GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Warning: Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or
battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you
to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will
reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase
the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use
of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device
(RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.
Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such
as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to
power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your
finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wren
ch before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left
attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of
the power tool in unexpected situations.

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure
these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot
be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool
before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the
hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts
and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power
tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool
for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR POWER TOOL
1) Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
2) Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation whe
re the fastener
may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Fasteners contacting a “live” wire may make exposed metal
parts of the power tool “liveand could give the operator an electric shock.
3) When working with the power tool, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a secure
stance. The power tool is guided more secure with both hands.
4) Check the socket carefully for wear, cracks or damage before installation.
5) Use clamps or other practical way to secure the workpiece. Holding the workpiece by hand or
against your body is unstable and may lead to loss of control.
6) Always wait until the power tool has come to a complete stop before placing it down. The tool insert
can jam and lead to loss of control over the power tool.
7) The proper fastening torque may differ depending upon the kind or size of the bolt. Check the
torque with a torque wrench.
8) When an extension cord is required you must ensure it has the correct ampere rating for your
power tool and that it is in a safe electrical condition. Fully unwind extension cords to avoid potential

overheating.
DOUBLE INSULATION
The power tool is double insulated. This means that all the external metal parts are electrically insulated
from the main power supply. This is done by placing insulation barriers between the electrical and
mechanical components making it unnecessary for the power tool to be earthed.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Be sure the supply is the same as the voltage given on the rating plate. The power tool is fitted with a
two-core cable and plug.
Remove the main plug from socket before carrying out any adjustment or servicing.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Before using the power tool, read the instruction manual carefully.
1. Intended use
The machine is intended for driving in and loosening screws and bolts as well as for tightening and
loosening nuts within the respective range of dimension.
2. Before using your power tool
1) Use only impact sockets. Non-impact sockets may break and cause a hazardous condition.
2) Select correct size socket for bolts and nuts. An incorrect size socket will result in inaccurate and
inconsistent fastening torque and/or damage to the bolt or nut.
3. Installing or removing socket
1) To install the socket, slide the socket onto the square drive of the tool holder (See Fig 1). Tap it
lightly if required. When the socket is not firmly connected with the tool holder, it can come loose again
and not be controlled.
2) To remove the socket, simply pull it off.
4. Switching On and Off
The switch is reversible, providing either clockwise or counterclockwise rotation. To start the tool,
simply pull the lower part F of the switch trigger for clockwise or the upper part R for
counterclockwise (See Fig 2). Release the switch trigger to stop.
Note: Change the direction of rotation only when the power tool comes to a complete stop. Changing it
before the power tool stops may damage the power tool.
5. Operation
1) The tool holder with the socket is driven by an electric motor via a gear and impact mechanism. The
working procedure is divided into two phases: Screwing in and tightening (impact mechanism in action).
The impact mechanism is activated as soon as the screwed connection runs tight and thus load is put
on the motor. In this instance, the impact mechanism converts the power of the motor to steady rotary
impacts. When loosening screws or nuts, the process is reversed.
2) Before starting your job, always perform a test operation to determine the proper fastening time for
your bolt. If you fasten the bolt for a time longer than fastening time required, the bolt or the socket may
be overstressed, damaged, etc.
3) Hold the power tool firmly and place the socket over the bolt or nut. Turn the power tool on and
fasten for the proper fastening time.
Note: Hold the power tool pointed straight at the bolt or nut without applying excessive pressure on the
tool.
WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR POWER TOOL
1.The fastening torque is affected by a wide variety of factors including the following:
Voltage: Low voltage, due to generator or long extension cord, will reduce fastening torque.

Socket size: Failure to use the correct socket size will cause a reduction in fastening torque.
Bolt size: Larger bolt diameters generally require higher fastening torque. Fastening torque will also
vary according to length, grade, and torque coefficient.
Bolt: Ensure that all threads are free of rust and other debris to allow proper fastening torque.
Material: The type of material and surface finish of the material will affect fastening torque.
Fastening Time: Longer fastening time results in increased fastening torque. Using a longer fastening
time than recommended could cause the fasteners to be overstressed, stripped or damaged.
2.To help prevent damaging the fasteners or workpieces, avoid excessive impacting. Be particularly
careful when impacting smaller fasteners because they require less impacting to reach optimum torque.
Practice with various fasteners, noting the length of time required to reach the desired torque. Check
the tightness with a hand-torque wrench. If the fasteners are too tight, reduce the impacting time. If they
are not tight enough, increase the impacting time.
3. The maximum torque is achieved after an impact duration of 5-8 seconds. After this duration, the
tightening torque is increased only minimally. However, the transmission housing heats up noticeably.
MAINTENANCE
Warning: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing
or maintenance.
1. Keep the power tool ventilation slots clean and free from obstructions. If available, blow compressed
air into the vents to clear any internal dust (safety goggles must be worn when undertaking this
process).
2. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
3. Inspect sockets prior to use to ensure that it contains no cracks.
4. Always store your power tool in a dry place.
5. If you see some sparks flashing in the ventilation slots, this is normal and will not damage your power
tool.
6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1. If your power tool will not operate, check the power at the mains plug, or check the carbon brushes.
2. If the power tool doesn’t work properly, check the socket holes, replace new one if worn.
3. If a fault cant be rectified, return the power tool to an authorized dealer for repair.
