7. Fill the basket to max 2/3 with food to fry which has been dried off before. For a optimal result we
recommend following quantities:
Frozen fries: fill the basket to max 2/3.
Fresh fries: max. 150 gr per liter oil or per 900 gr fat.
Delicate food, like croquettes, fish,…: only fill the bottom of the basket.
Caution: to avoid dangerous splashes always remove the exceeding ice from the frozen fries.
Caution: NEVER hang the basket full of frozen food above the oil or the fat as long as this is not warmed up
to 130°C. This causes serious splashes.
8. Slowly plunge the basket so that the water in the food gets the chance to evaporate.
Important: in order not to deteriorate the oil, NEVER add salt or spices before or during the frying. NEVER
defrost frozen food before frying.

The deep fryer will NOT restart when the power is back.
13. Only refold the handle of the basket when the oil is completely cooled down. Finally roll the cord in the cord
storage.
22
3.3. Frying time and temperatures
Clarification on pre-frying french fries: We advise to pre-fry fresh fries at 150°C. ATTENTION: new harvest
potatoes contain more water, so in this case we recommend to pre-fry at 170°C. But if you use older potatoes,
they will already get brown/coloured during the first baking cycle.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
4.1. Changing the solid fat
We recommend changing it right after the use of the deep fryer, when the fat is still liquid. Let the fat cool down
as long as possible. Then pour the fat in a receiver. Caution: danger of burns, the frying fat is still hot! Be careful.
If you decide to change the fat after that it has solidified entirely, follow the steps below:
1. Insert the plug in the socket.
2. Push the thermostat knob for 2 sec. (fig.A). The display will show « Turbo SF System Activated » and a
sound signal will be heard.
3. On the display following text will flash « Melting Solid Fat » (14).
4. Make some holes till the heating element with a wooden spoon in the fat (fig. G).
5. Push the thermostat knob to confirm (fig. C). The red lamp (fig.D) lights up and the fat will start melting.
Caution: if you do NOT push the thermostat knob within the 15 sec. the display will return to the previous
setting.
Caution: NEVER leave the deep fryer unattended whilst working. When the fat is liquid, switch off the
appliance and pull the plug. First remove the basket and then the control panel. Pour the melted fat
carefully in a receiver.
6. Don’t throw the fat away but bring it to the container park or a collection point.
7. Now clean the deep fryer: see point 4.3.
8. To add new frying fat: see point 3.1.2.
4.2. Changing the frying oil
1. Let the frying oil cool down to at least room temperature.
2. First remove the basket and then the control panel. Carefully pour the oil in a recipient.
3. Don’t throw the fat away but bring it to the container park or a collection point.
4.3. Cleaning
1. Remove the plug and let the deep fryer completely cool down before disassembling it. First remove the
basket, then the control panel with heating element and then the bowl.
2. -NEVER immerse the control panel in water or any other liquid. Only clean it with a damp cloth.
-Stainless steel housing, stainless steel lid and stainless steel bowl can be cleaned in the dishwasher or in hot
water with detergent. Nevertheless, we recommend to clean the stainless steel parts in hot water with
detergent, considering the aggressive detergents used in the dishwasher may affect the shine of the stainless
steel.
23
-Synthetic housing and synthetic lid can both be cleaned in the dishwasher or in hot water with detergent.
-Important: the painted metal housing and painted metal lid need to be cleaned in hot water with detergent.
In the dishwasher a discoloration may occur due to the aggressive chemicals used in the cleaning products.
-Clean the basket in hot water with detergent with a washing-up brush. NEVER let the basket soak in the
water to avoid rusting.
3. If you want to clean your deep fryer quickly, easily and safely, we advise you to use the FRITEL cleaner for
fryers. Fill the bowl of the deep fryer with warm water at + 40°C and add about 10 caps of FRITEL cleaner for
fryers. The product must soak in for +/- 20 minutes, then empty the bowl. Rinse thoroughly and wipe with a
soft towel. The FRITEL cleaner for fryers contains natural enzymes. So it’s environment-friendly,
biodegradable and non-toxic. The FRITEL cleaner for fryers can be applied to all materials like stainless steel,
synthetic, enamel, etc.
