GF GFCP Calibration Tool Owner's manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the provided instruction manual for the Calibration Tool from GEORG FISCHER. This manual details the steps for calibrating the tool, including the use of a top load clamp, pressure monitoring with the gauge, and adjustment procedures. I'm ready to assist with your questions about this tool.
  • What should I do if the gauge reads pressure with no load?
What pressure should the gauge read when the test is complete?
What do I need to do to adjust if gauge is out of range?

1. Verify the calibration tool reads 0 psi with no load. If gauge shows any
pressure, the tool will need to be services.
2. New Top Load Clamp - find a suitable flat,
stable surface to place the calibration tool
on where the strap can be positioned for
security (such as a shop vice). Ensure knob is
fully retracted before tightening strap.
Older Top Load Clamp - center calibration
tool on base plate and lower top bar and
holder onto calibration tool. Ensure knob is
fully retracted.

3. Tighten Top Load Clamp until indicator is flush with top of knob. If gauge reads 200 psi (+/- 20 psi),
test is complete.
4. If gauge is out of range, follow these steps:
A. Break the jam nut loose and slightly retighten.
B. Turn knob until 200 psi is reached.
C. Loosen jam nut.
D. Adjust knob so pin is flush.
E. Slightly tighten jam nut.
F. Loosen knob and then return to 200 psi.
G. Make sure pin is still flush.
H. Tighten jam nut completely.
