H1 valve plate
Proper orientation
These valve plates are manufactured with large locator pin notches on opposite sides
from each other and smaller identication notches. The large notches are to t over
the locator pin in the pump end cap or center section. The large notch on one side is
to be used with Electric Displacement Control (EDC), Forward-Neutral-Reverse (FNR)
controls, or Manual Displacement Control (MDC) and the large notch on the opposite
side is to be used with Non-Feedback Proportional Electric (NFPE), Automotive Control
(AC), or Fan Drive Control (FDC). The various control types require dierent valve plate
timing. The large notch that has small notches at one side of it is to be used with EDC,
FNR, or MDC controls. The large notch that has small notches on both sides of it is to be
used with NFPE, AC, or FDC controls. The small notches are also used to identify valve
plate rotation. Three small notches indicate a CW (right hand) rotation valve plate, and
a valve plate with six small notches indicates CCW (left hand) rotation.
