SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
Read all of the instructions before using this appliance.
When using this appliance, always exercise basic safety
precautions, including the following:
1) Use thisappliance only for its intended purpose as described in thisuse
and care guide.
2) This wine cooler must be properly installed in accordance with the
installation instructions before it is used. See grounding instructions in the
installation section.
3) Never unplug your wine coolerby pulling on the power cord. Always
grasp the plug firmly and pull straightout from the outlet.
41Repair or repine immediately, al_electric service cords that have become
frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not usea cord that showscracks or
abrasion damage along its length, the plug or the connector end.
5) Unplug your wine cooler before cleaning or before making any repairs.
Note: If for any reason thisproduct requires service, we strongly
recommend that a certified technicianperforms the service.
6) If your old wine cooler is not being used, we recommend that you remove
the doors. Thiswill reduce the possibility of danger to children.
7) Thiswine cooler shouldnot be recessedor bulbin an enclosed cabinet. It
is designed for Freestanding installation only.
8) Do not operate your wine cooler in the presence of explosive fumes.
9) Do not store foods in wine cooler as interior temperature may not be cool
enough to prevent spoilage.
10) Use of an extension cord is not recomnended.

InstallingYourWineCooler
Unpacking Your Wine Cooler
1. Remove all packaging material. This includesthe foam base and all
adhesive tape holding thewine cooler accessoriesinside and outside.
Slide out and remove plastic or foam guard used to secure the
compressor from shipping damage due ta vibration and shack.
2. Inspectand remove any remainsof packing, tape or printed
materials before powering on the wine cooler.
Leveling Your Wine Cooler
Yourwine cooler has four levelinglegs which are located in the
front and rear comers of your wine coder. After properly placing your
wine cooler in itsfinal position,you can level your wine cooler.
Levelinglegs can be adjusted by turning them clockwise to raise your
wine cooler or by turning them counterclockwise to lower
your wine cooler. The wine cooler door will close easier when the
leveling legs are extended.
Proper Air Circulation
Toassureyour winecoolerworksat themaximumefficiencyit
wasdesignedfor,you shouldinstallit ina locationwhere there
isproperair circulation, plumbingand electricalconnections.
Thefollowing are recommended clearances around the winecooler:
Sides............... 2 "(50ram)
Top.................... 2" (50mm)
Back.................. 2" (50mm)
Do notover fill your wine coolerfor proper internal air circulation.
Electrical Requirement
Make sure there is a suitable power Outlet (I 15 volts, 15 amps outlet)
with proper grounding to power the wine cooler.
Avoidtheuseof three pbg adaptersor cutting offthe thirdgroundingin
order to accommodatea _woplugoul_et.Thisisa dangerouspractice
sinceitprovidesno effectivegroundingforthewinecoolerand may
resultin shockhazard,
Install Limitations
Do not install your wine cooler in any location not properly insulatedor
heated e.g. garage etc. Your wine cooler was not designed to operate
in temperature settingsbelow 55" Fahrenheit.
Select a suitable location for the wine cooler on a hard even
surface away from direct sunlightor heat sourcee.g. radiators,
baseboard heaters, cooking appliances etc. Any floor unevenness
shouldbe corrected with the levering bgs located on the front and rear
bottom corners of the wine cooler.
Yourwine cooler isdesigned for flee-standing installationonly. It isnot
designed for built-in application.
Initial Setup
Once you have plugged the unit into an electrical outlet,
letthe unit run for at least30 minutes to acclimate itself before
making any adjustments.During this lime the Red Wine light may stay on.
Temperature Adjustments: seeFig.#1
The wine cooler is preset from the factory to automatically
accommodate temperature requirements for red or white wines.
If you store mostly white wines, pressthe 'White Wine" button and the
wine cooler will maintain an average temperature between
45" to 50" F.Pushingthe "Red Wine" buttonwill yield an
average temperature between 55" to 60" F.
The wine cooler can be set to any temperature you desire to
accommodate your wine storagerequirements. To setthe temperature,
press both the "White Wine" and "Red Wine" buttons simultaneously
and hold for approximately 3 seconds. Now you are in temperature set
mode. Decrease the temperature by pushing the "White Wine" button
and increasethe temperature by pressingthe nRedWine" button.
Pressingthe appropriate button 3 timeswill adjustthe temperature 3
degrees, press4 timesequals 4 degrees, 5 timesequals 5 degrees, and
so on. Once you have selectedthe temperature you desire, pushthe
'Light/Set" button. Now thewine cooler is programmed and the LED
readout will return to current internal temperature reading.

There will be a 3 degree variance +/- between the temperature you
selectand the temperature indicated on the LEDreadout.
Thisoccursbecause the wine cooler activatesand deactivates
trying to maintain your desired temperature. There is often a
1O"variance between thetop and bottom shelvesof thewine cooler.
Therefore, if you hove set the wine cooler for 50" and hove a
mix of red and white wines, you may want to put thewhite wine
on the bottom shelfwhere the temperature will be 45" F,and place the
wine on the top shelfwhere the temperature will be 55" F.
Shelving
Theshelvesarechrome platedforappearance and easycleaning.
Toaccommodatedifferentsizedbottlestheshelvesslideout
and con be movedupor down intoanyof thetracksmolded
intothe coolercabinet. Largerbottlesor Magnumscan bemoreeasily
accommodatedat thecrass shelvesat thebottomof thecooler.
Youwill noticethatthe shelvesare designedsothe bottlesdo
notline-up directlyoveroneanother.Thisallowsfreeair
movementand providesmorespace.
Interior Light
Tocomplementthe lookofyourwinecollection,a softlighthasbeen
built intothe winecooler.Simplypushthe "Light/Set"buttonand the
lightcomeson, pushagain for off. Formaximumenergyefficiency,
leavelightoffwhennotviewingyourcollection.

Door Lock
" For safelyand security,your wine cooler isequipped with a door lock.
Toeliminate the risk of accidental child entrapment, the lockwas
designed so that the door will not lock until the key is removed
(consistentwith UL requirements).
Normal Operating Sounds You May Hear
Boilingwater, gurgling soundsor slightvibrations that are the resultof
the refrigerant circulating through the cooling coils.
The thermostat control will click when it cycleson and off.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Warning: To avoid electricshockalways unplug your
wine cooler before cleaning. Ignoring thiswarning
may resultin death or injury.
Caution: Beforeusing cleaning products, always read and
follow manufacturer'sinstructionsand warnings to
avoid personal injury or productdamage.
General:
Prepare a cleaning solution of 3-4 tablespoonsof
baking soda mixed with warm water. Use sponge or
softcloth, dampened with the cleaning solution,to
wipe down your wine cooler.
Rinsewith clean warm water and dry with a softcloth.
Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, ammonia,
chlorine bleach,concentrateddetergents, solventsor
metal scouring pads. SOME of these chemicals may
dissolve,damage and/or discolor your wine cooler.
Door Gaskets:
Clean door gasketsevery three monthsaccording to
general instructions.Gaskets mustbe kept clean and
pliable to assure a proper seal.
Petroleumjelly applied lightly on the hinge side of
gasketswill keep the gasket pliable and assure a
goodseal.

Power Interruptions
Occasionally there may be power interruptionsclue to
thunderstormsor other causes. Remove thepower cord from AC outlet
when a power outage occurs.V/hen power has been restored,
replug power cord to AC outlet.
Vacation and Moving Care
For long vacations or absences, unplug the wine cooler and clean the
wine cooler and door gasketsaccording to "General cleaning" section.
Prop doors open, soair can circulate inside.When moving always
move the wine cooler vertically. Do not move with the unit lying down.
Possibledamage to the sealed systemcould occur.

Wine Cooler Does Not Operate

high temperatureand humiddays.
Doors may have beenopenedfrequentlyor foran extended
periodof time.
Clean condensercoils.
Checkgasketfor properseal.
Checkto seeif doors are completelyclosed.
