Thank you for ordering a MirrorChic frame, we are confident that you will be very pleased with

your new mirror frame! Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper assembly and

installation of your frame.

Assembly & Installation Instructions

Attention: Please read ALL of the Installation Instructions before starting.

Required for Installation

You will need the following items to assemble and install your new frame:

• Hammer

• Level (optional, but recommended)

• Lightly damp cloth or rag for cleaning up excess glue

• Rubbing alcohol

• Another person to help with install (easier with 4 hands!)

Note: Your new mirror frame may have 2 different size Dovetail Keys, take note of the size.

Frame Assembly



Lay the frame sections face down on

the floor (or a flat work surface). You should

put something soft (a scrap towel or blanket,

etc.) under the frame sections to prevent

accidental scratches of the frame.

CAUTION: Do not remove any of the

adhesive backing from the back of the frame

sections yet.



Align each corner together with each

section in the proper position.



One section at a time, apply glue to

one side of each mitered joint and spread

evenly.



With the flat side up, pressing each joint

together, insert the Dovetail Keys into the holes to

secure each miter joint, one at a time, until all four

corners have been joined. Push the keys in with

your thumb (flat edge up), then tap them lightly with

a hammer if needed until they are flush. (If using a

hammer, use a folded soft towel or your hand

underneath the frame to protect the frame.)

After completing all 4 corners, wipe off any excess

glue that might be on the frame.

Dovetail Keys



Turn the frame over. Check all the joints to

ensure the miters are level, meet evenly and that

all corners are flush. Wipe off any excess glue.

NOTE:

Do not handle the frame from the

corners. It is best to grasp the frame with two

hands near the center of the top, or bottom section

of frame, to pick it up.



Allow the glue to dry for at least one hour.



While the frame is drying, clean your mirror

edges thoroughly using rubbing alcohol so that

your new frame will adhere properly to the mirror.

Frame Installation

CAUTION:

Do not use any tape, even painters tape, on the frame at any time!

Once your mirror is clean and the glue has

dried, it is time to install your new mirror

frame!

CAUTION:

Do not remove the adhesive

backing from the back of the frame yet.



With the help of a friend, position the frame

against the mirror. The frame should cover the

mirror on all sides. If the frame extends past any

side of the mirror, ensure overlaps are even on all

sides. When you are satisfied with the frame

position (use a level if desired), firmly hold the

frame in place. Have your helper remove the tape

from the Positioning Blocks and press them tightly

onto the mirror in each upper corner (see image).

NOTE: The thick adhesive tape on the back

should allow the frame to lay flat against the

mirror, over most existing mirror clips. Some larger

mirror clips may prevent the frame from lying flat.

clips, please contact MirrorChic Customer Service

no cost.

Leaving the Positioning Blocks in place,

take the frame down, and peel off the backing from

the adhesive strips on the back of each frame

section.

CAUTION: Do not touch the adhesive strips

after removing the backing, they are VERY sticky!



With your helper, carefully place the frame

back on the Positioning Blocks, taking care not to

let the frame touch the mirror just yet.

When the frame looks level, firmly press the frame

to the mirror on all sides, starting from the top and

working your way down.



Remove the Positioning Blocks, step back

and admire your beautiful new MirrorChic frame!!
