The Series WM-4/9 Wireless Receivers are designed to work
with Series WHP and Series WTP wireless humidity and
temperature sensors. Receivers can be ordered to accept the
418 MHz directly from the sensors or 900 MHz from a repeater.
Repeaters expand the distance between the sensors and the
output modules from 100 feet up to more than 1000 feet.
Wireless products are intended for use in U.S. territories,
Canada and Mexico only.
MOUNTING & TERMINATION
Series WM-4/9 receivers can either be surface mounted onto a
wall or ceiling beam or DIN rail mounted inside of a panel. Mount
the receiver as shown in Figure 1. Up to 127 output modules can
be connected to each receiver. They should be snapped into the
side of the receiver as shown in Figure 2.

Possible Problem
Temperature or humidity is reading
its low limit
Temperature or humidity reading is
coming out of wrong output module
Temperature or humidity is reading
incorrectly
Possible Solutions
Check wire from output module to the controller for proper connections and polarities.
Check to see if the controller’s software is configured properly.
Check transmitter to see if is LED flashes about every 10 seconds. If not replace the batteries.
Check power to the receiver and output module.
Check output module LED to see if flashing rapidly.
o
Check the associated transmitter as described above.
o
Retrain the module.
Retrain modules
Check wire from output modules to controller for proper connections and polarites.
Check to see if the controller’s software is configured properly.
Check to see if the correct output module is connected to the right controller.

MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND REPAIR
After final installation of the unit, no routine maintenance is
required. A periodic check of the system calibration is
recommended. The Series WM-4/9 is not field serviceable and
should be returned if repair is needed (field repair should not be
attempted and may void warranty). Be sure to include a brief
description of the problem plus any relevant application notes.
Contact customer service to receive a return good authorization
number before shipping.
Figure 3
If desired, the output modules can be remotely mounted from the
receiver using a shielded, twisted pair cable as shown in Figure
3. Output modules can be mounted up to 4000 feet (1220 m)
from the furthest output module to the receiver. If the distance
between the receiver and the output module is greater than 100
feet (30 m), provide a separate power supply for the output
modules.
