Introduction
Each new model shall be equipped with this operator manual to provide
necessary instructions for operation and maintenance.
Please read this manual carefully before operating and repairing this manual for a full
understanding of this machine.
In spite of the excellent services this machine provides with, adhesion to the following
precautions will bring more benet with less endeavor:
● Operate the machine with caution.
● Maintain the machine periodically--according to maintenance instructions for
the machine.
● Use the special parts provided by GAOMEI or equivalent ones during maintenance.
Usage:
JVC70RIDER is a ride-on industrial/commercial machine used to scrub rough
and smooth hard surfaces such as concrete, ceramic tile floor, stone, and synthetic
materials, etc. Typically, this machine is designed solely for cleaning smooth ooring
in an indoor environment like schools, hospitals/health care facilities, ofce buildings,
and marketplace, but it is not allowed to use it on earth surface, grassland, articial
turf, or carpeted areas, neither can it be used for road cleaning. Any operation other
than those stated in the operator manual is not recommended.

Safety Precautions—Keep Properly
Signs used in this manual and relevant instructions are given as follows:
WARNING: To warn the hazards or unsafe operations that may cause severe
personal injury or death.
The following signs mean warning of danger for operators who should learn
about when such situation will occur,how to find all the potential safety
hazards, and report on machine damage or fault operation.
WARNING: Hydrogen emitted by batteries may lead to fire or explosion,
keep them away from sparks or open re.
WARNING: Do not use ammable materials in the tank in case of explosion
or re.
WARNING: Flammable materials or reactive materials can cause explosion
or re. Do not pick up.
FOR SAFETY:
1. Do not operate the machine:
-Unless trained or authorized
-Unless operation manual is carefully read and fully understood.
-After taking alcohol or drugs.
-When using a mobile phone or other electronic devices.
-With brake disabled.
-When operator is not in an appropriate working condition.
-If the machine lies in the presence of combustible gas/liquid/dust.
-If it is too dark to check control unit or to operate the machine safely, unless the
machine is under operation or lighting is provided.
-In case of dropped stuff, unless equipped with a ceiling.
2.When operating the machine:
-Check if there is liquid leakage on the machine.
-Keep sparks and open ame away from fuel recharge area.
-Make sure all the safety devices are in place and operate properly.
-Check whether the brake and steering apparatus operate properly.
3. When using the machine:

-Follow the instructions in this manual.
-Use brake to stop the machine.
-Go slowly on inclines and slippery surfaces.
-Slow down before turning.
-Make sure the whole body of operator is inside the control console when the
machine is running.
-Take care when the machine reverses.
-Children are forbidden to play on or near the machine.
-Do not carry passengers on the machine.
-Follow safety and trafc rules.
-Report machine damage or fault operation immediately.
-Follow the mixing and handling instructions on chemical containers.
-Follow the safety instructions on wet oor.
-Follow the in-situ safety instructions on wet oor.
4. Before leaving or servicing the machine:
-Stop the machine on level surfaces.
-Turn off machine and remove the key.
5. When service the machine:
-All the job must be done in an environment with good illumination ad high
visibility.
-Avoid moving parts. Do not wear loose jackets, shirts or sleeves when working on
the machine. Get long hair tied.
-Do not push or tow the machine on inclines with the brake disabled.
-Do not power spray or hose off the machine. Electrical malfunction may occur.
-Disconnect battery before working on the machine.
-Battery must be installed by trained or authorized personnel.
-Maintenance must be carried out by well-trained technicians.
-Do not ret the any part of the machine that is different from its original design.
-Use the parts provided or approved by JohnnyVac.
-Wear necessary personal protective equipment recommended by this manual.

6. When loading/unloading the machine onto/off the truck or trailer:
-Drain the tanks before loading machine.
-Lower the scrub head and squeegee before tying down the machine.
-Turn off the machine and remove the key.
-Use a ramp, truck or trailer that can support the machine weight and operator's.
-Use a winch. Do not push the machine onto the truck or trailer/pull it off the truck
or trailer unless loading height is less than 380 mm (15in) above the ground.
-Block the machine tires.
-Tie the machine to the tuck or trailer.

Parts need to be cleaned up: A
solution tank, brush, pad holder
or pad, a squeegee assembly, a
vacuum motor and a recovery
tank.
Brushing function is controlled
by the buttons on the control
panel. Turn on brush motor
switch and squeegee lifting
switch, lay the brush and
squeegee down. Set forward/
backward switch to "forward"
position, adjust the speed switch
appropriately (turn the switch to proper speed and water yield based on different
types of ground). Release the manual brake and depress the pedal to start washing.
There are two brushes available, and the width of brush head is 360mm (14 inches).
NOTE: The type of brush head or cleaning pad is determined by the severity and
type of dirt. For special suggestions, please refer to Section Brush Information of
this manual or conduct the representatives of GAOMEI.
Scrubbing Method
Water and detergent in solution tank ow to the brush and ground via the magnetic
valve. The solution of water and detergent is used to scrub the ground by brush head
rotation. The squeegee will take up the waste water into solution tank with vacuum
motor while the machine is operating.

Operation
To ensure optimal effect, use appropriate types of brushes to do scrubbing.
Recommended brushes and pads are given as follows:
Synthetic resin brushes--
Soft synthetic resin brushes are generally used to
scrub particles without scratching the lighted side nishes of the oor and ground.
Nylon brush--
It is recommended that this nylon brush be used to scrub the oor
nishes without scratching them.
Pad holder and pad--
It is used to scrub floor and painted ground to make it
bright and clean.
Attached information:
Pad holder and pad: 330mm (13 inches) Continental foam pad holder+NP-500 clip
FBP180002.
Brush model: 330mm (13 inches) continental 0.50 scrubbing brush +NP 500 clip
FBP 180002.

Install squeegee assembly
1. Stop the machine on a smooth surface.
2. Turn the ON/OFF key switch off.
FOR SAFETY: Stop the machine on a smooth surface when leaving or servicing
it, turn it off and remove the key.
3. Install squeegee to squeegee support and tighten the two screw nuts.
4. As is shown in the following gure, connect suction hose with the squeegee assembly.
Squeegee assembly has been set up before delivery. For any adjustment of squeegee
assembly, please refer to Section Install Squeegee in this manual.

or cleaning pad.

Fill Solution Tank
FOR SAFETY: Stop the machine on a smooth surface when leaving or servicing it,
turn it off and remove the key.
The water injection hole for solution tank is located at the back of machine.
WARNING: Do not use ammable materials in the tank in case of explosion
or re.
Scrubbing method: Open water injection hole of solution tank and inject some water
(water temperature should not be higher than 60
). Pour the detergent into tank
based on the mixture ratio specied on tank. Fill warm water into the tank. Defoamer
is needed in recovery tank (please refer to the mixture ratio on the package).
FOR SAFETY: When using machine, follow mixing and handling instructions on
chemical containers.
NOTE: When ling the solution tank with a bucket,, make sure that it is clean. Do
not use the same bucket for lling and draining he machine.
ATTENTION: For conventional scrubbing, only use recommended cleaning
detergents. Machine damage due to improper detergent usage, such as washing
powder, will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Pre-operational Check
Check whether there is liquid leakage on the machine.
Check tank cover seals for damage and wear.'
Check the sewage lter for blockage.
Check the conditions of scrubbing brushes. Remove any string, banding, plastic
wrap, or other debris wrapped around them.
Check the squeegees for damage, wear, and for deection adjustment.
Check the suction hose and sewage inlet of squeegee for blockage or rupture on
the pipe.
Drain and clean recovery tank.
Check brake and steering for proper operation.
Check speaker and backup light for proper operation.
Check service records to determine maintenance requirements.
Before Operation
Pick up oversized debris in advance before cleaning. Pick up pieces of wire, string ,twine,
etc that may be wrapped around the scrubbing brush.
Make a plan for scrubbing in advance. Try to arrange long runs with minimum
stopping and starting. Do an entire oor or section at one time.
Sweep the machine to prevent streaking.

FOR SAFETY: Do not operate the machine unless operator manual is read and
understood.
1. Turn the ON/OFF key switch on.
2. Press brush motor switch and vacuum motor switch. Lay the brush and squeegee
assembly down.
3. Select the preferred scrubbing speed. Turn the water valve switch to an appropriate
water flow. Set direction switch (forward/backward) according to the direction the
machine moves to.
NOTE 1: The machine is in normal scrubbing state when forward/backward switch is
set to "forward" position.
NOTE 2: Squeegee assembly will rise automatically, vacuum motor stops and
backup light is on for alarm when forward/backward switch is set to "backward"
position.
4. Press the pedal to start scrubbing.

WARNING: Flammable materials or reactive metals can cause explosion or
re. Do not pick up.
5. Release the pedal to stop the machine. Turn vacuum motor switch on to rise
squeegee. Turn brush motor lifting switch on to rise the brush. Press the brake
pedal, pull the manual brake lever to the left, turn the power supply off, and stop the
machine.
6. The brake pedal can be used to control the machine if quicker stopping is needed or
if operating on an incline. Do not operate machine on inclines exceeding 7%(4°).
FOR SAFETY: Operate slowly on inclines or smooth surfaces when using the
machine.

During Operation
Drive as straight a path as possible. Avoid bumping into the posts or scraping the sides
of machine. Overlap the scrub paths for several centimeters (several inches).
Avoid turning the steering wheel substantially since the machine is sensitive to
steering wheel rotation. Avoid sudden turning unless emergency.
Please do scrubbing from the bottom when the machine reaches to the bottom of
passage.
Adjust machine speed and water ow as needed during scrubbing. Keep driving at a
moderate speed with minimum water ow.
Keep the machine running to avoid damages to the ground.
If poor scrubbing performance is observed, stop scrubbing and refer to
troubleshooting.
Scrubbing method
Pour a recommended foam control solution into recovery tank if excessive foam
occurs. Otherwise the vacuum motor may be damaged if the foam is sucked into the
motor.
Change the pad holder or cleaning pad as necessary for better scrubbing performance.
Observe the battery indicator to ensure there is adequate power for machine to
operate.
Observe the solution tank indicator to ensure the solution does not run out. Please
clean the tank before relling.
Remove the key when leave the machine unattended.
Perform daily maintenance after scrubbing (see Maintenance).
Drive the machine slowly on inclines: press brake pedal to control the machine
and turn down speed switch when driving down. Do scrubbing when machine goes
upward instead of downward.
FOR SAFETY: Drive slowly when using machine on inclines or smooth surfaces.
Do not operate the machine in areas where the temperature exceeds 43
(110°F).
Scrubbing function cannot be used in areas where the temperature is lower than 0
(32°F).
Maximum rated slope is 7% during operation. Maximum rated inclination for
transporting the machine is 19.25%.

Water gauge tube of Solution Tank
Water gauge tube of solution tank can roughly indicate the real-time water level so as
to ensure proper operation of machine (water level of solution tank is suggested to be
kept above half the height of water gauge tube to guarantee water pressure and water
ow).

Recovery Tank Full Indicator
The recovery tank full indicator will shut off the power supply of vacuum motor
without disabling scrubbing functions when the tank is full. Please drain it timely to
guarantee scrubber's proper operation.
Battery Voltage Indicator
Battery voltage indicator displays battery capacity.
All the (10) indicator lamps will be on when the battery gets fully charged and then
and then go out in sequence form right to left with electricity consumption. When
battery electricity is exhaust, the left-most lamp (red) blinks.
In this case, the machine will stop scrubbing to warn the operator of current battery
voltage. When the indicator blinks, the machine will stop for charging.
NOTE: Frequent charging is not allowed, it is better to charge the batteries when
necessary; over charging will shorten battery service life. Do not charge the machine
until the left-most indicator lamp blinks; the left-most indicator lamp won't stop
blinking until the batteries are fully charged.

power supply in case of overloaded circuits.
