Thermo Fisher Scientific Upgrading Installation guide

You must have administrator rights to install Thermo Scientific™ Mass Frontier™ 8.0 SR1 software on

your computer. For detailed installation instructions, refer to the Installation Instructions located on the

software media or downloaded as a ZIP file from the Thermo Scientific Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry

(LSMS) Software Download and Licensing Portal.

Installation To upgrade your Mass Frontier 8.0 installation to Mass Frontier 8.0 SR1

1. Download Mass Frontier 8.0 SR1 from the LSMS Download and Licensing Portal to your local

processing computer. To log in to this portal, go to the following URL:

https://thermo.flexnetoperations.com/control/thmo/login

2. Open the Windows™ Control Panel and navigate to the Uninstall or Change a Program screen.

3. Uninstall Mass Frontier 8.0.

4. Install Mass Frontier 8.0 SR1.

Your user libraries from Mass Frontier 8.0 are automatically restored after you install Mass Frontier 8.0

SR1. Your Mass Frontier 8.0 license is also retained in Mass Frontier 8.0 SR1.

Upgrading from Mass Frontier 8.0 to Mass Frontier 8.0 SR1

IMPORTANT You must uninstall Mass Frontier 8.0 before installing Mass Frontier 8.0 SR1. If you

do not uninstall Mass Frontier 8.0, the installation terminates, and an error message appears. Close

the error message and uninstall Mass Frontier 8.0.
