When using electrical appliances,
basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the
following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not use this appliance for other
than its intended use.
3. Close supervision is necessary
when any appliance is used by or
near children, or by others who may
need supervision.
4. To protect against electric shock, do
not place cord, plugs, or appliance
in water or other liquid.
5. Do not use outdoors or on wet
surfaces.
6. Do not use in humid places such as
bathrooms. If liquid enters the air
cleaner, turn it off and have it
inspected by an authorized
Electrolux service center.
7. Do not use near flammable gases.
8. Do not place directly beneath a
smoke detector, as this could
reduce the smoke detector’s
sensitivity.
9. Connect to a power supply only
as directed on the rating plate.
10. Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged cord or plug. If the
appliance malfunctions, or has been
damaged in any manner, return the
appliance to the nearest authorized
service center for inspection, repair,
or adjustment.
11. Do not pull or carry this equipment
by its cord. Do not use cord as a
handle, close a door on cord, or pull
cord around sharp edges or corners.
Do not let cord hang over the edge
of a counter or table where it can be
pulled on by children or tripped over
unintentionally.
12. Do not place the air cleaner near
a heater.
13. Keep cord away from heated
surfaces.
14. Do not put any object into openings.
Do not use with any opening
blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair
and anything that may reduce
airflow.
15. Do not put objects on top of or
inside of unit, and do not block
the grills.
16. Do not use without filters in place.
17. Do not unplug the power cord
before air cleaner has cooled down.
18. Unplug from outlet when not in use
and before cleaning.

Polarized plug
This appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully
into the outlet, reverse the plug and
reinsert. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not modify the
plug in any way.

non-washable.

unit to transport. Do not hold by the
front panel.

Assembly and Use
REMINDER: Make sure the pre-filter and HEPA filter are properly installed before use.
Where to locate
1. Keep the unit in a place at least 6' = 15.24cm away
from TV set, radio, etc. to avoid interference.
3. Keep both sides of the unit more than 4
inches away from a wall.
6. Place the air purifier in a well-ventilated area
of the room.
4. Do not place the unit where the air inlet or
outlet grill could come in contact with a curtain.

If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufactureror its
service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

Plug the unit into an electric outlet, the
unit will be ready to run. Press the key
to start running, press it again to stop.
While the fan is running, press the3.
key to the desired run time
(hours). The preset time will cycle each
time the key is pressed as shown
below.

Press the ION key to turn on the ionizer
while the fan is running, press it again to
turn off the ionizer.
5.
When the unit is in operation, press UV
button to turn on the UV lamp and press
again to turn off the UV lamp.

When the air purifier is turned on, the fan will
run at speed 2 (low). Pressing the key willl
cause the fan speed to cycle as shown
below.
1. Plug the unit into an electric outlet; the unit will
be ready to run.

SPEED CONTROL
There are three speed settings controlled by the
mechanical knob. When you turn the SPEED knob to
the different settings, the rotate speed of the motor is
also different. The different speed positions are
corresponding with diferent running modes: position 1
(low), position 2 (medium), position 3 (high).

Clean and Maintain
Cleaning the air purifier
WARNING: prior to cleaning or other maintenance, the appliance must be disconnected from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the inlet grill from the unit as shown
below.
3. Grasp the left and right frame of the HEPA
filter through the recess on the side of the
filter enclosure, and remove the filters.
4. The pre-filter can be removed from the inlet grill
for cleaning.
5.Clean the pre-filter and HEPA filter as often
as possible. We recommend cleaning the
filters at least once every 3 months. Filters
should be replaced every year.
6.Clean the inlet grill frequently. The inlet grill can
be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or a piece of
damp cloth.
1. Release the inlet grill by pressing on the locking
switch and pull forward as shown below.
NOTES:
Vacuuming will restore performance of the HEPA filter. However, the filter may appear stained. This is normal and
does not affect performance in any way.
Do not use water or any other household cleaners or detergents to clean the permanent filter.
The inlet grill can be cleaned with a vacuum or a piece of damp cloth.

Filter Replacement
It is recommended to wear gloves while
discarding the used filter. Place the used
filter in a plastic bag to prevent dust
fromre-entering the air.
Distinguish the front side from the back
side of the filter.
NOTE:
2. Remove the inlet grill from the unit as shown below.
4. Take the HEPA filter out of the plastic bag
and insert it into the air cleaner with the arrow
pointing inward.
5. Replace the air inlet grill onto unit as shown below

limited warranty. For one year from your
original date of purchase, Electrolux will repair
or replace the appliance or parts, at
Electrolux’s option, that prove to be defective
in materials or workmanship when the
appliance is installed, used, and maintained in
accordance with the provided instructions.
Labor and all costs associated with returning
the appliance or parts to us and our returning
the appliance or parts to you are excluded
under this warranty. As a matter of warranty
policy, Electrolux will not refund the
consumer’s purchase price. If a product or
part under warranty is no longer available,
Electrolux will replace with a comparable
product of equal or greater value.
Exclusions: This warranty does not
cover the following:
1 Products with original serial numbers that
have been removed, altered or cannot be
readily determined.
2 Products that have been transferred from
the original owner to another party or
removed outside the USA or Canada.
3 Rust on the interior or exterior of the unit.
4 Products purchased “as-is”.
5 Food loss due to product failure.
6 Products used in a commercial setting or
anything but single family household use.
7 Labor or service visits under any
circumstance.
8 Glass parts or containers, filters, non-stick
surfaces.
9 Ordinary wear and tear.
10 Damages caused by improper use,
installation, or service; use of parts other
than genuine Electrolux parts; negligence;
abuse; misuse; inadequate or excessive
power supply; accidents; fires; or acts of
God.
Keep your receipt or some other appropriate
payment record to establish the warranty
period. Should warranty service be required,
you must show proof of purchase.
