Before use
Please read the information below with care. This gives important guidance on the
safety, use and maintenance of the appliance. Keep this booklet in a safe place and,
if appropriate, hand it on to the next owner.
Fakir appliances comply with recognized technological standards and the current
safety regulations for electrical appliances.
These appliances fulfil the requirements of EU Guidelines 89/336/EEC
(Electromagnetic compatibility) and 73/23/EEC (Low voltage guideline). The applian-
ce is marked with the CE symbol on the rating plate.
Fakir reserves the right to modify designs and specifications without notice.

This appliance is intended for household use only

Do not switch on the appliance if the housing exhibits any evidence of damage
(cracks/fractures), if the connecting lead is defective, or if an internal defect is sus-
pected (e.g. if the appliance has been dropped).
Appliance only to be connected to voltage indicated on the rating plate.
You have acquired an appliance of exceptionally strong suction power. As fuse pro-
tection a min. 10 ampere fuse has to be used.
Fakir will not accept any liability for damage or injury if the appliance is used other than
for its intended purpose or is improperly operated or inexpertly repaired and maintai-
ned.
When connecting accessories, cleaning, repairing or servicing the unit, unplug the unit.
Do not let children use electrical appliances unsupervised.
Repairs should be carried out by an authorized Fakir service center. Incorrect repairs
may the user to electrical danger. Let the hot surface cool before putting on or taking
off parts.
Safety Precautions
To protect against fire, electric shock and injury, do not immerse cord, plug or appli-
ance in water or other liquid.
Do not pull out the plug from power supply socket by pulling on the connecting lead.
Do not pull the connecting lead over sharp edges or allow it to become jammed.
Do not use damaged extension leads.
The supply cable has to be replaced by an autorized Fakir After-Sales-Service only.
Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
Do not switch on the coffee maker when the water tank is empty.
The jar is used for coffee maker only. Do not put it on a stove to re-heat the coffee or
put it into microwave oven.
Do not put the jar on a cold or wet surface when it is hot.
Do not use the jar when it is cracked or when the handle is weak or damaged.
Do not use any abrasive thing to clean the jar (like abrasive powder, metallic sponge
and etc).
Make sure the filter has cool down before removing it for cleaning.
Do not fill the water container with anything else except cold water.
Do not move the coffee maker when the jar is filled with hot liquid.

Do not switch on the coffee maker when the jar was removed.
Do not touch hot surfaces.
Before any maintenance operation and after use, switch off the appliance and pull out
the mains plug. Allow the machine to cool down.
Do not store the appliarice in the open air.
Do not exposure the machine to weather, humidity nor excessive heat.
Clean the appliance only with a dry or slightly moist cloth.
Disposal instructions
Please dispose of packaging materials and, eventually, the appliance itself in accor-
dance with any official regulations or guidelines which may apply.
f facilities are available in your locality for the recycling of packaging materials, please
make use of these accordingly.
When finally disposing of the appliance itself, please render it unserviceable before
taking it to the autorized place of disposal.

Open the top cover.
Fill water into the tank to desired volume or cups.
Put the permanent filter into the filter holder.
Pour coffee power into the filter.
Close the top cover.
Switch on the coffee maker, coffee maker start brewing.
Switch off the coffee maker, coffee maker stop brewing.
After the water is boiled away, coffee maker will keep coffee warm in the pot automa-
tically before it is switched off.
Time display
After connection the power supply LCD displays the time 12:00. If you don t press any
button, it will always flash.
Time set
1 Press button of PROGRAM one time, yellow indicator of double color LED will light up.
It means you can set the clock time now, LCD will display 12:00 at beginning. The time
will increase an hour after each time you press the HOUR button. Time will become
24:00 from 12:00 after one cycle setting. If you hold on the HOUR button 2 sec or
more, the time of hour will increase rapidly and automatically.

minute. If you hold on the MINUTE button 2 sec or more, the time of minute will increa-
se rapidly and automatically.
3 The yellow indicator will off after you do not touch any button for 5 sec. LCD will dis-
play current clock time. If you want to reset time, repeat the step 1 and 2.
Make coffee automatically
4 Press PROGRAM button twice, green indicator of double color LED will light up. It
means you can set the auto program coffee making. Press HOUR and MINUTE but-
ton to set the time you want. After setting auto program, If you release the buttons for
5 sec, it will come back to clock display automatically.
5 Then press AUTO button, the red indicator of AUTO button will light up. When the time
you have set arrived, coffee maker will switch on automatically and start brewing. The
green indicator of POWER button will light up and red indicator of AUTO button will go
off at the same time.
6 If you do not want to make coffee automatically, you do not need to set time and timer.
Press POWER button one time, coffee maker starts brewing and green indicator of
POWER button will light up. Press POWER button second time, coffee maker will stop
brewing.
Note: The coffee maker will be switched off automatically if brewing exceed 2 hours.
Descale
To descale your coffee maker you can use:
A sachet of descaling powder diluted in 1/2 of water or
2 cups of white wine vinegar
Pour either of above into water container. Start the coffee maker without coffee, leave the
equivalent of one cup of water to flow into the jar, then switch the machine off.
Leave the vinegar or descaling solution to descale for 1 hour.
Switch the appliance on again to process the remaining solution.
Rinse the appliance by running the machine two or three times with cold water only.
