Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury by means of fire or
electric shock we urge that our clients take some basic safety precautions when using this
device. Please read the operation instructions carefully and make sure you have understood its
content.
Always use a grounded power connection with the appropriate mains voltage. You can find the
corresponding mains voltage on the type plate. If you have any doubts about the connection being
grounded, have it checked by a qualified professional. Never use a faulty electric cable.
Do not inspect the electrical part of the pressure pond filter in a wet or damp environment or when you
are wet yourself and protect it from direct sunlight. Install this device in a safe location so that nobody
can step on the cable, fall over or damage it. Disconnect the power plug before cleaning it and use
only a damp cloth for cleaning. Avoid using cleaning agents and make sure that no liquid enters the
electrical part of the pump.
The electric part of the device contains no parts that can be inspected or serviced by the user. Leave
the maintenance, adjustment and repair to qualified technical personnel. In case of unauthorised
intervention the 2-year warranty is no longer valid! Keep these operation instructions safe.

Durability
The maximum temperature of the pumped liquid should not exceed +35°C in continuous operation.
Avoid pumping aggressive liquids (acids, lyes, silo leach etc.) as well as liquids containing abrasive
substances (e.g. sand).
Electrical Connection
The electrical connection is made at a 230 V ~ 50 Hz socket outlet with earthing contact. Fuse protec-
tion at least 6 Ampere.
The motor is protected against overload or blocking by the built-in thermal motor protection. In case of
overheating, the overheating protection of the motor automatically switches the pump off and after
cooling down the pump switches itself on again automatically.
Power Supply
The pond pump you have purchased is already equipped with a safety plug. The pump is intended for
connection to a 230 V~50 Hz socket. Make sure that the socket is sufficiently fused (min. 6A) and in
order. Insert the pump plug into the socket so that the pump is ready for operation.

Installation
Please position the pump under water and make sure that no water gets into the socket.
Figure 1)
The pump is installed as follows: either in a fixed po-
sition with fixed piping or in a fixed position with flexi-
ble piping.
Use as submerged pump
(See figure 1)
Immerse the pump completely in the pond so that it
fills with water. To protect the pump from clogging,
place the pump above the pond sludge. The pump is
started by plugging in the mains plug.
Commissioning
After you have read these installation and operating instructions carefully, you can put your new pump
into operation by observing the following points:
Check that the pressure line is properly installed.
Make sure that the electrical connection is 230V~50Hz.
Check that the outlet is in proper condition.
Make sure that moisture or water never gets to the mains connection.
Place the pump below the water surface.
Avoid the pump from running dry.
Never operate the pump without a filter basket, which protects the pump from dirt that might clog
the pump.
Maintenance Instructions
The pond motor pump is a proven quality product that is subjected to strict final inspections.
However, for a long service life and uninterrupted operation, we recommend regular inspection and
cleaning.
In order to ensure proper functioning of the pump, it is necessary to clean it regularly. We recommend
a weekly cleaning of the pump.

Overload Protection
The pump has an integrated overheating protection. The pump must cool down for a while after being
switched off by the overheat protection before being able to operate again. If it does not start by itself,
perform the following checks:
Could the pump cool down sufficiently after switching off due to the overheating protection?
Is the water supply sufficient? > Improve water supply!
Is there dirt in the pump casing? > Carry out the following cleaning!
Hose or pipe blocked? > Clean it!
Tube kinked, too long? > Check, replace, shorten!
