CONTROL PANEL

On the control panel, are the following symbols:
Position 0 tap closed
Large flame maximum opening/delivery
Small flame minimum opening/reduced delivery
To light one of the burners, press and turn the
relevant knob anticlockwise to the large flame
position.
At the same time press the electric ignition button
until the burner ignites.
Once the burner is lit, keep the knob pressed for
about 10 seconds.
Release the knob.
If the knob does not ignite, repeat the operation.
The burner safety system serves to prevent the
emission of gas if the flame should be extinguished
accidentally (draughts, interruptions in gas supply,
dousing with liquids, etc.).

STATIC FUNCTION
Use when all the food is on the same runner level.
- Preheat the oven to the required cooking
temperature and place the food inside as soon as
the red thermostat indicator light switches off.
BOTTOM HEATING FUNCTION
(not thermostatically controlled).
Use this function:
- To finish baking fruitcakes or cheesecakes.
- To thicken sauces.
Use the bottom heating function for the last 10 or
15 minutes of cooking time.
TOP HEATING FUNCTION
(not thermostatically controlled).
Use this function:
- to brown top of fruitcakes or cheesecakes.
Use the top heating function for the last 10 or
15 minutes of cooking time.
GRILL/TURNSPIT FUNCTION
Use the grill function to grill meats or vegetables and
for making toast.
- The oven door must be opened during the cooking
cycle.
- Position the heat shield to protect knobs.
- Preheat the grill for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the meat on the grid with the drip tray
underneath. Pour water in the drip tray to cover the
bottom thus reducing smoke and fat spatters.
- Turn over the food about half-way through cooking
time.
Some cookers have a timer which can be set from 1 to
60 minutes and rings to indicate the end of cooking.
To use this timer turn the button to the right to the time
required. For short times (less than 15 minutes), turn
the button past the time required and then turn it
backwards for better precision of setting.
- Turn the oven selector knob to the desired
temperature or function.
To switch the oven off:
- Turn the oven selector knob to position 0.

USING THE OVEN
1. Place the food on the spit (A) and secure it using
the two forks (B), making sure that it is well
balanced to avoid excessive strain on the turnspit
(C) motor.
2. Put the two spit supports into the holes (F) of the
tray.
3. Then put the tray into the 1

level from the bottom
fitting the square end of the spit into the motor axis
(E).
4. Remove the spit handle (G).
5. We suggest that you pour some water into the
bottom of the tray to reduce smoke and splashes
of fat.
6. Start the turnspit turning the oven/grill control
knob to symbol .
7. Leave the oven door open during cooking and fit
the heat shield to protect the control buttons
against excessive heat.
