a) USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Adaptor
The device can be used as a conventional docking station, connecting up to 2x SATA (HDD or SSD) at maximum USB 3.0
5 Gbps) data transfer speeds, backwards compatible with USB 2.0.
You must rst format the hard drive before storing data on it. Refer to your software operating instructions for information
about how to do this.
The Clone button (6) cannot be used when the docking station is connected to the computer via USB.
Connect one end of the power adapter to the power adapter input (7) and
the other end to a mains power supply.
The power PWR LED indicator (2) will light up.
Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB type-B port (4) on the device
and the other end to an available USB 3.0 port on your computer.
Attach one or two hard drives to an available SATA connector (1) / (5).
S (source) and/or T (target) LED indicators (2) will light up to indicate that
hard drives are connected to the respective SATA connector.
The target drive will appear as a drive letter on your computer.
When connected via USB, the cloner adapter will automatically go into sleep mode if the connection is left idle for more than
30 minutes. The power PWR LED indicator (2) will ash every 3 seconds.
Accessing the hard drive will automatically cancel sleep mode and power the drive back up. The power PWR LED indicator
(2) will remain on.
Before removing the drive, make sure to properly unmount (eject) the drive from your computer (Refer to your operating
system instructions if necessary).
b) Hard Drive Offline Cloning
Do not connect anything to the USB port (4). Make sure your main drive with important data is connected to the
Source drive SATA connector (1) and the backup drive to the Target drive SATA connector (5). The capacity of
the target drive must be equal or greater than source drive.
When a drive is connected as the source, the S LED indicator (2) will light up. The T LED indicator (2) will light up when a
drive is connected as the target.
Percentage cloned is shown via ashing LED progress indicators (3). When cloning is complete, all LEDs will remain on.
If the LED progress indicators (3) stop ashing during ofine cloning it may be due to bad sectors on the source or target
hard drives. Refer to your computer operating instructions on how to check for and repair bad sectors. You may need to
replace the affected hard drive to continue the ofine cloning process.
Connect one end of the power adapter to the power adapter
input (7) and the other end to a mains power supply.
Connect the source drive to Source drive SATA connector (1)
and the target drive to the Target drive SATA connector (5).
Check that both connections are secure.
Press and hold the Clone button (6) for 3 seconds.
When the “100%” LED progress indicator (3) lights up, press
the Clone button (6) to start cloning.
Copying will then begin and the 25% LED will ash.
Troubleshooting
If you are not able to clone a drive, check that the capacity of the target drive is larger or equivalent to that of the source
drive. To be certain that two disks have the same actual capacity, they should be produced by the same producer in the same
batch with the same model number and contain no bad sectors.
Note that MBR (Master Boot Record) partitioning supports a max. 2TB disk size.
Care and Cleaning
Disconnect the product from the power supply and let it cool down before each cleaning.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause damage to the
housing and malfunctioning.
Clean the product with a dry, bre-free cloth.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste. At the end of
its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines. You thus fulll your
