QUICK INSTRUCTIONS
MODEL CD-916
POWERING UP
Power your CD player by connecting an optional AC ADAPTOR or by inserting 2
size AA fresh alkaline batteries.
HEADPHONES PLUGGING IN
Plug the headphones into the PHONES jack on the
right side of the player, and put on the headphones.

RADIO OPERATION
BASS BOOST
Slide the switch on the bottom of the set to ON position to give you more low
frequency tones.
VOLUME CONTROL
Adjust the VOLUME control to your preference.
BATTERY OPERATION
1. Open the BATTERY DOOR.
2.Insert 2 size AA fresh alkaline batteries as shown.
NOTE:Player will not work, and batteries will be
drained, if not inserted as shown on the
bottom of the set.
3.Close the BATTERY DOOR.
NOTE: If the symbol
shows in the display, your
batteries are weak and need replacement.
NOTE: The only AC ADAPTOR suitable for this player is DC 4.5V 600mA, with
polarity , others may damage your player. Please check voltage
and current (mA) before buying an AC ADAPTOR.

1 Slide the CD(RADIO OFF)/FM/AM FUNCTION switch (on the left side of the set)
to AM or FM position to select the desired wave band.
2 Tune into the station you prefer using the TUNING control, the stations frequency
will be displayed in the readout. Adjust for the clearest sound or the stations
freqency if know.
3 If you tune into an FM stereo station, FM ST will show in the display.
4 Adjust the VOLUME control to your listening preference.
5 If you prefer more bass, slide the BASS BOOST switch to ON position.
6 To turn off the radio, slide the CD(RADIO OFF)/FM/AM FUNCTION switch to CD
(RADIO OFF) position.

QUICK INSTRUCTIONS
PAUSE
Pressing PLAY/PAUSE button while a disc is playing will pause play. (The elapsed
playing time will flash during pause.) Press PLAY/PAUSE again to continue play.
STOP (or POWER OFF)
Press the STOP/OFF button once to stop play and the power will shut off automatically
about 30 seconds later, or press the STOP/OFF button twice to shut off power
immediatelly.
REPEAT
During play, press the REPEAT button once to repeat one song over and over,
REPEAT 1
will show in the display. That song will play and repeat again and again till
you press the STOP/OFF button.
To repeat all songs, just press the REPEAT button twice, the display will show
REPEAT ALL
.
Press the STOP/OFF button to quit repeat play.
ESP
The ESP PLUS
TM
function will turn on automatically when the PLAY/PAUSE button is
pressed. Your music will not skip or stop when the set is shaken or vibrated for brief
periods (after memory basket fills).
PROGRAMMING
To arrange the songs to play in a special sequence (1, 5, 2, 3, etc.) you can program
the set to your taste.
Press the PROGRAM button, use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons ( or ) to select
the track you want, then press the PROGRAM button again. Repeat pressing the
SKIP/SEARCH buttons ( or ) and PROGRAM button till you finish
programming, then press PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing.

PLAYING A DISC
You can play compact discs that have this logo:
1.Slide the CD(RADIO OFF)/FM/AM FUNCTION switch
(on the left side of the set) to the CD position.
2.Slide the OPEN button to open the CD DOOR.
3.Place a disc on the center post with the label facing up,
and then gently push down on the center of the disc
until it clicks in.
4.Close the CD DOOR, press the PLAY/PAUSE button,
the display tells you how many tracks are on the disc
and total playing time on the disc, the disc will play.
NOTE: This CD player will play NORMAL music CDs (or CD-R/CD-RW CDs).

SKIP/SEARCH ( or )
During play, press and hold the SKIP/SEARCH buttons or while the disc is
playing to search backward or forward through a particular track (or song).
Press it several times to skip to a later or earlier song. Press once to get back
to the beginning of the current playing song.
