Mainspowerconnection.
Beforeconnectingthepowercabletothemains,alwaysmakecertainthatitisnot
damagedandthattherearenobarewires,alwaysconnectthepowercabletothe
amplifierbeforeswitchingitonandonlyremovethecableafterswitchingitoff.
Switchingonandoff.
Inanaudiosystem,it'salwaysbettertoswitchpoweramplifiersonlastandofffirst.
Remembertoswitchofftheamplifierbeforeconnectingittoordisconnectingitfromother
unitsandtoswitchalwaysonfirstthemixerandthentheamplifie:inthismanner,peaks
whichareannoyingandsometimesdangerousparticularlyfortheloudspeakersenclosures
areavoided.ItisnormalfortheLEDstolightupforafewmomentswhenswitchingon.

Donotforceknobsandconnectors,astheycouldbedamagediftreatedwithexcessive
force.
Connectionsandpreventionofpossibleinterference.
Avoidinstallingyourequipmentnearradios,televisions,etc.,sincetheycouldcausenoisy
disturbance.Whenconnectingtheotherunitsinyoursoundsystem,watchoutfortoso-
calledearth-loops,whichcancausehum:intheeventofinterference,tryusingtheEARTH
switchontheamplifier'srearpanel.
Connectorcables.
Toconnecttheamplifiertothemixer,alwaysmakecertaintouseonlysignalcables
(screenedcablesmadeupoftwowiresplusabraidscreen),notpowercables(speaker
cables,normallymadeupoftwowires,usuallywithagreatercross-section):toconnectthe
amplifiertotheloudspeakerenclosures,alwaysusepowercables,notsignalcables,asin
thelattercaseinfact,thepowerfromtheamplifierswouldbepartiallydispersebecauseof
thecable'ssmallercross-section.
Takecareoftheconnectorcables.Alwaysholdthembytheconnectors,avoidingpulling
thewireandavoidknotsandtwistswhencoilingthem:thisgivestheadvantageof
increasingtheirlifeandreliability.
Aircirculationforcooling.
Amplifier'scorrectcoolingisensuredbyaninternalfan,thespeedofwhichiscontrolled
byaspecialsensor(thespeedisproportionaltooutputpowerandthereforethe
temperaturegenerated):remembernevertoblocktheairventslocatedontheunit'ssidesin
anyway:theairnecessaryforcoolingpassesthroughthese.
Iftheamplifieriskeptinaflight-caseduringuse,makecertainthatithassufficientopenings
atboththeamplifier'sairvents.Avoidlocatingitverysmallspaceswhichdon'tallowcorrect
aircirculation.
Beforeconnectingtheamplifiertothemainspowersocket,makecertainthatthevoltage
correspondswiththatindicatedontherearoftheunit(anallowanceof10%isacceptable).

Toconnecttheamplifiertothemixer,alwaysmakecertaintouseonlysignalcables
(screenedcablesmadeupoftwowiresplusabraidscreen),notpowercables(speaker
cables,normallymadeupoftwowires,usuallywithagreatercross-section):theuseof
unscreenedcablescouldinfactcauseannoyingbuzzesandbackgroundnoise.We
thereforealwayssuggesttheuseofbalancedcablesformicrophonesandlineunits
wheneverpossible.
Toconnecttheamplifiertotheloudspeakerenclosures,alwaysuseonlypower
cables,notsignalcables,asinthelattercaseinfact,thepowerfromtheamplifierswould
bepartiallydispersedbecauseofthecable'ssmallercross-section.
Takecareoftheconnectorcables.Alwaysholdthembytheconnectors,avoiding
pullingthewireandavoidknotsandtwistswhencoilingthem:thisgivestheadvantageof
increasingtheirlifeandreliability.Checkyourcablesperiodically,makingcertainthatthey
