Mount/Outdoor Antenna for SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

Your new antenna attaches to the mast of your

existing pole-mounted satellite TV dish or other

outdoor location for easy mounting and less rooftop

clutter. Connecting your Dish Mount/Outdoor

Antenna is easy. Simply follow the numbered

instructions to ensure optimal performance.

HOOK-UP INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

The Monster SIRIUS Dish Mount/Outdoor Antenna is

designed speciﬁcally to mount to the mast of your pole-

mounted satellite TV dish, but you may also attach it to a

wall, under an eave, or other outdoor location if optimal

(see Step 3). Determine the optimal antenna placement by

consulting the map provided. Optimal antenna placement

is dependent on your location in relation to the SIRIUS

satellites. In general, the antenna should be angled facing

the direction of the sky recommended in the map, as long

as there are no obstacles blocking the signal from the

satellite. Make sure the face of the antenna is positioned

facing the sky parallel with the ground.

If you need assistance determining optimal antenna

placement for your geographic location, call SIRIUS

at 1.888.539.SIRIUS (7474).

Position the antenna facing toward the satellite ( ) using

the following guidelines. If you live in:

Area 1: Mount the antenna facing EAST or NORTHEAST

Area 2: Mount the antenna facing NORTH or NORTHEAST

Area 3: Mount the antenna facing NORTH or NORTHWEST

Area 4: Mount the antenna facing WEST or NORTHWEST

Area 5: Mount the antenna ONLY ON THE ROOF (No wall mount)

Step 2

Once you have determined the location for optimal

antenna placement, measure the distance between

that location and the location of your satellite receiver

to ensure adequate cable length. Monster SIRIUS Antenna

Extension Cables are also available (sold separately)

should you require a longer cable length.

Using a screwdriver, remove the panel from the arm

of the Antenna and thread the Antenna cable through

the channel, leaving some slack at the top. (Fig. 1)

Reattach the panel. Securely attach the end of the

Antenna cable to the Antenna pod and run the other

end of the cable to the location of your SIRIUS Satellite

receiver or Plug & Play tuner inside your home. Connect

the Antenna cable to your unit by inserting the antenna’s

silver connection end into the port on your receiver/tuner

labeled “ANT IN” or SAT IN.” (Fig. 2)

Step 3

To mount the Antenna to the mast of your pole-mounted

satellite TV dish, position the Dish Mount/Outdoor

Antenna base against the mast with a clear view of the

sky. Slide one of the included U-bolts through the holes

at the top of the mounting bracket and around the mast

of your existing pole-mounted satellite TV dish, then

slide one of the mounting brackets over the two legs of

the U-bolt. Next, slide the washers on the U-bolt and

then screw the hex nuts on each leg until they are snug.

Repeat this procedure with the other U-bolt. When all

the hex nuts are snug, verify that the antenna is facing

the correct direction and tighten each hex nut with a

wrench. Adjust the antenna position until you are

satisﬁed with reception quality. Signal reception will

vary depending on location and may change over time,

requiring re-adjustment.

Important Note: If you chose to mount the Antenna in a location other than to

your satellite TV dish mast, Monster recommends you enlist the services of a

professional installer. If you decide to self-install, visit your local hardware store

for mounting advice and to purchase additional materials (anchors, screws etc.)

applicable to your particular mounting surface (wood, drywall, concrete, etc.). We

suggest taking the Antenna as a reference. Monster is not responsible for personal

injury/death or damage to property resulting from installation of this product.

Step 4

Installation complete! Now you can enjoy the 120+

channels of music, sports, news and entertainment

your new Monster SIRIUS Dish Mount/Outdoor Antenna
