Read these instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference,
your childs safety may be affected if you do not follow these instructions.
The Zia/Zia 4 is suitable from birth to approximately 3 years, 15Kg.
The Zia/Zia 4 features an adjustable reclining backrest, lockable front
swivel wheel(s), hood, raincover and shopping basket.

PREPARATION FOR USE

1 Remove all packaging materials
from the chassis. Ensure the
folding latch on the side of the
chassis is unfastened, there is
only one. Lay the chassis on the
floor with the seat facing upwards
and lift the handlebars towards
you to unfold the stroller.
2 As the stroller opens, keep
lifting the handlebars until you
hear a click and the locks on both
sides are fully engaged.
3 Pull the bar connecting the
handles towards you to lock
into place.

4 Once the bar has locked
press down on both handles
to ensure both sides of the frame
have locked into place.

ENSURE BOTH SIDES OF THE FRAME ARE

1 Insert the front wheel spindle
into the hole in the front moulding.
Push firmly until it clicks into
place. Check the wheel is
secure by pulling firmly away
from the chassis.
2 To remove the wheel(s), simply
pull the silver release catch on
the front of the wheel housing/
press the black release catch at

on the clasp to release the straps.
Your child should always be harnessed
in and should never be left unattended
even for short periods.

in combination with the waist belt.

Operating the brake
1. Push down firmly on the red
brake pedal to engage the
brake.Check the brake is on
by pushing the stroller.
2. To release the brake, simply
press the grey pedal with your
foot.

To unlock the wheel, simply flip the lock

grasp the plastic ring (B) fixed to the
end of the adjuster webbing and
pull up.
2 To move the backrest back down
again, press down on button (C)
and pull the seat down.

FITTING/REMOVING THE BUMPER BAR
Tug firmly upwards to ensure it is attached securely.
1. To attach the bumper bar, slide the ends
of the bumper bar over the mouldings on the
side of your stroller.
Keep sliding down until the latch clicks
into place on both sides. See diagram.
3. The bumper bar can also be unclipped
further up the bar, see diagram, to allow
easier access to your child when placing
in and out of the stroller.
To remove, press in the side buttons
and pull the bumper bar out.
2. To remove the bumper bar
ease the latch away from the
frame and slide the bumper bar up.

1 Clip each end of the hood onto
the bars on either side of the
stroller frame, ensuring that
the slot in the hood clip
locates onto the pin on the
underside of the frame tube.
2 There are poppers and velcro on
the back edge of the hood. Attach
the poppers to the poppers found
at the base of each handlebar
and fasten the velcro to the velcro
along the top of the backrest.
The hood can be pulled forward
during use to help protect your child
from wind or bright sunlight.

1 Fit the raincover by placing it over
the stroller with the hood
fully extended. Secure the
raincover in place using the
velcro patches.
2 There is a small window in the
front of the raincover that can be
opened by unfastening the velcro
around the edge, then rolled up
and kept open with the fastener.

IMPORTANT: Before fitting your car seat into your car, please read the
car seat instructions carefully.
1 The car seat has tabs located
below the handle which fit into
the adaptors. Stand in front of the
stroller with the head of the car
seat towards you and lower the tabs
into the attachment slots.
Push the car seat until it clicks
into place. Once in place tug firmly
upwards on the car seat to check
that it is secured.
2 To lower the car seat handle, press
the buttons on either side and pull
the handle back over the head of
the car seat until it clicks into place.
To move the handle back into the
upright position, press the buttons
again and lift the handle upwards.
3 To remove the car seat, pull the
handle at the back of the seat
upwards to dis-engage the seat,

FITTING/REMOVING THE CAR SEAT ADAPTORS
1. Remove the bumper bar and slide
each adaptor over the side mouldings.
The adaptors and side mouldings
will be marked with an L and R to
help match them up correctly.
Tug firmly upwards to ensure it is attached securely.
Keep sliding down until the latch clicks
into place on both sides. See diagram.
2. To remove the adaptors,
ease the latch away from the
frame and slide the adapter up.
3. Before fitting the car seat onto the
frame, open up the velco side panels
on the stroller fabric. This will
help the car seat fit more easily and

1 Engage the brake, then remove
the raincover and fold back
the hood. Make sure that the
backrest is in the reclined
position and that the shopping
basket is empty. Collapse the bar
connecting the handles as shown
in the diagram.

Take hold of the handlebars,
press the small grey button on
the inside edge of the right handle
and then pull the release levers
on the outer edges upwards.
3 With the folding mechanism
released, you can push
the handlebar downwards
until the stroller is
completely folded.
4 Once folded, engage the
folding latch before carrying
the stroller.

n This stroller requires regular maintenance by you.
n Regularly inspect the locking devices, brakes, harness assembly, catches, joints
and fixings to ensure they are secure and in full working order.
n Brakes, wheels and tyres are subject to wear and tear and should be replaced
when necessary.
n Should parts of your stroller become stiff or difficult to operate, ensure that dirt
is not the cause. Then apply a light application of a silicon-based lubricant,
ensuring that it reaches between the component parts, but do not over apply as
this may encourage the build up of dirt. Regular lubrication of moving parts will

mild detergent.
n The seat may be cleaned by sponging lightly using warm water and a
mild detergent.
n Allow to dry thoroughly before storing.
n Never clean with abrasive, ammonia-based, bleach-based or spirit-type cleaners.
n After exposure to damp conditions, leave fully opened and in a warm
environment to dry naturally. Dry off with a soft cloth. Storing a damp
stroller will encourage mildew to form.
n Store stroller in a dry place.
n Your stroller should be serviced and reconditioned before using it for a
second baby, or within 18 months, whichever is the sooner.

may cause damage to your stroller.

IT MAY BE DANGEROUS TO LEAVE YOUR CHILD
UNATTENDED. IT IS DANGEROUS TO PUT THIS STROLLER
ON AN ELEVATED SURFACE.
n Do not allow your child to climb unassisted into the stroller.
n Apply the brake before putting your child into the stroller.
n WARNING! Use a harness as soon as your child can sit unaided.
n WARNING! Ensure your child wears a correctly fitted and adjusted harness at
all times. For extra safety, D-rings are provided for the attachment of a separate
safety harness approved to BSEN 13210:2004.
n Ensure children are kept away from moving parts before making adjustments.
Overloading, incorrect folding and the use of non-compatible accessories may
damage or break your stroller.
n Never leave the raincover on indoors, in a hot atmosphere or near a heat source
as your child may overheat.
n Do not use replacement parts or accessories, eg. child seats, bag hooks,
raincovers etc. other than those approved by Petite Star as they may make
the stroller unsafe.
n Do not overload this stroller with additional children, goods or accessories.
n WARNING! Any load attached to the handle affects the stability of the pushchair.
A basket is provided for the carriage of 3Kg(6.6lbs) of items evenly distributed.
n Always apply the brakes when the stroller is stationary.
n Be careful when going up or down kerbs. Remove your child and fold the
stroller when going up or down stairs or escalators.
n Do not use your stroller in a manner for which it is not designed.
n Don’t let children play with or hang on the stroller.
n Hold on to your stroller when close to moving road vehicles or trains.
Even with the brake on, the draught from the vehicle may move the stroller.
n If your stroller is used by someone unfamiliar with it e.g. grandparents
always show them how it works first.
n Never leave your child unattended, even for the shortest time.
n WARNING! Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt.
n WARNING! Ensure all of the locking devices are engaged before use.
n This vehicle is designed for one child only.
n WARNING! This product is not suitable for running or skating.
As a parent or carer of children, we know that safety is of uppermost concern.
Whilst this product has been developed to all of the relevant safety standards,
we need your help to maintain that level of safety and minimise the risk that a
baby using this product will be harmed.

BRAKE SYSTEM ADJUST INSTRUCTION
Caution: Always check and adjust the brake cable to make
sure the brakes are working correctly.
Follow the below instructions to help adjust the brake cable.
Lock Nut Adjuster
1. Screw the adjuster to the right
to tighten the brake pedals.
2. Screw the adjuster to the left
to loosen them.
3. After moving the adjuster to the
correct position, screw the lock nut
to the adjuster to prevent any movement.
n
Hold on to your stroller at all times. Even with the brake fully engaged
the wind may cause your stroller to move or tip over.
Your baby should never be left alone
in the stroller and you should keep hold of your stroller at all times. All
tempting objects should be kept out of your child`s reach.
