IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handles or knobs to avoid any injuries.
3. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or this appliance in water or other liquid.
4. Not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking o parts.
6. When toaster is not in use, ensure that Toasting levers (C) are in the upright position.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service partner for examination, repair or
adjustment.
8. e use of accessory attachments, not recommended by the appliance manufacturer, may cause injuries.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. To shut down your appliance press Cancel button (F) then unplug from wall outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
14. Oversize foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may involve a risk of
re or electric shock.
15. A re may occur if toasters are covered or touching ammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and
the like, when in operation.
16. Do not attempt to remove food when toaster is plugged in.
17. WARNING - To prevent electric shock, unplug before cleaning.
18. When heating toaster pastries, always use the lightest toast color setting.

DO
e toaster must always be used in the upright position (not on its side or tilted forward or back).
Before each use, make sure that the Crumb tray (K) is in its proper location.
Regularly remove crumbs from Crumb tray (K).
e Toasting lever (C) must be in the raised position before plugging in or unplugging from an outlet.
If bread jams in the slots after toasting, the unit will automatically shut o. Unplug immediately from the outlet
and wait for the toaster to cool before attempting to remove the bread.
Unplug the toaster if it shows any working abnormalities.
DO NOT
Never leave the toaster unattended during operation, particularly when toasting for the rst time or when
changing settings.
Do not touch the metal parts or hot surfaces of the appliance when it is working.
Do not try to toast breads with ingredients that melt or drip in the toaster (iced breads or stued breads) and do
not toast very small pieces of bread or croutons as this may damage the appliance or cause a re.
Do not toast breads thicker than 1 inch in the toasting slots.
Bread can burn; do not cover this appliance while in use and do not use this appliance near any ammable
materials such as curtains, under shelving or wall cupboards, etc.
Do not put paper towels, cardboard or plastic in, on or under the toaster.
If ames arise from parts of the toaster, never attempt to extinguish with water. Unplug the appliance and
smother the ames with a damp cloth.
Do not use this appliance as source of heating or drying.
Do not use the toaster for cooking, grilling or defrosting frozen food other than bread products.
Do not unplug appliance by pulling on cord. Instead grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
Never wrap cord around toaster. Use cord storage on the underside of unit.

A Wide and deep bread slots
- Enables you to toast a large variety of breads – regardless of thickness.
B Self-centring bread slots
- Whether you are toasting thick or thin bread, your bread will always be positionned in the center of the slot
to ensure even toasting.
C Toasting Lever
- 2 functions : down position when toasting and high position to remove smaller breads safely.
D Electronic browning control dial
- Adjustable toast settings from 1-6, with additional frozen setting allows you to toast your bread to the desired
color consistently. 1 is the lightest setting and 6 is the darkest.

USING YOUR TOASTER
TOASTING BREADS
1. Plug the toaster into a 120V, AC outlet.
2. Insert bread in the Bread Slots (A).
3. Select the desired browning level using the Browning Control Dial (D). 1 is the lightest setting and 6 is the
darkest.
4. Push the Toasting Lever (C) down to start the toasting cycle. e LCD screen will begin to count down toasting
time.
5. When the desired browning level is achieved, the toaster will beep 3 times and automatically turn o. To
interrupt toasting, press the Cancel button (F). It will immediately interrupt the toasting cycle and raise the toast.
6. To remove small pieces of bread such as bagels, use the Toasting lever (C) to lift the toast above the starting
position so that it can be safely removed.
CAUTION: Do not use a knife or another sharp metal tool to remove bread from the toaster and do not touch
the metal internal parts of the toaster.
IMPORTANT: Do not toast stale bread, rice crackers, or similar items on a high setting as they may catch re.
TOASTING BAGELS
1. Position the bagels facing inwards, as per illustration.
2. Select the desired color setting on the Electronic Browning Control Dial (D).
3. Push the Toasting lever (C) down to start the cycle.
4. en push the Bagel Button (I), it will light up and start to count down.
Note: you can combine this function either with the DEFROST.

REHEAT
1. Position the bread (or bagels facing inwards) as per illustration.
2. Push the Toasting Lever (C) down to start the cycle.
3. en push the Reheat Button (G), it will light up and start to count down.
Note: e program reheats your toast for 30 seconds without making it browner.
DEFROST
1. Position the bread or (bagel facing inwards, as per illustration.)
2. Select the desired colour setting on the Electronic Browning Control Dial (D).
3. Push the Toasting Lever (C) down to start the cycle.
4. en push the Defrost Button (H), it will light up and start to count down
Note: e Defrost cycle adds an extra 30 seconds required to defrost.
MORE TIME
1. Position the bread or (bagel facing inwards, as per illustration.)
2. Push the Toasting Lever (C) down to start the cycle.
3. en push the More Time Button (J), it will revise instruction and start to count down
Note: e program adds More Time to your toasting cycle to make it perfect.
Note: When the desired browning level is achieved, the toaster will beep 3 times and automatically turn o. To
interrupt toasting, press the Cancel button (F). e Cancel button will immediately interrupt the toasting
cycle and raise the toast.
Note: To remove small pieces of bread such as bagels, use the Toasting Lever (C) to lift the toast above the starting
position so that it can be safely removed.

CLEANING
- Always unplug the toaster and allow to cool completely before cleaning.
- To remove crumbs from the toaster, gently press the crumb tray so that it slides out of the toaster and empty.
If washed, allow the crumb tray to dry completely before replacing in the toaster. Always replace the crumb tray
before next use.
CAUTION: Do not allow crumbs to accumulate, as this may cause a potential re hazard.
CAUTION: Do not wash crumb tray in the dishwasher.
CAUTION: Do not hold the appliance upside down and do not shake it to remove the crumbs.
- Clean the appliance body with a damp cloth.
DANGER: Never immerse the appliance in water.
CAUTION: Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone to
clean the appliance.
CAUTION: Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
CAUTION: Do not use a knife or another sharp metal tool to remove bread from the toaster and do not touch
the metal internal parts of the toaster.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM SOLUTION
e toaster does not work. Make sure the plug is properly inserted into the wall socket.
If the toaster still does not work, consult an authorized All-Clad service
center.
Bread gets stuck in the appliance. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Carefully remove the bread from
the toaster. Take care not to damage the heating elements when you remove
the bread.
Never use a metal object for this purpose.
e toast is too dark/too light. Check the browning setting selected for toasting. Select a lower setting next
time if your toast is too dark and a higher setting if your toast is too light.
Only one side of the bread is toasted. Check if the Bagel function is not activated.
e bread pops up almost immediately
without having been toasted.
Make sure the Toasting Lever is down all the way. Do not force the lever
down. If the bread does not stay down, consult an authorized All-Clad service
center.
Smoke comes out of the toaster. You have chosen a setting too high for the type of bread toasted. Push the
Cancel button immediately to stop the toasting process and unplug the
toaster.
e power cord is damaged. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized All-Clad
service center. Never use the toaster when the power cord is damaged.
