Trend XDF153 User manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the installation instructions for the TREND XDF series LED luminaires, including models XDF153, XDF154, XDF155, XDF253, XDF254, XDF255, XDF353, XDF354, XDF355, XDF553, XDF554 and XDF555. These lights come with an IP65 rating and vary in wattage and color temperatures. They are designed to meet AS/NZS standards. The RCM Marking on this product applies to AS/NZS CISPR15:20011 “Limits and
methods of radio disturbance characteristics of electrical lighting and similar equipt-
ments.” This product is designed in accordance with AS/NZS60598 “Luminaires,

This product must be installed by a licenced electrician in accordance with AS/NZS 3000.
Disconnect electricity before any installation.
No part of the luminaire should be modified, if the luminaire is damaged it should be returned to
Trend Lighting.
The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of
life the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
To maintain Ingress Protection on IP65 Rated luminaires, ensure the fitting is installed in accordance
with the installation instructions and the mounting surface is able to provide an adequate seal as
per Step 3.
Before Installation
Be sure to read this installation pamphlet in its entirety before commencing installation.
Always ensure mains power is switched OFF before commencing any electrical work.

Please note: Ensure cut-out corresponds with selected fitting.
XDF35: 150mm

Connect driver to 240v mains
Bend springs upward and install luminaire into
ceiling. Once installed the springs should clamp
down on the ceiling to support the fixture.
To maintain IP65 rating ensure the luminaire is
installed on a flat, level ceilings and the silicone
gasket has an adequate seal to the mounting surface.
Ensure both the driver and luminaire are not covered
with any material.

Do not cover luminaire or driver with thermally insulating material. You can however,
safely abut timber rafters to simplify layout but a 50mm minimum clearance must be
kept around the light fitting from ceiling insulation.
