20mm Jersey Barriers
B20-WF-107
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and
remember to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in
place while you allow glue to dry.
Take the four uprights and central bar as shown above
from the sprue.
Slide the uprights onto the bar, gluing them at one
end (see pic)
Take two of the “gap” pieces and two more uprights.
Glue one of the uprights into place, followed by the
two “gap” pieces. Add the other upright.
Repeat this process in reverse to create the other half
of the barrier.
See pic ( --> ) for how the rest of the pieces are
positioned.
The finished items.
Painting
After construction we sprayed the models with a matt black car primer aerosol, then applied a heavy drybrush
of a dark blue/grey colour emulsion.
After that had dried we applied a lighter drybrush of a pale grey colour, then followed this by a very light dry-
brush of an almost white emulsion.
All our emulsion paints are DIY store colour-test pots.
