The product is exclusively designed for heating and boiling water. It is only intended
for private use and not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the product as described in this user manual. Any other use is considered

through improper or incorrect use.

3. General safety instructions
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
Read all instructions.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use handles or knobs.
To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do
not immerse the product, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or
near children.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow the product to cool before putting on or taking off parts,
and before cleaning the product.
Do not operate the product with a damaged cord or plug or
after the product malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner. Return the product to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
product’s manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or
injury to persons.
Do not use the product outdoors.
Do not let cord hang over the edge of tables or counters, or
touch hot surfaces.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
Always attach the plug to the product first, then plug the cord
into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF”
then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
Do not use the product for other than intended use.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot liquids.
Do not open the lid during the heating process. Scalding may
occur if the lid is opened during the heating process.

This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended
to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the

A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply
cord) is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords

resistant and sufficiently stable surface. Do not place the
product on the edge of the surface.
Set up the product so that the hot steam emitted during use
can be dispelled easily.
Avoid letting heat build up by not placing the product right
next to a wall or under a wall cupboard or similar. The steam
that is emitted could damage furniture.
During use, make sure that the product’s spout is not pointed
towards sensitive surfaces or wallpapers as the steam that is
emitted could damage them.
Never place the product on or near hot surfaces (e.g. hobs).
Ensure that the mains cord does not come into contact with hot
parts.
Never expose the product to high temperatures (e.g. heaters)
or to the influence of weather (e.g. rain).
Never immerse the product in water or place it in a

6. First use
6.1. Checking the product and scope of delivery
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
If you are not cautious when opening the packaging
with a sharp knife or other pointed object, you may
quickly damage the product.
For this reason, be very careful when opening it.
Take the product out of the packaging.
Check to make sure that all parts are included:
Kettle
Base (with power cord)
Anti-scale filter (inside the kettle)
User Manual
Check whether the product or individual parts are damaged. If this is the case,
do not use the product. Contact the manufacturer via the service address
indicated on the warranty card.
6.2. Basic cleaning
Remove the packaging material and all plastic wrappings.
Clean all parts of the product before first use as described in the chapter
“8„8. Cleaning“ on page 16.
7. Operation
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the product may result in injury.
Do not touch the hot surfaces of the product with
bare hands.
Hot steam may emit during operation. Keep your
hands and head away from the steam to avoid
burning and scalding.
7.1. Boiling water
Fully unwind and extend the power cord (8) from the cord wrap located on the
underside of the base (9).

Run the power cord through one of the cable openings on the base.
Place the base on a level and stable surface. Make sure it does not wobble.
Press the release button (2) to open the lid (1) (see Fig. B).
Hold the water tank by the handle (3) and fill the water tank (5) with cold
water. Make sure the water level is always between 0.3 L (minimum) and 1.0 L
(maximum) on the water level indicator (6).
Close the lid. Make sure the lid audibly locks into place.
Place the water tank onto the base (see Fig. C).
Properly connect the power cord to a power outlet.
Push the on/off switch (4) downwards to start the heating process.
The light in the on/off switch illuminates during the heating process.
Wait until the water boils. The product switches off automatically when the water
boils.
Hold the water tank by the handle and lift it off the base.
Slowly pour the water out through the spout (7). Do not open the lid while doing
so.
Place the water tank back onto the base and disconnect the power cord from the
power outlet after use.
7.2. Stopping the boiling process
You can switch off the product any time during the boiling process. This can be done
in two ways:
Push the on/off switch (4) upwards during the boiling process.
Hold the water tank (5) by the handle (3) and lift it off the base (9) during the
boiling process.
7.3. Boil-dry protection
The boil-dry protection automatically activates if there is no more liquid in the water
tank (5) to prevent damaging the product.
If the boil-dry protection is triggered:
Disconnect the power cord (8) from the power outlet.
Let the product cool off completely for at least 15 minutes.
Continue to use the product as usual.

8. Cleaning
WARNING!
Burn hazard!
The product will get hot during operation and may
cause burns.
Let the product cool off completely before each
cleaning.
NOTICE!
Risk of short circuit!
Water and other liquids that have penetrated the
housing may cause a short circuit.
Make sure that no water or other liquids penetrate
the housing.
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the product may result in damage.
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, brushes with
metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning
utensils such as knives, hard scrapers and the like.
They could damage the surfaces.
Do not put the product in the dishwasher, as this will
destroy it.
Any other servicing should be performed by an
authorized service representative.
Disconnect the power cord (8) from the power outlet before cleaning.
Let the product cool off completely.
Wipe off the outside of the product with a damp cloth.
Press the release button (2) to open the lid (1) (see Fig. B).
Remove the anti-scale filter (10) that is attached in front of the spout (7). To do
so, hold onto the tab of the anti-scale filter and lift the filter up and out of its
holder (see Fig. D).
Rinse the anti-scale filter under running water or clean it with a damp cloth.

Fit the anti-scale filter back into its holder after cleaning. It must noticeably lock
into place.
Clean the base (9) with a dry cloth.
8.1. Descaling
Regularly remove the limescale accumulated inside the water tank (5).
Fill the water tank with clean water and a small amount of vinegar or special
descaling agents.
Boil this solution and leave it in the water tank to stand for a couple of hours.
Empty the water tank, fill it with clean water and bring the clean water to a boil.
Repeat this step twice.
9. Storage
All parts must be completely dry before being stored.
Wrap the power cord (8) around the cord wrap on the underside of the
base (9) before storing.
Always store the product in a clean and dry area.
Protect the product from direct sunlight.
Store the product so that it is not accessible to children.
10. Troubleshooting
Some problems may be caused by minor faults that you can fix yourself. To do so,
follow the instructions in the following table. If it is still not possible to resolve the
problem, contact customer service. Do not repair the product yourself.

dispose of it in accordance with the regulations in force in your city or state.

14.1. What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
