INSTALLATION

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE
To ensure best use of your appliance, carefully
read the operating instructions which contain a
description of the product and useful advice.
Keep these instructions for future reference.
1. After unpacking the appliance, make sure it is not
damaged and that the door closes properly. Any
damage must be reported to the dealer within
24 hours of delivery of the appliance.
2. Wait at least two hours before switching the
appliance on, to ensure that the refrigerant circuit is
fully efficient.
3. Clean the inside of the appliance before using it.
ENERGY-SAVING TIPS
• Installtheapplianceinadry,wellventilatedroom
far away from any heat source (e.g. radiator,
cooker, etc.) and in a place not exposed directly to
the sun. If required, use an insulating plate.
• Toguaranteeadequateventilationfollow
installation instructions.
• Insufficientventilationonbackoftheproduct
increases energy consumption and decreases
cooling efficiency.
• Theinternaltemperaturesoftheappliancemaybe
affected by the ambient temperature, frequency of
door opening, as well as location of the appliance.
Temperature setting should take into consideration
these factors.
• Allowwarmfoodanddrinkstocooldownbefore
placing in the appliance.
• Donotobstructthefan(ifavailable)withfood
items.
• Afterplacingthefoodcheckifthedoorof
compartments closes properly, especially the
freezer door.
• Reducetoaminimumdooropening.
• Whenthawingfrozenfood,placetheminthe
refrigerator. The low temperature of the frozen
products cools the food in the refrigerator.
• Appliancescouldhavespecialcompartments
(Fresh Food Compartment, Zero Degree Box,...). In
case not differently specified in the specific booklet
of product, they can be removed, maintaining
equivalent performances.
• Positioningoftheshelvesintherefrigeratorhas
no impact on the efficient usage of energy. Food
should be placed on the shelves in such way to
ensure proper air circulation (food should not touch
each other and distance between food and rear
wall should be kept).
• Youcanincreasestoragecapacityoffrozen
food by removing baskets and, if present, Stop
Frost shelve, maintaining an equivalent energy
consumption.
• Damagedgasketmustbereplacedassoonas
possible.
• Highenergyclassproductsarefittedwithhigh-
efficiency motors that remain operational for longer,
but have a low power consumption. Do not worry if
the engine continues to run for longer periods.

2. INSTALLATION
2.1. INSTALLING SINGLE APPLIANCE
To guarantee adequate ventilation, leave a space on both
sides and above the appliance.
The distance between the rear of the appliance and the
wall behind the appliance should be at least 50mm.
A reduction of this space will increase the Energy
consumption of product.
3. FUNCTIONS
3.1. ON/STAND BY
This function turns On/Stand-by the appliance. When the
appliance is in Stand-by, the light inside the refrigerator
compartment does not work.
Remember that this operation does not disconnect the
appliance from the power supply.
To activate or deactivate this function – see enclosed
Quick Start Guide.
3.2. 6TH SENSE FRESH CONTROL
This function allows optimum storage conditions
(regarding temperature and humidity) to be quickly
reached inside the appliance. The fan must also be
switched on for it to work properly. The “6th Sense Fresh
Control” is activated by default. To activate or deactivate
this function – see enclosed Quick Start Guide.
3.3. DOOR OPEN ALARM
The Door Open Alarm is activated when the door is left
open for more than 2 minutes. Indication of the alarm is
shown by the blinking and the acoustical alarm sounds.

Start Guide.
3.4. FAST COOL
The use of this function is recommended when
placing a very high quantity of food in the
refrigerator compartment.
Using Fast Cool
function it is possible to increase
the cooling capacity in the refrigerator compartment. To
maximize the cooling capacity, please keep the fan switch
on.
3.5. FAST FREEZE
The use of this function is recommended when placing
a very high quantity of food to be frozen in the freezer
compartment.
3.6. SMART DISPLAY
This option function can be used to save energy.
To activate the Smart Display, press Fridge °C and
Freezer °C buttons at the same time for 3 seconds until
the acoustic signal sounds.
Two seconds after activation of the Smart Display, the
display goes off, except the “6th Sense Fresh Control”
indicator.
To adjust the temperature or use other functions, it is
necessary to activate the display by pressing any button.
After about 15 seconds without performing any action,
the display goes off again and only the “6th Sense Fresh
Control” indicator remains visible.
When function is deactivated the normal display is
restored. The Smart Display is automatically disabled
after a power failure.
Remember that this function does not disconnect the
appliance from the power supply, but only reduce the
power consumed by external display.
Activation and deactivation procedure see the Quick Start
Guide.
Note: The declared appliance energy consumption refers
to operation with the Smart Display function activated.
When the “6th Sense Fresh Control” is deactivated and
the Smart Display will be activated: all LEDs on the
display will turn off.
3.7. FAN*
The Fan improves temperature distribution inside the
product, allowing better preservation of stored food. By
default, the fan is switched on. It is advisable to keep the
fan switched on, so that the 6th Sense Fresh Control
function can work properly or if you notice drops of water
on the glass shelves or in sever humidity conditions.
Please note that when the fan is switched on it will
not continuously work. The fan will start/stop working
depending on the temperature and/or humidity level
inside the product. It is therefore absolutely normal if the
fan does not move even if the fan is switched on.

Attention: Switching- off the Fan deactivate the 6th
Sense Fresh Control function.
Note:
Do not obstruct the air intake area with food items.
To minimize Energy Consumption, turn off the fan.
If the appliance has the Fan it can be equipped with the
antibacterial filter.
Remove it from the box placed in the crisper drawer and
insert into the cover of fan.
The replacement procedure is included in the filter box.
3.8. ZERO DEGREES DRAWER
The Zero Degrees Drawer is specifically designed to
maintain a low temperature and a suitable humidity level,
in order to keep foods fresher for longer (e.g. meat, fish,
fruit and winter vegetables).
Activating and deactivating the box
To activate/deactivate the
box, press the button as
illustratedinthegure.
When the box has been
activated, the symbol
lights up.
The temperature inside the box, when active, is
approximately 0°. The following factors are vital for the
“Zero Degrees” box to work properly:
- the refrigerator compartment must be switched on
- the temperature of the refrigerator compartment must be
between +2°C and +5°C
- the box must be inserted to enable activation
- no special functions must have been selected
(Standby, Vacation – where applicable).
If one of these special functions has been selected, the
“Zero Degrees” box must be deactivated manually, and
any fresh food inside it removed. If manual deactivation
does not take place, the box will be deactivated
automatically after 8 hours.
Note:
- if the symbol does not light up when the function is
activated, check that the drawer is properly inserted; if
the problem persists, contact your nearest authorized

- if the function is active and the drawer open, the symbol
on the control panel may be deactivated automatically.
If the drawer is inserted, the symbol will become active
again
- irrespective of the state of the function, a slight noise
may be heard: this is normal and is not a cause for
concern.
- when the function is not active, the temperature in the
drawer depends on the general temperature inside the
refrigerator.
In this case, we recommend it is used to store fruit and
vegetables which are not sensitive to cold temperatures
(fruits of the forest, apples, apricots, carrots, spinach,
lettuce, etc.).
Important: when the function is activated and there are
foodstuffs with a high water content, condensation
may form on shelves. In this case, disable the function
temporarily.
3.9. TEMPERATURE SETTING
The appliance is normally factory-set for operation at the
recommended medium temperature.

Start Guide.
Note: Displayed set points correspond to the average
temperature throughout the whole refrigerator
3.10. WIFI – REMOTE CONTROL
When the Remote Control function is activated, you can
control the appliance through your smartphone/tablet.
To activate or deactivate this function – see enclosed
Quick Start Guide and separate instructions.
3.11. KEY LOCK
This function prevents anyone from inadvertently
changing settings or switching off the appliance.
To activate or deactivate this function – see enclosed
Quick Start Guide.
3.12. BLACK-OUT ALARM
After a power blackout, your product is designed to
automatically monitor the temperature in the freezer when
electricity is resupplied. If the temperature in the freezer
rises above freezing level, the Black Out icon lit the
Alarm Icon blinks and the acoustical alarm sounds when
electricity is re-supplied. To reset the alarm press the
Reset button just once.
In case of Black Out Alarm, the following actions are
recommended:
•Ifthefoodinthefreezerisunfrozenbutstillcold,all
the food in the freezer should be moved to the fridge
compartment and eaten within the next 24 hours.
•Ifthefoodinthefreezerisfrozen,thisindicatesthefood
was thawed and then refrozen when electricity was re-
supplied which degrades taste, quality and nutritional
value and also could be unsafe. It is recommended
to not consume the food but to dispose of the entire
content of the freezer.*
The Black Out Alarm is designed to provide guidance on
food quality in the freezer in the event of electricity black
out. This system does not guarantee food quality or safety
and consumers are advised to use their own judgment
in evaluating food quality in freezer and refrigerator
compartments.
3.13. NO-FROST REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT
Refrigerator compartment defrosting is completely
automatic.
Droplets of water on the rear wall inside the refrigerator
compartment indicate that the automatic defrost phase
is in progress. The defrost water is automatically run
into a drain hole and collected in a container, where it
evaporates.

3.14. NO-FROST FREEZER COMPARTMENT
No Frost freezers provide chilled air circulation around
the storage areas and prevent the formation of ice,
thereby completely eliminating the need for defrosting.
Frozen items don’t stick to the walls, labeling stays legible
and storage space remains neat and clear.
3.15. REFRIGERATOR LIGHT
The light system inside the fridge compartment uses
LEDs light, allowing a better lightning as well as very low
energy consumption.
If the LED light system does not work, please contact the
Service to replace it.
Important:
The refrigerator compartment light switches on when
the refrigerator door is opened. If the door is kept open
for more than 10 minutes the light will be automatically
switched off.
4. USE
4.1. HOW TO INCREASE STORAGE CAPACITY
You can increase storage by:
• removingthebaskets/flaps*toallowthestorageof
big products.
• placingthefoodproductsdirectlyonthefreezer
shelves.
• removingthebottlerack*
• removingthe“ZERO
DEGREES DRAWER”*
In this case proceed as follows:
- switch off the box
- pull out the drawer and the white
plastic shelf underneath the box.
Note: the upper shelf and the side support cannot be
removed.
To restore “Zero Degrees Drawer” operation, make sure
you replace the white plastic shelf underneath the box
before inserting the drawer and reactivating the function.
To optimise energy consumption, we recommend you
deactivate the “Zero Degrees Drawer” and remove it.
4.2. NOTES
• Donotblocktheairoutletarea(onthebackwall
inside the product) with food products.
• Ifthefreezerisprovidedwithaflap,itispossibleto
maximize the storage volume by removing the flap
• Allshelves,flapsandpull-outbasketsareremovable.
• Theinternaltemperaturesoftheappliancemaybe
affected by the ambient temperature, frequency of
door opening, as well as location of the appliance.
Temperature setting should take into consideration
these factors.
• Unlessotherwisespecifiedtheapplianceaccessories
are not dishwasher safe.
5. FOOD-STORAGE TIPS
5.1. FRIDGE COMPARTMENT
The refrigerator is the ideal storage location for ready
meals, fresh and preserved food, dairy products, fruit and
vegetables and beverage.
5.2. AIR VENTILATION
• Thenaturalcirculationofairintherefrigerator
compartment results in zones with different
temperatures. It is coldest directly above the fruits and
vegetables crisper and at the rear wall. It is warmest at
the top front of the compartment.
• Insufficientventilationresultsinanincreaseinenergy
consumption and reduction of the refrigerating
performance.
5.3. HOW TO STORE FRESH FOOD AND BEVERAGE
• Userecyclableplastic,metal,aluminumandglass
containers and cling film to wrap foods.
• Alwaysuseclosedcontainersforliquidsandforfood
that may give off or be tainted by odor or flavor transfer
or cover them.
• Foodswhichgiveoffalargeamountethylenegas
and those that are sensitive to this gas, such as fruit,
vegetables and salad, should always be separated
or wrapped so as not to reduce the storage life; for
example do not store tomatoes together with kiwi fruits
or cabbage.
• Donotstorefoodtooclosetogethertoenable
sufficient air circulation.
• Toavoidbottlesfallingover,youcanusethebottle
holder (available on selected models).
• Ifyouhavealittlequantityoffoodtostoreinthe
refrigerator, we recommend to use the shelves above
the crisper for fruits and vegetables since this is the
coolest area of the compartment.

5.4. WERE TO STORE FRESH FOOD AND BEVERAGE

EXAMPLES OF FOOD ARRANGEMENT
5.5. FREEZER COMPARTMENT
The freezer is the ideal storage location for store frozen
food, make ice cubes and freeze fresh food in the freezer
compartment.
The maximum number of kilograms of fresh food that
can be frozen within a 24-hour period is indicated on the
rating plate (…kg/24h).
If you have a little quantity of food to store in the freezer,

Adding a label will help you to identify foods and to
know when they should be used before their quality
deteriorates.Do not re-freeze defrosted food.
5.7. TIPS FOR FREEZING AND STORING FRESH
FOOD
• Before freezing, wrap and seal fresh food in:
aluminium foil, cling film, air and water-tight plastic
bags, polythene containers with lids or freezer
containers suitable for freezing fresh food.
• Food must be fresh, mature and of prime quality in
order to obtain high quality frozen food.
• Fresh vegetables and fruit should preferably be frozen
as soon as they are picked to maintain the full original
nutritional value, consistency, colour and flavor.
Some meat, especially game, should be hung before it is
frozen.
Note:
• Always leave hot food to cool before placing in the
freezer.
• Eat fully or partially defrosted foods immediately.
Do not refreeze unless the food is cooked after it
has thawed. Once cooked, the thawed food can be
refrozen.
• Do not freeze bottles with liquid.
5.8. USING ICE PACKS*
Ice packs helps in keeping frozen the foodstuffs in case
of power failure. For the best usage of them, place them
above food stored in the top of compartment.
5.9. FROZEN FOOD: SHOPPING TIPS
When purchasing frozen food products:
• Ensure that the packaging is not damaged (frozen
food in damaged packaging may have deteriorated).
If the package is swollen or has damp patches, it may
not have been stored under optimal conditions and
defrosting may have already begun.
• Whenshopping,buyfrozenfoodsattheendofyour
trip and transport them in a thermally insulated cool
bag.
• Onceathome,placethefrozenfoodsimmediatelyin
the freezer.
• Iffoodhasdefrostedevenpartially,donotre-freezeit.
Consume within 24 hours.
• Avoidorreducetemperaturevariationstothe
minimum. Respect the best-before date on the
package.
• Alwaysobservethestorageinformationonthe
package.

Sounds coming from your appliances are normal since it has a number of fans and engines to regulate

7. RECOMMENDATION IN CASE OF NO USE OF THE
APPLIANCE
7.1. ABSENCE / VACATION
In case longer absence its recommended to use up food
and to disconnect the appliance to save energy.
7.2. MOVING
1. Take out all internal parts.
2. Wrap them well, and fix them together with adhesive
tape so that they do not bang together or get lost.
3. Screw the adjustable feet so that they do not touch the
support surface.
4. Close and fix door with adhesive tape and, again
using adhesive tape, fix the power cable to the
appliance.
7.3. POWER FAILURE
In the event of a power failure, call the local office of your
electricity supply company and ask how long it is going
to last.
Note: Bear in mind that a full appliance will stay cold
longer than a partially filled one.
If ice crystals are still visible on the food, it may be frozen
again, although flavour and aroma may be affected.
If food is found to be in a poor condition, it is best to throw
it away.
For power failures lasting up to 24 hours.
1. Keep the door of the appliance closed. This will allow
the stored food to stay cold as long as possible.
For power failures lasting more than 24 hours.
1. Empty the freezer compartment and arrange the
food in a portable freezer. If this type of freezer is
not available and, likewise, no artificial ice packs are
available, try to use up the food, which is more easily
perishable.
2. Empty the ice tray.
8. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the
appliance from the mains or disconnect the electrical power
supply.
Periodically clean the appliance with a cloth and a solution of
lukewarm water and neutral detergent specifically for refrigerator
interiors. Never use abrasives. Never clean refrigerator parts with
flammable fluids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
Clean the outside of the appliance and the door seal with a damp
cloth and dry with a soft cloth.
Do not use steam cleaners.

regularly using a vacuum cleaner.

longer.
• Iftheappliancedoorhasbeenleftopenforawhileoriflarge
amounts of food have been stored, the motor will run longer in
order to cool down the interior of the appliance.
If the appliance temperature is too
high:
• Aretheappliancecontrolscorrectlyset?
• Hasalargeamountoffoodbeenaddedtotheappliance?
• Checkthatthedoorisnotopenedtoooften.
• Checkthatthedoorcloseproperly.
If the doors do not open and close
properly:
• Checkthatfoodpackagesarenotblockingthedoor.
• Checkthattheinternalpartsorautomaticicemakerarenotoutof
position.
• Checkthatthedoorsealsarenotdirtyorsticky.
• Ensuretheapplianceislevel.
9.2. FAILURES
When any failure appears any LEDs indicator start blinking, it is necessary to call service. The appliance will work
preserving the food stored.
Note: In case of power failure, appliance goes back to normal operation and previously chosen temperature setpoint
is restored.

10. AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Before contacting After-Sales Service:
Switch the appliance on again to see if the problem
has been solved. If it has not, disconnect the appliance
from the power supply and wait for about an hour before
switching on again.
If, after performing the checks described in the
Troubleshooting Guide and switching the appliance on
again, your appliance still does not work properly, contact
the After-sales Service, explain the problem.
Specify:
• themodelandapplianceserialnumber(statedonthe
rating plate),
• thenatureoftheproblem,
• theServicenumber(thenumberaftertheword
SERVICE on the data plate on the inside of the
appliance),
• yourfulladdress,

Note:
The direction of door opening can be changed. If this
operation is performed by After-sales Service it is not
covered by the warranty.
11. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION FOR GREAT BRITAIN AND
IRELAND ONLY
Warning - this appliance must be earthed
Fuse replacement
If the mains lead of this appliance is fitted with a BS 1363A 13amp
fused plug, to change a fuse in this type of plug use an A.S.T.A.
approved fuse to BS 1362 type and proceed as follows:
1. Remove the fuse cover (A) and fuse (B).
2. Fit replacement 13A fuse into fuse cover.
3. Refit both into plug.
Important:
The fuse cover must be refitted when changing a fuse and if
the fuse cover is lost the plug must not be used until a correct
replacement is fitted.
Correct replacement are identified by the colour insert or the
colour embossed in words on the base of the plug.
Replacement fuse covers are available from your local electrical
store.
For the Republic of Ireland only
The information given in respect of Great Britain will frequently apply, but a third type of plug and socket is also used,
the 2-pin, side earth type.
Socket outlet / plug (valid for both countries)
If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket outlet, please contact After-sales Service for further instruction. Please
do not attempt to change plug yourself. This procedure needs to be carried out by a qualified technician in compliance
with the manufactures instructions and current standard safety regulations.
