- Recommended installation locations
- First decide where you can legally and safely install the Sharing Library Box.
- Check your particular zoning requirements prior to selecting an installation location.
- Do not place within or overhang the public street right-of-way or any public easement.
- Donotobstructvehicular,bicycleorpedestriantrac,eitherphysically,orbyaperson
utilizing the Sharing Library Box.
- Do not obstruct access aisles or paths utilized by persons in wheelchairs or for ADA
accessibility.
- Thelocationshouldalsohavealotoffoottracandbehighlyvisibletoanyonenearby.
- One person to be the steward (steward = caretaker); this person promotes the Sharing
Library Box and makes sure it is clean and inviting.
- Required for Installation:
- Standard 4”x4” post cut to 48-inch length (not included)
- Note: with normal soil conditions and level ground, a standard 4”x4” post cut into 48-
inch length is adequate for mounting your Simplay3 Sharing Library Box with 26 inches
in ground and 22 inches above ground.
- Decal Application:
Clean and dry area thoroughly. Center decal in area. Apply pressure from center to
outer edge.
- To minimize risks posed by drill shavings, screws are designed to pierce the plastic
and form their own threads. Use caution not to over-tighten screws or they will not hold
parts together appropriately.
- Cleaning Instructions:
General Cleaning: Use mild soapy water.
- Disposal Instructions:
Please recycle when possible. Disposal must be in
compliance with all government regulations.

Attach Library post to the wood post by inserting two
bolts through the slots in the Library post.
NOTE: Drilling a 1/4” pilot hole may ease bolt installation.

Panel side should be to the rear of the product. Position
and slide Library post down the 4”x4” post.

Tighten securely with socket wrench.
