Thank you for buying a Fagor product! We are confident that it will give you many years good
service.
Before installing this product, please read the instructions and recommendations in the manual
thoroughly. Fagor is not able to take responsibility for any problems caused by incorrect
installation.
Once you have put up your towel rail, put this booklet in a safe place for future reference.
1. NOTES
When you unpack the towel rail, if there is any damage, contact your supplier before
continuing installation of the rail and connection of the electricity supply.
The installation must be done as per these instructions and follow the electrical diagrams
found in this manual.
We would recommend the use of a qualified electrician for installing and/or connecting the
electrical supply.
2. INSTRUCTIONS
The towel rail that you have just bought conforms with Class II IP – X4 safety regulations
(double protection and insulation from water). This means that it can be hung in area 2 of your
bathroom.
Under no circumstances, should this rail be placed in area 1 (see diagram 1).
diagram 1

18
Despite the fact the towel rail can be hung in part of area 2, it is still essential to ensure that
the certain minimum distances for safe usage of the electrical controls and electricity supply
are respected.
When choosing where to hang the rail, check the distance from your electricity supply or
nearest plug, in order to guarantee that the cable on the rail (1.2 m in length) will reach.
Assembly and Positioning
The assembly of this product is extremely straightforward. In the packaging, you will find all
the necessary parts for assembling and hanging your rail. However, to assist you, find the
steps you should follow below.
Step 1
Unpack the towel rail. Choose where you want to hang it and check this position complies with
the safety regulations and electrical needs, as detailed above. Mark where the brackets will
go, given that there must be a minimum of 200 mm from the floor to the lowest part of the rail.
The towel rail comes equipped with 4 brackets – 2 for the upper part of the rail and 2 for the
lower part. The two upper brackets must be placed 100 mm from the outside edge of the
towel rail and between pipes 2 and 3 (see diagram 2).
The two lower brackets must line up with the upper ones, following the same measurements -
10 cm from the outside edge and positioned between pipes 2 and 3, but this time, counting
from the bottom of the rail up.
Alternatively, with the 350 W towel rail one lower bracket can be placed in the centre (see
diagram 3).
diagram 2 diagram 3

19
Step 2
Once you have marked the position of the four brackets, use a drill to make the holes for the
rawl plugs, also supplied.
Once the rawl plugs are in the wall, put up the brackets as shown in the diagrams in the
assembly instructions.
Once the brackets are in place, use a screwdriver to hang the frame and finally, hide the
screw with the cover provided (see diagram 4).
Step 3
To prevent damage in transit, the towel rail’s heat control panel comes separately to the rail
itself and therefore needs inserting before connecting the rail to the electricity supply.
Line up the holes in the heat control panel’s easy-to-connect plug (see diagram 5) with the
pins on the towel rail itself (see diagram 6) to ensure easy assembly.

diagram 5 diagram 6

20
Gently slide the control panel into place
until both parts fit together (see diagram 7).
Make sure the control panel is correctly in
place before turning the valve a quarter turn
clockwise (see diagram 8).
Now, you can connect the rail to the
electricity supply.

3. ELECTRICS
Extremely important
Read the following notes carefully before carrying out any electrical connection.
Electrical work should always be carried out by a qualified electrician and in accordance
with the regulations governing low voltage appliances.
Before connecting the rail to the mains, make sure the electricity supply is the same as the
one shown on the plate on the bottom left-hand side of the towel rail. This should be 230 V
– 50Hz.
The socket or plug must be more than 30 cm from the floor.
For safety, turn off the electricity at the mains and check this is no longer live.
The towel rail has a cord with 3 wires. However, as this is a Class II appliance, only two
will be used.
The black wire is of no electrical use and under no circumstance can be
used as an earth.

Important
The black wire is actually labelled "fil pilote". This wire is only connected when the towel rail is
going to be thermostically controlled by a remote control device as part of the GIFAM system.
In any other case, it must be cut off as short as possible and covered with insulation
tape.
Follow the electrical diagrams carefully when making the connection, paying particular
attention to the colour of the wires.
Any failure to follow these instructions will automatically invalidate your guarantee.

As heating
Your newly installed towel rail is an ideal way to heat your bathroom, given its precise
electronic thermostat.
To achieve the perfect temperature for your bathroom, follow the instructions below:
Push the on/off button (a) and turn the thermostat control switch (d) clockwise to
maximum. Check
the on light (e) has gone red.
Leave the towel rail on until the room has reached the temperature you would like.
When the room is at the right temperature, turn the thermostat switch very slowly anti-
clockwise
until the on light goes green. Leave the switch in this position and from now
on, the towel rail’s electronic thermostat will ensure the room reaches this temperature
every time the rail is turned on.
Two hour programme
The towel rail/radiator has a timing device that allows you to leave it on for two hours at full
heat
. It automatically switches itself off after two hours.
To turn this function on or off, when the towel rail is on, simply press button b once.
This programme lends itself to:
keeping your bathroom warm when in the bath
drying towels, without worrying about having to remember to turn the heating off later
occasionally putting the rail on to reduce humidity
Anti-freeze
For those places which suffer extreme weather, the towel rail has an anti-freeze function
shown on the control switch as.
When the towel rail is on and the switch turned to this position, the towel rail automatically
switches on whenever the temperature in the bathroom falls below 7 C. It will then turn itself
off when the room reaches this temperature.

6. MAINTENANCE AND TIPS
Never use cleaning products on the towel rail. Simply clean with a dry cloth or when dirty
with a damp one.
Do not dry synthetic or acrylic clothes on the rail.
When drying towels on the rail, only hang two at a time on 350 W and no more 4 on the
700 W.
Any adjustments or repairs to the towel rail can only be carried out by approved staff from
the manufacturer or its technical team.

7. INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND
ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or
to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately
avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving
from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered
to obtain significant savings in energy and resources.
To remind you that you must collaborate with a selective collection scheme, the symbol shown
appears on the product warning you not to dispose of it in traditional refuse containers.
For further information, contact your local authority or the shop where you bought the product.
