperature indicator light (9) comes on at intervals, indicang that

the selected temperature is maintained. If you lower the temperature aer ironing at

a high temperature, do not start ironing unl the temperature indicator light comes

on again.

Regulating the Steam

The quanty of steam is regulated by the steam regulator (3).

Move the steam regulator to a posion between minimum and maximum depending

on the quanty of steam required and the temperature selected [Fig. 1].

Warning:

the iron only gives o steam connuously if you hold the iron horizontally. You can

stop the connuous steam by placing the iron in a vercal posion or by moving the

steam regulator to “0”. As indicated on the temperature dial (8), you can only use

steam at the highest temperatures. If the selected temperature is too low, water may

drip onto the plate.

Selecting a Shot of Steam When Ironing Vertically

Press the steam buon (5) to generate a powerful shot of steam that can penetrate

the fabrics and smooth the most dicult and tough creases. Wait for a few seconds

before pressing again [Fig. 4].

By pressing the steam buon at intervals you can also iron vercally (curtains, hung

garments, etc.) [Fig. 5].

Warning:

the steam shot funcon can only be used at high temperatures. Stop using it when

the temperature indicator light (9) comes on; then start ironing again only aer the

light has turned o.

Dry Ironing

To iron without steam, follow the instrucons in the “Steam Ironing” secon, leaving

the steam regulator (3) on posion “0”.

Spray Function

Make sure that there is water in the tank. Press the spray buon (4) slowly (for a

dense spray) or quickly (for a vaporized spray) [Fig. 6].

Warning:

for delicate fabrics, we recommend moistening the fabric beforehand using the spray

buon (4), or pung a damp cloth between the iron and the fabric. To avoid staining,

do not use the spray on silk or synthec fabrics.

Storage

• Disconnect the plug from the power outlet.

• Empty the tank by turning the iron upside down and gently shaking it.

• Leave the iron to cool down completely.

• Roll up the power cord with the rewinder [Fig. 8].

• Always store the iron in a vercal posion.

Advice for Good Ironing

• We recommend using the lowest temperatures with fabrics that have unusual

nishes (sequins, embroidery, ush, etc.).

• If the fabric is mixed (e.g. 40% coon, 60% synthecs), set the thermostat to the

temperature of the ber requiring the lower temperature.

• If you don’t know the composion of the fabric, determine the suitable

temperature by tesng on a hidden corner of the garment. Start with a low

temperature and increase it gradually unl it reaches the ideal temperature.

• Never iron areas with traces of perspiraon or other marks: the heat of the plate

xes the stains on the fabric, making them permanent.

• The size is more eecve if you use a dry iron at a moderate temperature: excess

heat scorches it with the risk of forming a yellow mark.

• To avoid marking silk, woolen or shiny synthec garments, iron them inside out.

• To avoid marking shiny velvet garments, iron in one direcon (following the ber)

and do not press down on the iron.

• The more the washing machine is loaded, the more garments come out creased.

This also happens when the spin drying speed is very high.

• Many fabrics are easier to iron if they are not completely dry.

• For example, silk should always be ironed damp.

recomienda que lea atentamente las instrucciones.

1.1. Alimentación

Compruebe que la tensión de la red eléctrica es compable con la indicada en el

aparato. En caso de que no sea compable, consulte al Servicio de Atención al Cliente.

1.2. Cable de alimentación y otros cables

No enrolle el cable de alimentación ni re de él para desenchufar el aparato. Asimismo,

manténgalo alejado de supercies calientes.

Nunca ulice este aparato si el cable o el enchufe están dañados.

En su lugar, llévelo a un servicio técnico autorizado para que proceda a su sustución.

1.3. Humedad y agua

No ulice el aparato en lugares húmedos. No deje que el aparato se moje en ninguna

circunstancia, pues puede ser peligroso. Para evitar el peligro de incendio o descarga

eléctrica, no exponga el aparato al agua o la humedad. Asimismo, no sumerja el

aparato (por ejemplo, para limpiarlo).

1.4. Limpieza

Antes de proceder a la limpieza del aparato, apáguelo y desconecte el cable de la

corriente.

Deje siempre que el aparato se enfríe antes de efectuar cualquier operación de

limpieza.

Los depósitos, residuos de almidón o manchas presentes en la base pueden eliminarse

ulizando un paño húmedo o un detergente líquido no abrasivo.

Evite rayar la base con objetos metálicos o con un estropajo de acero.

Las piezas pláscas pueden limpiarse con un paño húmedo y luego secarse con un

paño seco.

Autolimpieza

La función de autolimpieza limpia el interior de la base, eliminando las impurezas.

Recomendamos ulizar esta función cada diez o quince días.

• Instrucciones:

> Llene el depósito hasta el nivel máximo indicado y ajuste el regulador de vapor

(3) a «0».

> Coloque el control de temperatura (8) en la temperatura máxima y espere a

que la luz (9) se apague.

> Desenchufe el aparato de la corriente y mantenga la plancha en sendo

horizontal sobre el fregadero.

> Mantenga pulsado el botón de limpieza (7) hasta que salga toda el agua

hirviendo, el vapor y las impurezas [Fig. 7].

> Una vez que la base se haya enfriado, podrá limpiarla con un paño húmedo.

1.5. Precauciones generales

• Siga las instrucciones de este manual, que le ayudarán a instalar y poner en

funcionamiento correctamente este producto y disfrutar de sus caracteríscas

avanzadas. Guarde las instrucciones para referencia futura.

• Lea todas las instrucciones antes de usar el aparato.

• Las operaciones de reparación o mantenimiento deben ser realizadas únicamente

por profesionales autorizados.

• Cualquier daño provocado por modicaciones manuales al producto no estará

cubierto por la garana.

• Si usa el producto para otros nes que no sean para los que ha sido originalmente

diseñado, o si no está correctamente conectado, el producto podrá sufrir daños

y la garana quedará anulada.

• Ulice la plancha únicamente para su uso previsto.

• Para evitar descargas eléctricas, no sumerja la plancha en agua o cualquier otro

líquido.

• La plancha siempre debe estar apagada cuando conecte o desconecte el cable

de la toma.

• Deje que la plancha se enfríe completamente antes de guardarla. Envuelva el

cable de forma holgada alrededor de la plancha cuando vaya a guardarla.

• Siempre desenchufe la plancha de la corriente cuando la vaya a llenar de agua o

vaciar y cuando no la esté ulizando.

• No ulice la plancha si el cable está dañado o si se ha caído o presenta daños.

Para evitar el riesgo de electrocución, no desmonte la plancha. Acuda al Servicio

de Atención al Cliente para su revisión y reparación. Un montaje incorrecto puede

ocasionar un riesgo de descarga eléctrica al ulizar la plancha.

• Es necesario supervisar atentamente cualquier aparato en uso cerca de los niños.

No deje desatendida la plancha mientras está enchufada o en la tabla de planchar.

• Pueden producirse quemaduras al entrar en contacto con las partes calientes de

metal, el agua caliente o el vapor. Tenga cuidado al girar la plancha del revés, ya

que podría haber agua caliente en el depósito.

• El indicador de funcionamiento incorrecto iluminado indica que la plancha no

está funcionando normalmente. Desenchúfela de la corriente y llévela al Servicio

de Atención al Cliente.

• La plancha no debe dejarse desatendida mientras está conectada a la corriente.

• Desconecte el enchufe de la corriente antes de proceder a llenar el depósito de

agua (para las planchas de vapor y las planchas con disposivos de pulverización

de agua).

• El tapón de llenado no debe abrirse durante su uso. Se suministran instrucciones

para llenar de forma segura el depósito de agua (para las planchas de vapor

presurizadas).

• La plancha solamente debe ulizarse con el soporte suministrado (para planchas

sin cable).

• La plancha no está diseñada para un uso regular (para planchas de viaje).

• Es necesario ulizar y colocar la plancha sobre una supercie estable.

• Cuando coloque la plancha en posición vercal, asegúrese de que la supercie

sobre la que la coloca es estable.

• No debe ulizar la plancha si ha caído, si existen señales visibles de daño o si gotea.

• Mantenga la plancha y el cable fuera del alcance de los niños menores de ocho

años cuando esté encendida o enfriándose.

• Para evitar una sobrecarga del circuito, no ponga en funcionamiento otro aparato

de alta potencia en el mismo circuito eléctrico.

• Si es absolutamente necesario alargar el cable, deberá ulizarse un cable de 10

amperios. Los cables diseñados para un amperaje inferior pueden sobrecalentarse.

Tenga cuidado al colocar el cable de forma que no pueda rar de él ni tropezarse

con el mismo.

• No deje que los niños o las personas no preparadas ulicen el aparato sin

supervisión.

• Nunca sumerja la plancha, el cable o el enchufe en un líquido.

• No deje la plancha caliente sobre telas o supercies altamente inamables.

• No deje el aparato enchufado si no es necesario. Si no lo va a ulizar, desconecte

el enchufe de la corriente.

• Nunca toque el aparato con las manos mojadas o húmedas.

• No deje el aparato expuesto a la intemperie (lluvia, sol, etc.).

• No ulice adivos químicos, sustancias perfumadas o descalcicadores.

• La falta de observación de estas recomendaciones anulará la garana.

• Al ulizar la plancha por primera vez comprobará que emite algo de humo y

escuchará sonidos producidos por la dilatación de los pláscos, pero es algo

totalmente normal y desaparecerá al poco empo. Asimismo, recomendamos

pasar la plancha por un paño corriente antes de ulizarla por primera vez.

Sistema antigoteo

El sistema angoteo le permite planchar incluso los tejidos más delicados. Planche

siempre estos tejidos a bajas temperaturas. La base puede enfriarse hasta el punto

de que no salga más vapor, pero en su lugar las gotas de agua hirviendo pueden dejar

marcas o manchas. En estos casos se acva automácamente el sistema angoteo

para evitar la vaporización, lo que permite planchar los tejidos más delicados sin

riesgo de estropearlos o mancharlos.

Sistema ancal

Un ltro de resina especial en el interior del depósito de agua suaviza el agua y

previene la aparición de cal en la base. El ltro de resina es permanente y no necesita

ser sustuido.

Nota:

ulice únicamente agua del grifo. El agua deslada o desmineralizada hace que el

sistema ancal resulte inefecvo al alterar sus caracteríscas sicoquímicas. No ulice

adivos químicos, sustancias perfumadas o descalcicadores. La falta de observación

de estas recomendaciones anulará la garana.

2.2. Utilización del producto

Preparación

Clasique la ropa que va a planchar conforme a los símbolos internacionales de las

equetas o, en su ausencia, conforme al po de tejido.

Empiece planchando la ropa que requiere una temperatura baja.

De esta forma, reducirá el empo de espera (la plancha necesita menos empo para

calentarse que para enfriarse) y evitará el riesgo de quemar el tejido.

• Compruebe que el enchufe está desconectado de la toma de corriente.

• Mueva el regulador de vapor (3) a «0» [Fig. 1].

• Abra el tapón (2).

• Levante la punta de la plancha para ayudar a que el agua entre en la abertura sin

derramarse.

• Vierta lentamente el agua en el depósito ulizando la medida de agua (12) y

tenga cuidado de no superar el nivel máximo (unos 300 ml) indicado por «MAX»

en el depósito [Fig. 2].

• Cierre el tapón (2).

Selección de la temperatura

• Coloque la plancha en posición vercal.

• Enchúfela a la corriente.

• Ajuste el control de temperatura (8) conforme al símbolo internacional indicado

en la equeta [Fig. 3]. La luz indicadora de temperatura (9) indica que la plancha

se está calentando. Espere hasta que esta luz se apague antes de empezar a

planchar.

Atención:

al planchar, la luz indicadora de temperatura (9) se encenderá por intervalos,

indicando que se manene la temperatura seleccionada. Si reduce la temperatura tras

planchar a una temperatura alta, no empiece a planchar hasta que la luz indicadora de

temperatura vuelva a encenderse.

Regulación del vapor

La candad de vapor se regula a través del regulador de vapor (3).

Mueva el regulador de vapor a una posición entre el mínimo y el máximo en función

de la candad de vapor requerida y la temperatura seleccionada [Fig. 1].

Atención:

la plancha solamente expulsa vapor de forma connua si se manene en posición

horizontal. Puede detener el vapor connuo colocando la plancha en posición vercal

o moviendo el regulador de vapor a «0». Como se indica en el control de temperatura

(8), solamente puede ulizar el vapor a las temperaturas más altas. Si la temperatura

seleccionada es demasiado baja, es posible que gotee agua en la base.

Selección de un golpe de vapor al planchar en sentido vertical

Pulse el botón de vapor (5) para generar un potente golpe de vapor que penetre en

el tejido y suavizar las arrugas más diciles y resistentes. Espere unos segundos antes

de volver a pulsarlo [Fig. 4].

Al pulsar el botón de vapor a intervalos, también puede planchar en sendo vercal

(cornas, prendas colgadas, etc.) [Fig. 5].

Atención:

la función de golpe de vapor solamente puede ulizarse en temperaturas altas. Deje

de ulizarla cuando la luz indicadora de temperatura (9) se encienda; en ese caso,

vuelva a empezar a planchar únicamente cuando la luz se haya apagado.

Planchado en seco

Para planchar sin vapor, siga las instrucciones del apartado «Planchado de vapor»,

dejando el regulador de vapor (3) en la posición «0».

Función de pulverizador

Asegúrese de que hay agua en el depósito. Pulse el botón pulverizador (4) lentamente

(para una pulverización densa) o rápidamente (para una pulverización vaporizada)

[Fig. 6].

Atención:

para las prendas delicadas, recomendamos humedecer antes la tela ulizando el

botón pulverizador (4), o colocando un paño húmedo entre la plancha y la tela. Para

evitar manchas, no ulice el pulverizador sobre seda o tejidos sintécos.

Almacenamiento

• Desconecte el enchufe de la corriente.

• Vacíe el depósito girando la plancha hacia arriba y hacia abajo y moviéndola

ligeramente.

• Deje que la plancha se enfríe completamente.

• Enrolle el cable de alimentación con ayuda del rebobinador [Fig. 8].

• Guarde siempre la plancha en posición vercal.

Consejos para un buen planchado

• Recomendamos ulizar las temperaturas más bajas

con telas con acabados especiales (lentejuelas,

bordados, forro, etc.).

• Si la composición del tejido es mixta (p. ej., 40% de

algodón y 60% sintéco), ajuste el termostato a la

temperatura de la bra que requiera la temperatura más baja.

• Si no conoce la composición del tejido, determine la temperatura adecuada

probando en una esquina oculta de la prenda. Empiece a una temperatura baja y

vaya aumentándola gradualmente hasta que alcance la temperatura ideal.

• Nunca planche zonas con marcas de sudor u otras marcas: el calor de la base ja

las manchas en la tela, haciéndolas permanentes.

• El almidonado es más efecvo si uliza un planchado seco a una temperatura

moderada: un calor excesivo lo quemará con el riesgo de formar una mancha

amarilla.

• Para evitar marcar prendas de seda, lana o sintécas brillantes, plánchelas del revés.
