Here at LS2 we think of safety, design and funco-

nality when we design our range. The creaon of a

new helmet is a very specialized aair taking in many

dierent areas of technology.

Our designers, engineers and technicians are all pas-

sionate about motorcycling and when designing and

producing a new helmet they use this knowledge

and passion to create a range of helmets which are

beer than the last.

TECHNOLOGY FOR ALL

Engineers and developers at LS2 look at the needs

of the market every day and are always on the

quest for new technology to incorporate into our

products.

We sll however maintain our principle of making

such technology aordable for the greatest num-

ber of riders. Therefore each helmet we produce

benets from this work ethic making each helmet

funconal for those who ride everyday.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Each new model is the fruit of many hours of study

analizing every minute detail of the shell: the stren-

ght of his structure, comfort, aerodynamics and

venlaon.

Each LS2 helmet, either in Carbon, HPFC,

KPA or HPTT is

composed of three main elements, the ex-

ternal shell, an internal shock absorbing EPS

and numerous accessories such as comfort

linings, retenon systems, visor and more.

HANDMADE EXCELLENCE

Once a shell has been removed from its

mold it is checked by our technical experts

to make sure it meets our exacng stan-

dards. The shell is then coated with several

layers of the base colour paint and then the

graphics are applied by hand using decals

placed by our skilled manufacturers.

Lastly, the helmet is lacquered with an an

UV coang to ensure the colour remains

as good as the rst day and to give an

extra layer of protecon to all the materials

beneath.

PRECISION ASSEMBLY

The nal assembly of a helmet is then

undertaken by a technician who follows a

strict process for ng the EPS liner, reten-

on strap and visor mechanism. And nally

the comfort liner and user instrucons. Each

helmet then has a nal quality check before

being boxed ready for dispatch.

PERMANENT QUALITY CONTROL

A certain number of our helmets are never

sold as we batch test every model in our

test laboratory. Each helmet is looked at

in minute detail to ensure that quality and

safety are exceponal. We also verify that

each model meets or exceeds the test stan-

dard required by its country of desnaon.

This may be ECE, DOT, BSI or SNELL.

HPFC

High Performance Fibreglass Composite is

a carefully layered blend of an unique bre-

glass weave pre-impregned with resin into a

strong, ultra lightweight, but rigid shell that

accepts an impact while dispersing energy

for a safer ride.

CARBON

Carbon Fibre is a material used extensively

in the aeronaucal industry and of course in

the highly compeve world of Formula 1

and MotoGP. It has incredible strength but

it's extremely light.

LS2 uses mulple layers of our exclusive

wide -weave carbon bre for a very light,

but strong shell that handles impacts in the

most ecient and safe way.

KPA

A proprietary blend of polycarbonate, spa-

ce age thermoplascs and addional mate-

rials specically formulated by LS2, KPA: Ki-

nec Polymer Alloy, oers ultra-light weight

and high penetraon resistance, but with

some exibility for the ulmate in energy

dispersion. This special formula meets both

ECE 22.05 and DOT requirements.

APA

Advanced Polymer Alloy is a proprietary

blend of modern polycarbonate, polymers

and other advanced materials specically

developed by LS2 to meet or exceed the

stringent Snell 2015 standard.

HPTT

In an exclusive process developed by our

researchers named HPTT (High Pressure

Thermoplasc Technology) a mix of ABS is

injected in moulds. The moulds used in this

high precision industrial process are sculp-

ted from blocks of metal weighing several

hundred kilos.

face models, Pinlock is the lea-

ding an-fog system. It keeps

fog from forming under high

humidity condions, no maer

what the weather condions

are, ensuring clear, sharp

vision and contribung to safe

driving.

Perfect vision is essenal to ensure safety on the

road. For this reason all our visors are built with a 3D

Opcally Correct "A Class" Polycarbonate, a material

with high resistance to impact, that avoids distoron

and oers maximum clarity.

Addionally, most of our helmets are available with

an integrated sun visor, making them suitable for any

kind of ride.

The design of the external shell of our helmets takes

advantage of several aerodynamic principles to use

wind energy in favor of the rider both professional

and amateur.

The shape of the shell and venlaon ports helps to

maintain stability while driving and to renew the air

inside the helmet eciently.

The most advanced rider communicaon technology has

been applied to the new LINKIN Ride Pal. Having headphones

integrated in the EPS of the inner shell, without the need for

external pieces, and being easily connecble via USB, LINKIN

Ride Pal can be added to all new LS2 models. It’s a versale

communicaon soluon with a simple design for those who

love two wheels and the open road.

We also give the opon of two types of inter-

nal shapes, specically made for two dierent

head shapes. Oval for a rounded head and

intermediate oval for a more narrow head.

The new graphics of LS2's 2017 collecon include a series of special

prints that meet the aesthec needs of a market which is becoming more

and more demanding in terms of original, creave products based upon

the constant appearance of new trends and lifestyles.

Perhaps the most surprising visual element is the iridescent eect used

on the black surface of the Rusty graphic on the Bobber which causes

reected light to change colors depending upon the angle from which the

shell is viewed. By applying this technique, a striking variety of colors of

the rainbow can be created.

The photoluminescence eect is created with special sckers that absorb

natural and arcial light. The surface of the helmet's shell gives o this li-

ght gradually in the dark, connuing to glow for a long me. This reecve

material guarantees greater rider visibility from other vehicles, opmizing

driving safety.

The chrome surface applied to the Indy graphic of the new Arrow EVO,

creates a mirror eect that aracts the most daring riders. Perhaps the

greatest advantage that this material oers is its ability to reduce glare

and heat inside the helmet, thus keeping the rider safe, comfortable, and

feeling fresh – even in high-temperature condions.

The combinaon of ma and gloss used in some new graphics comes from

a growing market demand for nishings that combine the beauty of both

surface types. The sector's aesthec trends require new creaons that t

with the tastes and demands of riders.

was developed by our designers and engi-

neers in Spain working with our riders from

MOTOG P, MOTO2 and MOTO3. Together,
