the display is the value of ambient temperature.

THERMOMETER

This INTELLIGENT THERMOMETER is

small in size, light in weight, easy to carry.

Although complex and advanced, it is

convenient to use and operate. Its ruggedness

will allow many years of use if proper operating

techniques are followed. Please read the

following instructions carefully and always

keep this manual within easy reach.

4. MEASURING PROCEDURE

4.1 Select the thermocouple according to measurement

range.

4.2 Insert the sensor plug into the socket (3-1), taking care

to observe the correct polarity.

4.3 Slide the function switch to “MEAS” position.

4.4 Plug the sensor to the point measured.

4.5 The reading displayed is the temperature measured.

4.6 To see the maximum Value, just slide the Function

Switch to “MAX HOLD” position.

4.7 To See the minimum Value, just slide the function

switch to “MIN HOLD” position.

4.8 To Carry out the Conversion of Celsius temperature or

Fahrenheit temperature, just depress the conver-

sion button (3-3) for a while. Accordingly, the symbol

℃ or ℉ will appear on the display.

4.9 Upon completion of measurement, Slide the function

switch to “OFF” position.

4.10 Measurement Considerations

When the sensor is first plugged into the thermometer,

or if the senor is changed, the plug must be allowed

to stabilize at the temperature of the socket, which is in

thermal contact with the cold junction compensation

device, for greatest accuracy is to be achieved. This

will only take a couple of minutes and only applies if

the sensor plug has previously been

of the thermometer.

Note that in common with other thermocouple

thermometers, the accuracy specification applies

only to the instrument itself and allowance must be

made for limits of error permitted in the

thermocouple.

5. BATTERY REPLACEMENT

5.1 When it is necessary to replace the battery (battery

voltage less than approx. 5v ), battery symbol will

appear on the display.

5.2 To loose the screw of the battery cover (3-5) away

from the instrument and remove the battery.

5.3 Install the batteries correctly into the case.

Permanent damage to the circuit from incorrect

installation.

Normally, Spare button has no use. It is reserved

for later use to satisfy user’s special needs, such as

socket (3-1) , the reading on the display is “1”.
