kitchen scale before preparing it for use and using
it for the first time. Please carefully read the follow-
ing instructions for use and the important safety
notes. Only use the kitchen scale as described and
for the indicated uses. Keep these instructions in a
safe place. When passing the kitchen scale on to
others, be sure to also include all documentation.

Intended use
This product is suitable for weighing and tare weigh-
ing typical household amounts of food. The kitchen
scale is used to determine the weight and /or vol-
ume of non-aggressive, non-corrosive and non-abra-
sive liquids or solids. Never weigh chemicals (e.g.
cleaners, grinding paste, fuels, etc.). The kitchen
scale is only intended for private use, not for com-
mercial purposes. Any other use or modifications to
the kitchen scale is prohibited and may result in in-
jury and /or damage the kitchen scale. The manu-
facturer accepts no liability for any damage
caused by improper use. The kitchen scale is not
intended for commercial use.

ies. The battery may overheat,
ignite or explode. Never throw
batteries into fire or water. The
batteries may explode.
Batteries should not be crushed,
punctured, or othenivise mutilated.
Batteries should not be heated

exceeding the manufacturer´s
recommended maximum tem-
perature. Such thermal exposure
may lead to leakage, fire, or
explosion.
Failure to observe the follow-

This product contains a lithium
button/coin cell battery. If a
new or used lithium button/coin
cell battery is swallowed or
enters the body, it can cause se-
vere internal burns and can lead
to death in as little as 2 hours.
Always completely secure the
battery compartment. If the bat-
tery compartment does not close

securely, stop using the product,
remove the batteries, and keep it
away from children. If you think
batteries might have been swal-
lowed or placed inside any part
of the body, seek immediate
medical attention.
The cells shall be disposed of
properly, including keeping them
away from children; Even used
cells may cause injury.
Avoid extreme environmental
conditions and temperatures, e.g.
above radiators as they may
affect batteries. Otherwise there
is an increased risk of battery
leaks.
If the battery is drained, remove
from the product immediately.

Remove light dirt from the battery

First use
Pull the insulating strip out of the battery com-
partment in the direction of the arrow.
Or:
To open the battery compartment at the back
of the product, push the tab on the battery
cover toward the battery compartment and
lifting up.
Remove the insulating strip. This is located
between the battery 5 and the battery
compartment.

Reattach the battery cover. Be sure the two
tabs on the battery cover catch in the opening
for the battery cover. Push the battery cover
onto the battery compartment until you hear
and feel it lock into place.

Replacing the battery
Open the battery compartment at the back of
the kitchen scale 1 as described above.
Remove the drained battery 5.
Insert the new battery 5 (1 x CR2032).
Please note the polarity of the battery when in-
serting it. The battery 5 is correctly inserted if
you see “+“ on the battery 5 when inserted
and the battery stays in the battery compart-
ment.
Close the battery compartment as described
above.

Setting the unit
Place the kitchen scale 1 on a solid, level and
flat surface.
Push the ON / OFF button / TARE button 3 to
turn the kitchen scale 1 on.
Press the UNIT button 4 to select the unit of
weight. Choose from “g“, “oz“, “lb:oz“, “ml“,
“fl.oz“.

Weighing
Place the kitchen scale 1 on a solid, level and
flat surface.
Push the ON / OFF button / TARE button 3 to
turn the kitchen scale 1 on. The LCD will read
0“ (0.00 or 0: 0.0).
Place the item you want to weigh on the scale.
The LCD 2 will show the weight of the item.

Add other items you want to weigh to the scale.
The LCD 2 will show the weight of the item

When removing the added items from the scale,
the LCD 2 will read “0“ (0.00 or 0: 0.0).
When removing all items being weighed, the
scale will show a negative value.

Turning the scale off
The kitchen scale 1 will automatically turn off
after 120 seconds of non-use to save power.
To manually turn the kitchen scale 1 off, push
and hold the ON / OFF button / TARE button 3
for 2–3 seconds.

Cleaning and care
Do not clean with chemicals,

Never immerse the kitchen
scale in water or other liquids. The kitchen

Clean the kitchen scale using a slightly damp,
lint-free cloth. For tough dirt you
can also use

local collection point.

What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
· Damage not accounted for by normal wear and
tear or following the safety and maintenance
instructions provided in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
· Improper use or transport;

What is the period of coverage and
