ลงในช่องแล้วดันSIM/USIMไปจนสุด ตามภาพที่แสดงด้านล่าง

3. ใส่Micro SDการ์ด ในช่องเสียบการ์ด Micro SD

• อุปกรณ์นี้ใช้เฉพาะ Micro SDการ์ดเท่านั้น

4. วางฝาครอบด้านหน้ากับตัวโมเด็ม เลื่อนฝาหน้าตามลูกศรเพื่อล็อค

5. เชื่อมต่อโมเด็มกับแล็ปท็อปหรือคอมพิวเตอร์ของคุณเสียบขั้วต่อ USB เข้าพอร์ตUSBของคอมพิวเตอร์ของคุณ และตรวจสอบว่าขั้วต่อเสียบสนิทแล้ว

ก�รติดตั้งโปรแกรมก�รจัดก�ร

1. เชื่อมต่ออุปกรณ์กับคอมพิวเตอร์

2. ระบบปฏิบัติการจะทำาการตรวจสอบอุปกรณ์ที่เชื่อมต่อกับคอมพิวเตอร์และแสดงหน้าต่างการติดตั้งโปรแกรมตามลำาดับ

หม�ยเหตุ

ในกรณีที่ระบบไม่แสดงหน้าต่างการติดตั้งให้ไปที่ไดร์ฟของอุปกรณ์ใน My computer เข้าไปที่ไดร์ฟใหม่ที่เพิ่มมา หาไอคอนชื่อ Autorun.exe แล้วดับเบิลคลิกเพื่อทำา

3. ทำาตามขั้นตอนการติดตั้ง

4. หลังจากที่ติดตั้งโปรแกรมการจัดการแล้ว จะปรากฏไอคอมโปรแกรมบนเดสก์ทอป

ก�รเริ่มต้นใช้ง�นโปรแกรมก�รจัดก�ร

หลังจากทำาการติดตั้งโปรแกรมเสร็จ โปรแกรมจะเริ่มเปิดใช้งานโดยอัตโนมัติ และทุกครั้งที่มีการต่ออุปกรณ์เข้ากับคอมพิวเตอร์ หน้าโปรแกรมจะเริ่มเปิดโดยอัตโนมัติ หรือ

สามารถดับเบิลคลิกไอคอนบนหน้าเดสก์ทอปเพื่อเริ่มต้นใช้งานโปรแกรมได้เช่นเดียวกัน

ก�รถอดอุปกรณ์

1. ดับเบิลคลิกที่ไอคอน บริเวณมุมขวาล่างของหน้าจอ จากนั้นจะปรากฏหน้าต่างแสดงรายการอุปกรณ์ที่เชื่อมต่ออยู่

2. เลือกอุปกรณ์ที่ต้องการถอดออกแล้วคลิก “Stop”

3. เมื่อปรากฏข้อความ “It is safe to remove the device” จึงถอดอุปกรณ์ออกจากตัวเครื่องได้

ก�รถอนก�รติดตั้งโปรแกรมก�รจัดก�ร

1. เลือก Start> Control Panel> Add or Remove Programs

2. ค้นหาโปรแกรมการจัดการ และคลิกRemove เพื่อทำาการถอนการติดตั้งโปรแกรม

หมายหตุ : ควรปิดโปรแกรมทุกครั้งก่อนทำาการถอนการติดตั้ง

ผู้ใช้ง�น

• อุปกรณ์อิเล็คทรอนิคบางชนิดจะไวต่อกระแสรบกวนจากคลื่นแม่เหล็กไฟฟ้าที่ปล่อยออกมาจากอุปกรณ์หากไม่ได้มีการปกคลุมอย่างเพียงพอ ยกตัวอย่างเช่น

ระบบอิเล็คทรอนิคจากยานพาหนะ สำาหรับบางกรณี กรุณาสอบถามผู้ผลิตของท่านก่อนการใช้งาน

• การใช้งานของอุปกรณ์ดังกล่าวอาจมีผลกระทบต่ออุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์บางประเภท เช่น เครื่องช่วยฟัง เครื่องกระตุ้นหัวใจ ดังนั้นจึงควรวางอุปกรณ์ห่าง

• หลีกเลี่ยงการใช้อุปกรณ์ในบางสถานที่ เช่น โกดังน้ำามัน หรือ โรงงานสารเคมีที่ก๊าซระเบิด หรือวัตถุไวไฟ และควรปิดอุปกรณ์หากไม่ได้มีการใช้งาน

• อุปกรณ์ที่มีการส่งสัญญาณอิเล็คทรอนิคบางประเภทไม่อนุญาตให้ใช้งานบนเครื่องบิน ปั๊มน้ำามัน และในโรงพยาบาลกรุณาสังเกตป้ายสัญลักษณ์ และปิดอุปกรณ์

ก�รใช้ง�นอุปกรณ์

• กรุณาใช้อุปกรณ์เสริมที่ให้มากับชุดอุปกรณ์หรืออุปกรณ์ที่ได้รับการรับรองเท่านั้น เนื่องจากการใช้อุปกรณ์ที่ไม่ได้มาตรฐานอาจมีผลต่อประสิทธิภาพในการใช้

งานและยังเป็นการละเมิดต่อกฎระเบียบอุปกรณ์โทรคมนาคมอีกด้วย

• หลีกเลี่ยงการใช้อุปกรณ์บริเวณสิ่งก่อสร้างที่เป็นโลหะหรือบริเวณที่มีกระแสคลื่นแม่เหล็กไฟฟ้า มิฉะนั้นอาจส่งผลรบกวนต่อการรับสัญญาณของอุปกรณ์

• กรุณเก็บรักษาอุปกรณ์ในบริเวณแห้ง

• หลีกเลี่ยงการใช้อุปกรณ์หากเกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงอุณหภูมิอย่างฉับพลัน เนื่องจากอาจก่อให้เกิดอันตราย

• หลีกเลี่ยงการใช้อุปกรณ์หากมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอุณหภูมิอย่างเฉียบพลัน ซึ่งอาจจะก่อให้เกิดละอองหยดน้ำาทั้งภายนอกและภายในอุปกรณ์ของคุณ โดยจะต้อง

ทำาอุปกรณ์ให้แห้งสนิทถึงจะสามารถใช้งานอุปกรณ์ได้อีกครั้ง

• กรุณาดูแลรักษาอุปกรณ์ด้วยความระมัดระวัง ไม่ให้ตกหล่น หักงอ ซึ่งจะก่อให้เกิดความเสียหายต่อตัวอุปกรณ์ได้.

iii. ผู้ใช้มีการใช้งานผิดวัตถุประสงค์ ติดตั้งอุปกรณ์ไม่ถูกต้อง หรือมีการแก้ไขหรือดูแลการใช้งานอย่างไม่ถูกต้อง

iv. การดัดแปลงหรือซ่อมแซมที่ไม่ได้รับการรับรองจากผู้ผลิต

v. ไฟกระชาก ไฟไหม้ น้ำาท่วม หรือเหตุการณ์ใดๆก็ตามที่อยู่นอกเหนือการควบคุมของผู้ผลิต

vi. การใช้งานร่วมกับอุปกรณ์อื่นซึ่งก่อให้เกิดปัญหาในการใช้งานต่ออุปกรณ์

vii. สาเหตุอื่นๆที่อยู่นอกเหนือการใช้งานปกติ

ในกรณีที่สินค้ามีปัญหาจากการใช้งานจากเงื่อนไขทีระบุข้างต้น ผู้ใช้ไม่สามารถที่จะใช้เงื่อนไขการรับประกันสินค้าได้

Introduction

The Power Surf USB modem is a multi-mode USB modem, working in HSUPA/HSDPA/WCDMA/EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks. With USB interface connect-

ing to a laptop or a desktop PC, it integrates the functionality of a modem and a mobile phone (SMS), and combines mobile communication with Internet

perfectly. It supports data and SMS services through the mobile phone network, enabling you to communicate anytime and anywhere.

Getting to know your device

The following figure shows the appearance of the P0wer Surf. It is only for your reference. The actual product may be different.

Hardware Installation

1. Press and push the front cover and remove it.

Notes: Do not open the front cover rudely so as to avoid the damage of

the front cover.

2. Insert the SIM/USIM card into the SIM/USIM card slot.

Insert the SIM/USIM card with the metal contact area facing downwards

into the slot, and then push SIM/USIM card as far as possible, shown as

the following picture.

3. Insert the microSD card into the microSD card slot.

Notes: This modem only supports microSD card.

Insert your microSD card into the microSD card slot, shown as the fol-

lowing picture.

4. Put the front cover flatly upon the body of modem and push the

front cover to lock the cover in its place.

5. Connect the Modem to your laptop or desktop PC.

• Plug the USB connector into your computer’s USB port and make sure that it is tightly inserted.

• The OS automatically detects and recognizes new hardware and starts the installation wizard.

Installing the USB stick Management Program

1. Connect the USB Stick with the PC.

2. The OS automatically detects and recognizes the new hardware and starts the installation wizard.

Note: If the auto-run program does not respond, find the AutoRun.exe file in the driver path. Then double-click AutoRun.exe to run the program.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions of the installation wizard.

4. After the program installed, a shortcut icon for the management program appears on the desktop.

Starting the Management Program

After being installed, the management program starts automatically. Then every time the

USB Stick is connected to the PC. the management program starts automatically.

You can also double dick the shortcut icon on the desktop to start the management program.

Removing the USB stick

1. Double click > in the notification area. Then the Unplug or Eject Hardware dialog box appears.

2. Select the corresponding hardware and then click Stop.

3. When the message 'It is safe to remove the device appears remove the USB Stick.

Uninstalling the Management Program

1. Choose Start:> Control Panel : Add or Remove Programs.

2. Find the management program and dick Remove to uninstall the management program.

Note: Exit the management program before uninstalling it.

Warning and Notice

To the Owner

• Some electronic devices are susceptible to electromagnetic interference sent by modem if inadequately shielded, such as the electronic system of

vehicles. Please consult the manufacturer of the device before using the modem if necessary.

• Operating the modem may interfere with medical devices like hearing aids and pacemakers. Please always keep them more than 20 centimeters

away from such medical devices when they are turned on. Turn the modem off if necessary. Consult a physician or the manufacturer of the medi-

cal device before using the modem.

• Be aware of the usage limitation when using a modem at places such as oil warehouses or chemical factories, where there are explosive gases or

explosive products being processed. Turn off your modem if required.

• The use of electronic transmitting devices is forbidden in aircrafts, at petrol stations and in hospitals. Please observe and obey all warning signs

and switch off your modem in these conditions.

• Do not touch the inner antenna area if not necessary. Otherwise it will affect your modem’s performance.

• Store the modem out of the reach of little children. The modem may cause injury if used as a toy.

• Do not touch the metallic parts of the modem so as to avoid a burn, when the modem is working.

Use Your USB Modem

• Please use original accessories or accessories that are authorized. Using any unauthorized accessories may affect your modem’s performance,

and violate related national regulations about telecom terminals.

• Avoid using the modem near or inside metallic structures or establishments that can emit electromagnetic waves. Otherwise it may influence signal

reception.

• The modem is not waterproof. Please keep it dry and store in a shady and cool place.

• Do not use the modem immediately after a sudden temperature change. In such case, it will produce dew inside and outside the modem, so don’t

use it until it becomes dry.

• Handle the modem carefully. Do not drop, bend or strike it. Otherwise the modem will be damaged.

• No dismantling by non-professionals and only qualified technicians can undertake repair work.

• Operating temperature range of -10 °C ~ +55 °C and humidity range of 5% ~ 95% are recommended.

Limited Warranty

• This warranty does not apply to defects or errors in the Product caused by:

i. Reasonable abrasion.

ii. End User’s failure to follow ZTE’s installation, operation or maintenance instructions or procedures.

iii. End User’s mishandling, misuse, negligence, or improper installation, disassembly, storage, servicing or operation of the Product.

iv. Modifications or repairs not made by ZTE or a ZTE-certified individual.

v. Power failures, surges, fire, flood, accidents, actions of third parties or other events outside ZTE’s reasonable control.

vi. Usage of third-party products, or usage in conjunction with third-party products provided that such defects are due to the combined usage.

vii. Any other cause beyond the range of normal usage intended for the Product.

End User shall have no right to reject or return the Product, or receive a refund for the Product from ZTE under the above-mentioned situations.

• This warranty is End User’s sole remedy and ZTE’s sole liability for defective or nonconforming items, and is in lieu of all other warranties,

expressed, implied or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, unless

otherwise required under the mandatory provisions of the law.

Limitation of Liability

ZTE shall not be liable for any loss of profits or indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from or arising out of or in connection with

using of this product, whether or not ZTE had been advised, knew or should have known of the possibility of such damages, including, but not limited to

lost profits, interruption of business, cost of capital, cost of substitute facilities or product, or any downtime cost.
