TYPE W-81 DUAL CIRCUIT WALL CONTROL

For convenient wall control of ceiling fan and light combinations without

annoying electrical motor noise.

THIS CONTROL REQUIRES TWO SEPARATE WIRES FROM THE WALL BOX TO

THE CEILING OUTLET BOX. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT INSTALLATION BE DONE

BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.

WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

Using fan pullchain or variable control knob, adjust fan speed to HI and lights to ON

position.

1. Turn off electrical power at fuse box or circuit breaker panel before wiring.

2. Remove existing wall plate and standard two-wire wall switch.

3. Connect in this order:

 • GREENGROUNDconductorfromthewallboxtotheGREENwirefromthewall

control.

 •BLACKwirefromfaninthewallboxtoYELLOWwireonthewallcontrol.

 • REDwirefromfaninthewallboxtoREDwireonthewallcontrol.(NOTE:BlueD1

optional fan wire to RED power wire in ceiling outlet box.)

• BLACKwirefromthesourceofpower(HOTWIRE)wireinthewallboxtoBLACK

  wireonwallcontrol.(NOTE:Ifthecolorsofyourwiringdifferfromthatdescribed,

consult an electrician.)

4. Mount W-81 control in wall box, install wall plate and knobs. Make certain both fan and

light controls are in the off position.

5. Restore power to circuit. Operate control in all positions. Be certain fan turns at all

speeds.

ONE YEAR WARRANTY

This product is warranted to the original purchaser by Casablanca Fan Company against

defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from date of purchase. During the

warranty period, we will repair or, at our option, replace a defective product at no charge.

uct caused by mishandling, improper installation or modiﬁcation is not covered by this warranty.

This warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. Some states do not

allow limitations of time on an implied warranty, therefore, the above limitations may not apply in

every case. This warranty states speciﬁc legal rights which may vary from state to state.
