7. POWERING UP THE
SYSTEM
During power up of the system, refer to Figure 3 and Figure 4 for the IBS-8431
back and front panel power switch and button. Refer to the Installation Instructions
for installation of the UPS prior to connecting the IBS-8431.
1. Connect the Monitor and IBS-8431 power cables as follows:
a. Connect one end of the monitor power cable to the AC Line In connector
on the back of the (optional) monitor.
b. Connect the other end of the monitor power cable to an AC power source.
c. Connect one end of the IBS-8431 power cable to the AC Line In
connector on the back of the IBS-8431.
d. Connect the other end of the IBS-8431 power cable to a dedicated AC power
source.
2. Toggle the power supply On/Off power switch on the back of the IBS-8431 to the
ON position.
3. Push the POWER button on the front of the (optional) monitor to power
the monitor on.
4. Push the POWER button on the front of the IBS-8431 to start the power-up and
PC boot process.
5. Refer to the WAVES Administrator Manual for configuration instructions and
operational procedures.
8. OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of the Installer/Owner of the product to ensure the following:
• The equipment is correctly and safely installed
• When installed, the equipment fully complies with federal, state, and local codes
• Any person operating the equipment has been properly trained
9. FCC INFORMATION
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital
device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a
commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential
area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct
the interference at his/her own expense.
