Installation
!Beforeplacingyournewapplianceintooperationpleaseread
these operating instructions carefully. They containimportant
informationfor safeuse, forinstallation and for care of the
appliance.

Positioning and connection
Positioning
1.Placetheapplianceinawell-ventilatedhumidity-freeroom.
2.Donot obstruct the rear fan grills. Thecompressor and
condensergiveoffheatandrequiregoodventilationtooperate
correctly and save energy.
3.Ensuretheapplianceisawayfromanysourcesofheat(direct
sunlight,electricstove,etc.).
Electrical connections
Afterthe appliancehas beentransported, carefullyplace it
vertically and wait at least 3 hours before connecting it to the
electricitymains.Beforeinsertingtheplugintotheelectricalsocket
ensure the following:
• Theapplianceisearthedandtheplugiscompliantwiththelaw.
• Thesocketcanwithstandthemaximumpoweroftheappliance,
whichisindicatedonthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleft
sideofthefridge(e.g.150W).
• Thevoltagemustbeintherangebetweenthevaluesindicated
onthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleftside(e.g.220-
240V).
• Thesocket iscompatible with the plug of the appliance.If
thesocketisincompatiblewiththeplug,askanauthorised
techniciantoreplaceit(see Assistance).Donotuseextension
cordsormultiplesockets.
!Oncetheappliancehasbeeninstalled,thepowersupplycable
and the electrical socket must be easily accessible.
!Thecablemustnotbebentorcompressed.
!Thecablemustbecheckedregularlyandreplacedbyauthorised
technicians only (see Assistance).
! The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety
measures not be observed.
Start-up and use
Starting the appliance
! Beforestartingtheappliance,followtheinstallationinstructions
(seeInstallation).
!Beforeconnectingtheappliance,cleanthecompartmentsand
accessories well with lukewarm water and bicarbonate.
! Theappliancecomeswithamotorprotectioncontrolsystem
whichmakes thecompressor startapproximately 8 minutes
afterbeingswitchedon.Thecompressoralsostartseachtime
thepower supply is cut off whether voluntarilyor involuntarily
(blackout).
Freezer Compartment
When the product is switched onthe freezercompartment is
settoitsdefaultvalueof-18°C.WerecommendthattheSUPER
FREEZEfunctionisset(thefreezerstatusbarcontinuestodisplay
thesetvalue)inordertoacceleratethecoolingprocessofthe
compartment;whentheinsideofthecompartmenthasreached
itsoptimaltemperaturethefunctionwillbedeactivatedandthe
foodmaybeplacedinside.
Refrigerator Compartment
Whentheapplianceisswitchedontherefrigeratorcompartment
issettoitsdefaultvalueof+5°C.WerecommendthattheSUPER
COOLfunction is set (the refrigerator status bar continues to
displaythesetvalue)inordertoacceleratethecoolingprocess
ofthecompartment.Afterafewhoursitwillbecoolenoughfor
foodtobeplacedinside.
Navigating the display
Setting the temperatures:
Ifthe product is switched on, the refrigerator and freezer
compartmentdisplayswillindicatethetemperaturevaluessetat
thatmoment.Tochangethem,simplypressthe- and + buttons
correspondingtothecompartmentforwhichyouwishtochange
thesettemperature.Morespecifically,eachtimethebuttonsare
pressed,thetemperatureincreasesordecreasesandthelevelof
coldgeneratedinsidethecompartmentisadjustedaccordingly.
Thetemperaturevaluesthatmaybeselectedfortherefrigerator
compartmentare+8°C,+7°C,+6°C,+5°C,+4°C,+3°Cand+2°C,
whilethevaluesthatmaybesetforthefreezerare-18°C,-19°C,
-20°C,-21°C,-22°C,-24°Cand-26°C.
WhentheHOLIDAY functionisactivethetemperaturemaynot
beadjusted,howevertheapplianceadjustsitselfautomaticallyso
thattheoptimalsettingsforthesituationareused:+12°C for the
refrigeratorcompartmentand-18°Cforthefreezercompartment.
The activation of this function is indicated by the HOLIDAY LED
lightingup.
Toactivateanddeactivatethefunctions,simplypresstherelevant
button;thefunctionstatuswillbesignalledbythecorresponding
LEDonthekeypadswitchingonoroff.
Severalofthefunctions(SUPER COOL, SUPER FREEZE) are
incompatiblewithothers(HOLIDAY,...);rememberthatthereis
apre-establishedorderofprioritywhichwillhelpyoutooperate
theproductinthebestpossibleway.
AIR *
Itisrecognizableduetothepresenceofthemechanismonthe
toppartoftherefrigeratorcompartment(seediagram).

AIR maximisesaircirculation,improvingtheefficiencyofthe
evaporatorandhelpingtoachievetheoptimaltemperatureinside
therefrigerator asquickly as possible each time it hasbeen
opened.Theblownair(A)iscooledwhenitcomesintocontact
withthecoldwall,whereasthehotterair(B)issuckedup(see
diagram).
ACTIVE OXYGEN *
Thisdevice releases ozone molecules inside the refrigerator;
ozone is a natural substance which combats bacteria and
microorganisms,reducing theirproliferation while limiting
unpleasantodours.
Automaticallydefinestheamountofozonerequiredforprolonging
thefreshnessof foodstuffs, eliminatingodoursandpreventing
bacteriabuild-up.
There may be a slight distinctive odour inside the refrigerator.
Theverysamesmellcansometimesbedetectedduringastorm,
