Dear Customer,
Please read and comply with
these instructions prior to the
initial operation of your appliance. Retain
these operating instructions for future refer-
ence or for subsequent possessors.
This appliance has been designed for use in
private households and is not intended for
commercial use.
By purchasing this appliance you have
become the owner of a spray extraction
appliance for maintenance or basic
cleaning of carpeting with a deep clean-
ing effect.
Hard surfaces can also be cleaned by
using the hard surface attachment for the
spray ex ground nozzle (included).
With the respective attachments (includ-
ed) it can also be used as a wet/dry vac-
uum cleaner.
The packaging material can be recy-
cled. Please do not place the packag-
ing into the ordinary refuse for disposal, but
arrange for the proper recycling.
Old appliances contain valuable ma-
terials that can be recycled. Please
arrange for the proper recycling of old
appliances. Please dispose your old appli-
ances using appropriate collection systems.
Apart from the notes contained herein the
general safety provisions and rules for the
prevention of accidents of the legislator must
be observed.
Any use of the machine in contravention with
the following instructions will lead to warran-
ty claims being rendered void.
Electrical connection
Only connect the appliance to properly
earthed sockets.
The voltage indicated on the type plate
must correspond to the voltage of the
socket.
In wet rooms, e.g. bathrooms, connect
the appliance to sockets with a series
connected RCD adapter. If you are not
sure, please contact an electrician.
Never touch the mains plug and the
socket with wet hands.
Only use a splashproof extension cable
with a minimum section of 3x1 mm².
Never use a damaged power cord or ex-
tension cable! If the power cord is dam-
aged it must be replaced with a special
power cord available from the manufac-
turer or his customer service.
Make sure that the power cord or exten-
sion cables are not damaged by running
over, pinching, dragging or similar. Pro-
tect the power cord from heat, oil, and
sharp edges.
If couplings of the power cord or exten-
sion cable are replace the splash protec-
tion and the mechanical tightness must
be ensured.
Please switch off the machine first using
the main switch before disconnecting the
machine from the mains.
To separate the machine from the mains,
pull the plug and not the power cord.

Application
The operator must use the appliance
properly. He must consider the local con-
ditions and must pay attention to third
parties, in particular children, when
working with the appliance.
Check the faultless condition of the appli-
ance and the accessories before using it.
Otherwise, the appliance must not be
used.
Never dip the machine, the cable or the
plugs in water or other liquids.
It is not allowed to use the appliance in
hazardous locations. If the appliance is
used in hazardous areas the corre-
sponding safety provisions must be ob-
served.
Protect the appliance against external
weather, humidity and heat sources.
The appliance must not be operated by
children, young persons or persons who
have not been instructed accordingly.
The appliance must provide of a stable
ground.
If the machine falls down, first get it
checked by an authorised Customer
Service agent because there can be in-
ternal damages that hamper the safety of
the product.
Do not suck in toxic substances.
Do not suck in burning or glowing objects
such as cigarette buds, ash or other
burning or glowing materials.
Do not use the machine to vacuum clean
plaster of Paris, cement, etc. that can
harden on coming into contact with water
and can thus hamper the functioning of
the machine.
Always place the machine in a horizontal
position during operation.
Never leave the appliance unattended
as long as it is in operation.
Do not use the recommended deter-
gents in an undiluted state. The prod-
ucts are safe for operations as they do
not contain any environment hazardous
substances. If the detergent comes in
contact with the eyes, please rinse the
eyes thoroughly with water and consult a
doctor immediately if the detergent has
been swallowed.
Only use cleaners recommended by the
manufacturer and comply with their ap-
plication, disposal and warning guide-
lines.
Caution
Certain materials may produce explosive va-
pours or mixtures when agitated by the suc-
tion air!
Never vacuum up the following materials:
Explosive or combustible gases, liquids
and dust particles (reactive dust parti-
cles)
Reactive metal dust particles (such as
aluminium, magnesium, zinc) in combi-
nation with highly alkaline or acidic deter-
gents
Undiluted, strong acids and alkalies
Organic solvents (such as petrol, paint
thinners, acetone, heating oil).
In addition, these substances may cause the
appliance materials to corrode.
Maintenance
Turn off the appliance and remove the
mains plug prior to any care and mainte-
nance works.
To avoid risks, all repairs and replace-
ment of spare parts in the machine may
only be carried out by the authorised
customer service personnel.
Always use original spare parts and ac-
cessories permitted by the manufacturer
so that the safety of the machine remains
intact.

When you unpack the system, check that
everything is complete.
If there are any missing parts or you detect
any transport damage when unpacking,
please inform your dealer immediately.
Note: The front cover pages include pictures
of the appliance and its operation. Please
unfold these first.

Î Remove the fresh water reservoir.
Press the release and remove the tank.
Note: The motor casing can only be re-
moved if the fresh water reservoir was
removed first.

Î Remove the motor casing. For this,
fold the carrying handle forward to un-
latch the reservoir. Remove the acces-
sories and swivel casters from the
reservoir.

Î Turn the container, press in the swivel
casters in the openings at the base of the
container till the end-point.

Î Turn the motor casing around and attach
the foam filter to the filter basket.
Î Insert the filter cover and turn to lock.
Î Install the motor casing. Pull up on the
carrying handle to lock.

Î Install the fresh water reservoir. Insert
the bottom part first and then press to-
ward the top on the motor compartment
to check if it is locked in.

Î Slide the spray handle onto the handle
until it locks into place.
Î Attach the spray hose of the spray han-
dle to the suction hose using 8 mounting
clips.
Î Attach the suction hose and the spray
hose to the connectors on the appliance.
Note: Press the suction hose tightly into
the connector to lock it into place.

Î Connect the suction pipes and attach to
the handle.

Î Insert the loose spray hose in the spray
handle and attach to the suction pipes
using the 2 included mounting clips.
Î Attach the floor nozzle to the suction
pipes and insert the spray hose into the
floor nozzle. Rotate the exterior safety le-
ver and lock the spray hose into place.
The appliance is now prepared for wet
cleaning.
Always work with an inserted foam fil-
ter - during wet as well as dry vacuum
cleaning!
Health risk, risk of damage!
Check the object to be cleaned prior to using
the appliance in an inconspicuous place for
colour fastness and water resistance.
Do not clean water-sensitive floor coverings
such as wood floors (the moisture could
penetrate and damage the floor).
Note
Warm water (max. 50°C) will increase the
cleaning effect.
Î Work without the hard surface insert.
Please only use the carpet cleaner RM 519
(also effective against foaming in the reser-
voir).
Î Slide the attachment for hard surfaces
onto the spray ex floor nozzle from the
side. The bristles should point towards
the back.
Note: You can remove the water reservoir to
fill it or you can fill it directly on the appliance.

Î Flip the reservoir cover up.
Î Add 100 - 200 ml (volume depends on
degree of contamination) of RM 519 into
the fresh water reservoir, then add tap
water - do not overfill.
Î Close the reservoir cover.

Î Insert the plug into the socket.
Î Press the switch for suction (position I),
suction turbine is running.

Î Close fully the surrounding air separator
at the handle.

Î Press the switch for spraying (position I),
the detergent pump is ready.
Î Use the lever on the spray handle to
spray on detergent solution.
Î Run across the surface to be cleaned in
overlapping paths. Pull the nozzle back-
wards (do not push).
Note: If the reservoir is full, a float closes the
suction opening, and the appliance works at
a higher speed.
Î Switch the appliance off by pressing the
switch for suction and spraying
(position 0).
Î Remove the accessories and the fresh
water reservoir and unlatch the motor
casing.
Î Remove the motor casing and empty the
reservoir.
Always work from the light to the shade
(from the window to the door).
Always work from the cleaned to the un-
cleaned surface.
Rugs with jute backing can shrink if too
much water is used and can bleed col-
ours.
Brush high-fiber rugs in the direction of
the weave after cleaning (using a fiber
brush or a scrubber).

Water-proofing the fabric using Care Tex
RM 762 after the wet cleaning prevents a
quick resoiling of the textile surface.
Do not step on cleaned surfaces until
they have dried and do not place furni-
ture on them to avoid pressure spots or
rust stains.
Î Turn on suction and spraying (position I).
Î Spray and simultaneously suction off de-
tergent solution in one work cycle.
Î Switch off the spray switch and suction
off the remaining cleaning solution.
Î After cleaning the carpets, reclean them
using clear, warm water and waterproof
if needed.
Î Switch on sprayer (position I).
Î Apply detergent solution and soak for 10
to 15 minutes (suction is switched off).
Î Clean the surface just like you would with
light/normal soiling.
Î After cleaning the carpets, reclean them
using clear, warm water and waterproof
if needed.
Caution
Always work with the filter bag inserted, ex-
cept when a cartridge filter is used (option).
The reservoir and accessories must be dry
to prevent parts from sticking together.
Note: If the device is preferably used for dry
vacuuming, we recommend removing the
spray handle and the spray hose.

and pull the spray handle off the handle.

tach to the suction pipes or directly to the

Î Insert the hard surface inlay into the floor
nozzle. The bristles should point towards
the front.
Î Work without the hard surface insert.

adapt the suction force.
Note: Close the surrounding air separa-
tor again after use!
Caution
Do not use a filter bag!
Immediately switch the appliance off or pull
the power plug if foam forms or liquids es-
cape!
Note: If the container is full a float closes the
suction opening and the appliance works at
a higher speed. Switch off the appliance im-
mediately and empty the container.
Î Attach the accessories to vacuum mois-
ture or wetness to the suction pipes or di-
rectly to the handle.
Î Switch on suction (position I).

ter is suctioned from a tank. Close it
again after use.
Î Empty the full reservoir (refer to chapter
"Empty reservoir").
Î Turn off the appliance.

water.

Î Remove the accessories from the appli-
ance after each use and disassemble the
hose, nozzle and extension pipes.
Note: Possibly remaining water can drip
out, therefore you should place these
into the shower or bathtub.
Î Flush the accessories separately under
runningn water and let air dry.
Î Clean the foam filter under running wa-
ter; let it dry before reinserting it.
Î Leave the appliance open to let it dry.
Î Storing the appliance. Store the acces-
sories on the appliance and store in dry
rooms.
Risk of injury
Always switch off the appliance and pull out
the mains plug before care and maintenance
work.

Î Loosen nozzle attachment and pull out,
clean or replace spray nozzle.

structions).
