From single serving drinks to simple kitchen prep work, the new Vita-Mix
32 oz./0.9 Ltr. container is designed with performance in mind. Simplicity in sealing
the Lid Plug improves the performance of the lid and allows you to operate your machine
with confidence at any speed. For best results, make sure the lid and plug
are in the “lock” position, especially when processing hot liquids.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: READ FIRST!
WARNING:
Container blade is sharp. Handle carefully.
• Never try to remove blade while container is sitting on the base.
• Never place blade assembly on base without container properly attached.
WARNING:
Keep hands and utensils out of the container while motor is running
to prevent the possibility of severe personal injury and/or damage to the Vita-Mix.
WARNING:
When blending hot ingredients, always start the machine on
LOW. The Container Lid and Lid Plug must be latched and used in accordance
with the following Lid and Lid Plug locking instructions. Failure to do so could
result in hot liquid escaping from the Container Lid.
ACCELERATOR TOOL/TAMPER INSTRUCTIONS
The accelerator tool/tamper allows you to process very thick and/or frozen mixtures
that cannot be processed in a blender. While the machine is running, use the
accelerator tool/tamper to push ingredients into the blades as you make frozen
desserts, thick smoothies and nut butters, or puree fruits and vegetables.
Your new Vita-Mix 32 oz. / 0.9 Ltr. Container can only be used with the Accelerator
Tool/Tamper designed with the “step” (see Figure 1). DO NOT USE the older
Accelerator Tool/Tamper model, shown in Figure 2, that has a straight and smooth
surface and no “step.” Use of this model will cause damage to the blades.
DO NOT FORCE
the Accelerator Tool/Tamper into the 32 oz. / 0.9 Ltr.
Container. Excessive force may cause the Accelerator Tool/Tamper to
extend too far into the container and possibly cause damage to the blades. See
the machine’s manual for additional information about the use of the Accelerator
Tool/Tamper.
RECIPE NOTE:
When following recipes that were included with your Vita-Mix, be sure to adjust the
ingredients for processing in the smaller capacity 32 oz. / 0.9 Ltr. Container if necessary.
Some recipes were designed specifically for the larger capacity 64 oz. / 2 Ltr
. Container
.
1. Looking at the top of the
Container Lid, you will see small
icons that indicate locked and
unlocked positions.
2. Position the Lid Plug over the
Container Lid and align either of
the position indicator tabs on the
Lid Plug with one of the unlocked
icons, then press the Plug into
the Lid.
3. With the Plug pressed firmly into
the Lid, turn the Plug until one of
the position indicator tabs is
aligned with the locked icon.
4. If you are unsure if the plug is
locked, turn the lid over. The
locking feet must be seated into
the Lid locking notches. The
bottom surface of the Plug should
be snug against the top of the Lid.
5. The Lid has a continuous rim that
fits inside the Container. Push the
Lid into the Container until the
side latches are properly engaged
under the Container rim.

Our patent-pending lid locking feature allows the processing of up to 32 oz. / 0.9 Ltr.
in a compact container, as well as the ability to process hot liquids – not possible in a
typical blender.
“step”
1. Lock the lid in place (see lid assembly
instructions) and remove the Lid Plug by
turning the plug to an unlocked icon.
2. To help circulate the ingredients, hold the
Accelerator Tool/Tamper straight and
push it through the lid opening until the
“step” touches the lip of the lid. For extra
thick ingredients, point
the tool toward the
side or corner of the
container if needed.
Do not push the
Accelerator Tool/
Tamper “step” past
the lip of the lid
(see Figure 3).
