Chain drive KA 34/64-TW-DF (-K)

Application
Chain drive KA-TW-DF is a special type of chain drive KA 32-BSY, with which two drives are
combined in one tube for doubling the force. The force is evenly distributed on the window
wing by this special structural shape, which leads to trouble-free closing, especially in case
of particularly wide wings. The drive has a force/ and positioning control. This control will
ensure, that the drive will OPEN and CLOSE evenly and reliable. In case of failure of one part
of the drives, e.g. by parting of a cable or overload, the other part of the drives will be
automatically switched off. Turning sash windows can be electrically remote controlled with
this drive. The drive is suited for using in smoke vent systems as well as for daily ventilation.
D+H offers a wide range of smoke and heat vent/ and ventilation control panels for triggering.

Extent of Supply
Drive unit and 2,5m silicone cable (PVC cable
with 230VAC -K version).
Different bracket sets available dependent
on window type and type of mounting.
Please observe!
Bracket sets are not included in extent of
supply of the drive unit, and must be
ordered separately.
Guarantee
You will get 2 years guarantee for all D+H products from date of verified handing over of the
system up to maximal 3 years after date of delivery, if mounting and starting has been carried
out by a D+H authorized distributor.
D+H guarantee is expired, in case of connection of D+H components on external systems or
mixing of D+H products with parts of other manufacturers.
! IMPORTANT ! Safety Notes
1.We recommend, that mounting of the drive is carried out by a D+H-distributor, whose
qualification and experience is ensured by regular in-house training.
2.Inspection and maintenance has to be carried out according to D+H-maintenance
instructions.
Repair of the drive unit is to be carried out exclusively by D+H.
D+H-warranty and functioning guarantee is only valid in case of operation on D+H -
smoke vent/ and ventilation control panels according to current regulations, which must
be observed.
3.Observe maximum pressure load of chain (see page 3)!
4.Only suited for inside mounting. Use always rain detectors, if danger of rain.
5.Observe enclosed red safety slip!
6. Danger of violent pressure within reach!

Maximum pressure loads of chains must
be strictly observed to warrant safe and
reliable performance of the chain drives!
The diagram is valid each for one of the
two drive chains.
Total pressure load is twice as high.
Note: Maximum pressure load of the
chains is not automatically identical
with maximum pressure force of the
drives!

Attention!
Both the „Soft Close“ potentiometers must be turned in
same position on both sides of the drives.
Adjusting of Locking Pressure (soft-close)
(only KA 64-TW-DF)
Locking pressure will be reduced 20mm before the chain is completely retracted, so that possible
different wing projections must not be compensated. Locking pressure can be infinitely increased
up to approx. 2x 250N, if factory-set locking pressure of approx. 2x 130N should not be sufficient.
1.Pull out blind rivet. Stick in screw driver
and turn to the right to increase locking
pressure.
2.Put blind rivet in again after adjustment.
