ASSEMBLING THE SCOOTER
1. Unpack the scooter carefully so that you do not misplace any of the parts.
2. Place the scooter on a flat level surface and use the kick stand to hold it upright.
3. Slide the handlebar into the handle bar tube. Rotate the handle bar until the locking button snaps into the
holes in the tube and is securely set. Secure the quick release.
4. Extend the handlebar tube to full upright position and apply firm pressure to slide it into the front fork. Tighten the handle
bar tube collar clamp using the enclosed wrench.
5. Extend the seat tube to the full upright position and apply firm pressure to slide it into extended tube from
the rear plastic cover; securely locking the seat tube quick release.
6. Secure the bag bracket into the bag clamp. Place the bag on the bag bracket. To release the bag bracket
from clamp, pull the latch under the clamp; raise the bracket upward (shown here way up in the break the
bracket mode. The tube bag clamp needs to be mounted as slow as possible so that the bag sits on the rear

7. The scooter is now fully assembled but the bracket for the rear bag is way too high and will easily break.
Please lower the bracket until the bag is sitting on the rear deck. Thanks
NOTE: Handle bar and seat tube height adjustment. Handle bar and seat tube height can be easily adjusted by
opening the quick release on the handle bar tube seat tube to preferred height, and firmly closing quick release.
(IMPORTANT: Before riding be sure to check that all pivot points, locking buttons, quick releases, and latches are
secured properly.)
CHARGING THE BATTERIES
Before riding the Electric Scooter for the first time you must charge the batteries for 4-6 hours using the supplied UL listed
smart charger. Depending on the type of charger, a green light will go from blinking to steady or if two lights will go from
two red lights to a green and red light indicating full charge or trickle charge
To charge the batteries, plug the charger into the charger socket located on the right side of the body of the scooter.
Then plug the charger into a wall outlet.
The AC Charger output is regulated to charge the batteries and can vary up to 44 volts depending on the
amperage required for a charging cycle. The charger needs to set to charge a 36 volt DC battery pack. Use of
any other charger, other than the one provided with the scooter can be dangerous and should not be done
because this will void any warrantees and may cause a fire hazard.
The Electric Scooter is powered by three 12Volt, 7 Amp hour batteries as a minimum wired in series to
provide 36 volts of power. All batteries charge simultaneously. You should charge your scooter after each
ride. You must charge your Scooter if it has not been used for 30 days or more. Recharging time is between
4-6 hours for a complete charging cycle. The smart charger will cycle on and off as needed to maintain a full
charge.
The Power Key Switch Lock must be in the Off Position when the
Scooter is being Charged.

RIDING THE QUAZAR
Once you have completed the initial charge you are ready to ride. Remember, this is not a toy. Your Electric scooter can
reach speeds up to 15mph depending on the terrain and the weight of the rider. You must wear a helmet and
protective pads. You must also be aware of all local laws and ordinances that governor restrict the use of powered
scooters. The laws and ordinances vary greatly from municipality to municipality. It is your responsibility to
know and abide by your local restrictions.
To ride, turn the power switch lock to the "on" position. The Power switch is located on the left side of the body of
the scooter. The battery gauge, located next to the thumb throttle will illuminate when the power is on:
Hold onto the handlebars with both hands. Your fingers will control the brakes and your right thumb will control the throttle.
Assume a well-balanced position on the scooter and push off with your foot. As you depress the throttle lever with your
thumb your speed will increase. Release the thumb throttle and apply the brakes to stop your scooter. You will control the
speed of the scooter by using both the throttle and the brakes. When the brake handle is squeezed it cuts power to the
throttle.
NOTE: When the scooter is parked, press the power switch button ‘in to the "off'” position; this will avoid anyone from
accidentally pushing the throttle causing the scooter to speed forward. Failure to do this could lead to an accident.
I
The Power switch button is the red button on the controller. Pushing the button in will hold the button in and lock out the
motor controller. Push the button again and the button will stay out allowing the thumb throttle to work.
Always ride on dry paved surfaces. Wet and uneven surfaces are a hazard. Sand, loose gravel and dirt are dangerous.
Charge the battery after each ride. Depending on the load (weight of the rider), terrain and the speed at which
you travel, a fully charged battery will last for about an hour.
MAINTENANCE
Battery:
The scooter is powered by a minimum of three 12 volts, 7 Amp hour, rechargeable, sealed lead acid batteries connected
in series and delivering 36 volts of power. Some models have higher rated and longer lasting batteries that are compatible
with the charging system. The charging system is only designed for sealed lead acid batteries. No other type of battery
can be used with this charging system. Do not use any other type of battery unless you completely convert to the charging
system required by the batteries that you are using. The charging system is critical to the safety of the system. Systems
that are not compatible can cause fire, explosion or worse. Do not do it.
Other than recharging, these batteries need no maintenance and they are sealed. Make sure that the battery connections
are tight and do not have any corrosion. Make sure not to use your scooter in a wet environment such as rain or heavy fog
that might promote a short to occur. Do not break the seal on the battery since there is acid in the battery that can cause
injury or damage if touched or spilled. To prolong battery life, do not store the scooter in areas where the temperature will
regularly fall below 40F or rise over 100F.

If you must replace the batteries, they are located under the deck. To get to them, remove the deck by loosening the 2
screws on the front of the deck. To remove the batteries disconnect the wires from the battery terminals. Replace the
batteries with new ones and reconnect the wires. Follow the instructions of your new batteries as to whether or not they
have to be charged before use. Replacement batteries are available, call 805-504-5808 to order any supplies for your
scooter.
We cannot be held liable for anything you do to your scooter that we did not provide. If you change anything, you must
make sure that it is compatible with your scooter. You are responsible for routine maintenance. You are responsible to
make sure that your scooter is road worthy every time that you use it.
Maintenance – your scooter should be checked every time that is used. At a minimum;
1. Inspect the entire scooter before each use; check the brakes, throttle and wheels.
2. If you hear any unusual noises, stop and check everything.
3. Clean the scooter regularly.
4. Lubricate the front and rear axle, and all turning parts. [see chart 1]

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
Problem
The power indicator by the thumb throttle does not illuminate when the scooter is on.
Possible conditions 1. Battery is discharged. 2. Fuse is blown
3. Loose connection inside the scooter.
Possible Solutions 1. Recharge your scooter 2. Check and replace the fuse (30
amp slow blow) 3. Open the battery compartment. Visually inspect all wire
connections making sure there are no loose wires. Replace thumb throttle. If the
lights do not come on but everything else works then it is your choice if you want
to change the throttle. The lights are cute but little else. Save the money for
pizza.
Problem
The power indicator by the thumb throttle illuminates but scooter still does not work.
Possible conditions. 1. The throttle handle is not operating properly, nothing
happens when using the thumb throttle. (make sure that the red button is in the out
position. If the button is in the in position the motor controller will be locked out.
2. There is a loose connector.
Possible Solutions 1. Replace the throttle. 2. Check all of the connectors and
make sure all of the connections are made. Could be a problem with the motor
controller.
Problem
Clicking noise coming from motor
Possible conditions. 1. Brush in motor has come loose.
Possible Solutions 1. Replace motor. 2. Just monitor the situation and see
if anything gets worse. Some motors have had a minor clicking sound for
a very long time and never got any worse. You can order a motor and
keep it as a spare if it let’s you sleep any better. Nice paper weight,
Problem
When the brake levers are squeezed the scooter does not stop.
Possible conditions. 1. The brakes are not adjusted properly. 2. The motor
disconnect wires on the brake handles have been cut or come lose in the battery
box.
Possible Solutions 1. Adjust the brakes 2. While under power, applying the
hand brakes should disconnect the motor to allow for full braking. Carefully
pick the unit up with some help. Confirm that either front or rear brake

application disconnects the motor. Check to make sure the connections did
not come loose in the battery box. Replace the brake assembly disconnect
interlock. This comes as part of the either the front or rear hand brake
assembly. Check the wire out. You may be able to change, repair, or solder
the wire to make the repair. This is a big safety issue and something that
should be checked on a regular basis. You do not want that strong 350 watt
motor running at full speed while you are trying to brake.
Problem
Scooter is losing speed within just a few minutes
Possible conditions. 1. Low battery. 2. The temperature is in the freezing range and
you left your scooter in an un heated space. 3. The temperature is over 100F and
the unit is over heating.
Possible Solutions 1. Recharge your battery for 4-6 hours. Power is good
again. If power is still low check the charger or the battery needs
replacement. 2. Bring the scooter into a conditioned space and bring the
temperature up slowly. Lead acid batteries do not like low or high
temperatures because of the electro chemical nature of the storage device.
Problem
The front brake is pulsating when I apply pressure to the hand brake.
Possible conditions 1. The rim is bent. 2. The axle bolts are loose
Possible Solutions 1. Carefully check the rim by picking the front wheel off of the
ground and spin the wheel. If the rim is bent, replace. 2. Carefully check the axle
bolts. The wheel assembly should spin freely and not drag. You do not want to
over tighten the axle bolts and place high side loads on the wheel bearings.
Problem
The power indicator by the thumb throttle does not illuminate when the scooter is on.
Possible conditions 1. Battery is discharged. 2. Fuse is blown
3. Loose connection inside the scooter.
Possible Solutions 1. Recharge your scooter 2. Check and replace the fuse (30
amp slow blow) 3. Open the battery compartment. Visually inspect all wire
connections making sure there are no loose wires. Replace thumb throttle. If the
lights do not come on but everything else works then it is your choice if you want
to change the throttle.
