STAGE 39: THE FRAME
STEP 1 Prepare the main frame assembly, as well as
the H-frame and four of the screws from Parts 41.
STEP2

STEP 2 Place the H-frame onto the four
corresponding tabs on the underside of the main
frame, aligning the holes of both parts.
STEP 3 Tighten one of the screws into one of the
sets of aligned holes.
STEP 4 Then tighten the three other screws into
the other holes, as shown.

In this stage, you will continue assembling the frame.

STAGE 40: THE REAR PUSHRODS
STEP 1 Prepare the two pushrods, the pushrod
base, and two of the D screws from Parts 42.

STEP 2 The pushrod base has two numbers stamped
on it, 1 and 2.
STEP 3 Identify pushrod 1, stamped with a 1 at the
bottom of the rod.
STEP 4 Take the pushrod stamped with a 1, and
align the bottom of it with the hole in the base,
also stamped with a 1.

In this stage, you will assemble the rear pushrods.

base, and secure it with one of the screws.

2, and align it with the other hole in the base.

STEP 1 Prepare the engine
assembly (Stage 32), the rear
pushrod assembly (Stage 40),
and the four slot-head screws
supplied with Parts 42.
STEP 4 Tighten a slot-head screw
into one of the corner holes.
STEP 2 Identify the opening in
the engine where the pushrod
assembly will t (see the
following step).
STEP 5 Now tighten a further
three slot-head screws into the
other holes in the base.

over the opening in the engine,
ensuring that you have it the right
way around and aligning the
corresponding holes of both.
STEP 6 Prepare the ignition switch
(Stage 38), and the mounting post
and screw from Parts 43.

positioned correctly.

STAGE 42: THE CYLINDERS
STEP 1 Prepare the engine assembly, the
cylinder (Parts 29), the exhaust spigot (Parts 44)
and Parts 45.

STEP 2 Take the cylinder from Parts 29, stamped
with a 1 on the inside, and the engine.
STEP 3 Place the cylinder onto the post, then turn
the cylinder so the bottom matches the base.
STEP 4 Place the bottom of the cylinder
head onto the post, aligning it with the top
of the cylinder.

In this stage, you will continue assembling the cylinders.

STAGE 43: THE CARBURETTOR
In this stage, you will t the carburettor to the engine.
STEP 1 Prepare the engine
assembly and the carburettor
(Stage 34).
STEP 4 Align the pin of the air
intake with the hole in the gasket,
as in Stage 34.
STEP 2 Remove the manifold and
gasket from the air intake.
STEP 5 Insert the pin at the
bottom of the oat bowl into the
hole between the bottoms of
the cylinders.

the slots in the two cylinders, in the
space between them.

STEP 1 Prepare the engine, the
valve covers from Parts 32 and
43, and the cylinder head tops
and screws from Parts 33 and 44.
STEP 4 Move the second pushrod
into the other hole in the top.
STEP 2 Take cylinder head top
1 and place it onto the cylinder
head 1.
STEP 5 Tighten one of the screws
into the hole in the top, as shown.

move one of the pushrods into the
corresponding hole in the top.

into the top to secure it.
