The on-off lamp
Lamp I flashes when the
appliance is switched on and
awaiting a programme to be set.
A steady light means the
appliance has accepted the
selected programme.
The door block lamp
The safety lamp indicates that the
washing machine door is locked
to prevent it from being opened
accidentally. To avoid any
damages to lock mechanism, you
must wait for the lamp to
extinguish, before attempting to
open the door which takes
around three minutes.
Silk and curtains: press button
D and Margherita 2000 will drain
the water.
Synthetic fabrics: press button D
if you want a spin cycle, or turn
knob A to symbol
if you
want the water to be drained.
Spin Exclusion
Press this button and the
washing machine will not carry
out a spin cycle, but rather a
drum spin at medium speed to
assist water draining. We
recommend that you use it when
washing garments which are
difficult to iron.
Extra Economy
Reduces water consumption
during the rinse cycles. We
recommend that you use this
function only with small laundry
loads, dosing the detergent
proportionally.
Prewash
With this button, you can pre-
wash on all programmes except
the wool programme and the
special programmes (see page 4).
On-off
When button H is pressed, the
washing machine is switched on,
when it is not the machine is
switched off.
Turning the appliance off does
not cancel the selected
programme.

Understanding the control panel
Making the right choice is important. And its easy.
Margherita 2000s knobs are hidden.
Just press them lightly in the middle
to extract them.
Programme selector knob
and programmed start
It is used to select the wash
programme.
Before setting anything, press
the on/off button (H). Lamp I
will begin to flash.
The chosen programme is visible
through the window M.
Remember that the knob can
only be turned in a clockwise
direction.
To select the programmes, make
sure the mark situated on
window M is aligned with the
symbol/number corresponding to
the desired programme for at
least 5 seconds. After these 5
seconds, the setting is accepted,
lamp I stops flashing (staying lit)
and the wash cycle begins. If you
want to interrupt the programme
in progress or to set a new one,
select one of the symbols
(Stop/Reset) and wait for 5
seconds: when the cancellation
has been accepted, lamp I will
flash.
You can use this knob to delay
the washing machines operation:
select one of the four positions
for programmed start and wait for
5 seconds. This is when the
setting has been accepted (lamp
i stops flashing and stays lit) and
you can select the programme
you require.
Pilot lamp 1 has a particular
flashing action (2 seconds lit and
4 seconds off) to indicate that the
delayed start has been set.
During this phase, it is possible
to open the door and modify the
washing load.
After the wash cycle has been set
and accepted by the washing
machine, turning the knob will
have no effect (except for when
it is on position Stop/Reset).
Temperature control knob
It is used to set the wash tempe-
rature in the recommended
programme table on pag. 4. It also
allows you to reduce the tempe-
rature recommended for the
selected programme, and even to
set a cold wash cycle ( ).
Detergent dispenser
It is divided into three
compartments:
1. Detergent for pre-wash;
2. Detergent for the main cycle
wash;
3. Fabric conditioner.
Anti-crease
This button allows you to
interrupt a programme (on
symbol ) keeping the washing
soaking in water before the spin
cycle. It is a very useful button
in particular because it can be
used for delicates and synthetics.
It is only to be used with wash
program-mes for synthetic
fabrics, silk and curtains when it
is impossible for you to take the
washing out immediately. Before
opening the washing machine
door, finish the wash cycle as
follows:
The detergent dispenser is here.
