into position, obtain two plastic, fiberglass or stainless steel3/8" bolts of the proper length (23"),nutsand
fourwashers.
Material Compatibility:The bracket components are made of 20% glass filled PP (Polypropylene, a
polyolefin), except for the gasket which
is made of closed cell neoprene.Make sure that the application
liquidswillnotharmanymaterialsthatwillbewetted.Todeterminethechemicalcompatibilitybetweenthe
componentsandyourapplicationliquids,refertotheCompassCorrosion.
INSTALLATION StepTwo
Installation:The LVM30 series bracket may be installed on the sidewall or lip of a tank.In sidewall
installations,theadjustingplateallowsyoutotiltthebracketifdesired.Theadjustingplate isnotusedwhen
mountingtothelipofatank.Assembleasshownintheillustrations,threadingwashersontotheboltsnextto
eachheadandnut.

NOTliquidtight;fluidshouldnotrisetotheboltlevel.
LevelTrackandSingleSwitchFittingInstallations:TheLVM30seriescanbeusedwithOmegaEngineering’s
LevelTrack
(LVM10series)orSingleSwitchFitting(LVM50series)mountingfittings.Bothsystemsshouldbe
mountedverticallyatapointinthetankwhereitwillnotbeexposedtoexcessivestress(suchasradialmixing
velocitiesinexcessof1.5feetpersecond).Whenmountinginatankwithamixer,mountthesystemsseries
closetothetankwallwerevelocitiesarelowest.Chooseamountinglocationwherethesensorswillfunction
correctly(awayfrominlet pipes thatmayspray onthe sensorscausingfalsereadings)andwherethe sensor
technologiesfunctionbest.
