Fender Fortis F-18SUB Powered Subwoofer
Fender’s Fortis F-18SUB powered subwoofer is an active sound
reinforcement loudspeaker that delivers excellent delity, features,
reliability, durability and ease of setup and use. Powerful and versatile,
it features 1,000 watts of peak output power, special audio routing
for true stereo when using two full-range enclosures with a single
subwoofer, and an easily switchable crossover with three dierent
settings for optimizing performance when pairing the subwoofer with
a variety of full-range enclosures. Fortis F-18SUB also oers:

• 35mm pole-mount receptacle for use with Fortis full-range

Rear Panel Controls and Features
A. INPUTS: Dual balanced stereo line-level inputs with combination
XLR/TRS connectors. Internally sums left and right signals when
using a single subwoofer.
B. LOOP OUTPUTS: Dual balanced stereo line-level outputs with
XLR connectors. Provides full-range stereo output when pairing a
single subwoofer with Fortis full-range speaker models.
C. VOLUME: Adjusts overall subwoofer volume.
D. LIMIT LED: Activity indicator for driver/amplier protection
limiter. Illuminates intermittently when system nears maximum
level; illuminates continuously when in system-protection mode.
E. LOW PASS: Three-position switch provides specic low-frequency
crossover points. Use the “100” setting (100 Hz) when paired with a
Fortis F-15BT, the “125” setting (125 Hz) when paired with a Fortis F-
12BT, or the “150” setting (150 Hz) when paired with a Fortis F-10BT.
F. FRONT LED SWITCH: Three-position switch congures bi-color
LED on the front of the enclosure to indicate power only (“power”
position), power and limiting (“limit” position) or complete deac-
tivation (“o” position).
G. CONTOUR BUTTON: Provides increased low-frequency exten-
sion and mild reduction of upper subwoofer frequencies.
H. POLARITY BUTTON: Reverses input polarity.
I. POWER CORD: Connect to a grounded outlet in accordance with
the voltage and frequency specications.
J. POWER SWITCH: Turns unit on and o.
