Aquatrolley

Product description

Intended use

This Aquatrolley is intended exclusively for non-commer-

cial irrigation and watering of plants. Liquid fertiliser may

be added.

Using this machine for any other or additional purpose

is considered contrary to its intended use. The manufac-

turer cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from

such use.

Possible misuse

 The machine must not be used for commercial or

agricultural purposes or indoors.

 The machine must not be used for applying herbi-

cides or pesticides.

 Do not use for beverages or drinking water.

 Do not ll with explosive, aggressive or ammable

substances.

 Do not ll with hot water.

About this handbook

 Read this documentation before starting up the ma-

chine. This is a precondition for safe working and

awless operation.

 Observe the safety warnings in this documentation

and on the machine.

 This documentation is a permanent integral part of

the product described and must be passed on to the

new owner if the machine is sold.

Operating instructions

Safety instructions

The operator or end user is responsible for accidents in-

volving other persons and their property.

Safety instructions for Aquatrolley

 Always check the machine for damage before using

it and have any damaged parts replaced.

 Children and other persons who are unfamiliar with

these operating instructions must not operate the

machine.

 People with restricted physical, sensory or mental

capabilities must be supervised when operating the

device.

 Only use liquid fertiliser. Observe the mixing instruc-

tions and safety instructions provided by the manu-

facturer of the fertiliser.

Caution!

Granular fertiliser can damage the pump!

 Only use on even ground – risk of toppling

 Protect machine against prolonged, direct exposure

to sunlight.

 Do not drag the Aquatrolley up slopes!

Electrical safety

 The mains voltage must match the mains voltage

specications in the technical data.

 Do not aim water jet at electrical components or

sockets.

 Do not unplug by pulling on the cable.

 Check charging cable for damage; do not use dam-

aged cable or mains adapter.

Safety instructions for battery and charger

 Avoid exhaustive discharge of the battery – damage

to battery – charging time 9 hours

 Under extreme conditions, liquid may leak from the

battery. In the case of skin contact:

 Wash affected area of skin immediately with

soap and water.

 In the case of contact with the eyes, rinse thor-

oughly and contact a physician immediately!

 Do not operate the device in the rain.

 Do not touch charger with wet hands.

 Protect battery and charger against temperatures

below 0°C and above +45°C.

 Never open the battery or charger.

 Do not short-circuit the battery – do not jumper the

contacts!

 Do not use battery for other devices.

 Ensure that the contact surfaces are clean and dry

when charging the battery.

 Never throw a battery into a re.

 Only use the charger indoors, in dry conditions.

 Protect charger against moisture.

Safety instructions for operation

 The machine must not be operated if the operator is

under the inuence of alcohol, drugs or medication.

 Do not kink the spiral hose.

 Do not leave the machine unattended when it is

switched on.

 Do not run the pump dry.

 Only tip the machine if it has been completely

emptied.

Assembly

1. Push the upper bar and lower bar together and fas-

ten them with the screws provided (

1).

2. Screw the handle with the seal and the mount and

push on the sprinkler rod (

2).

3. Connect the battery ( 3).

a. Remove the screw from the underside of the

battery compartment.

b. Open the ap on the battery compartment.

c. Connect the positive pole (red) and the nega-

tive pole (black).

d. Close the ap on the battery compartment and

fasten it with the screw.

5. Connect the spiral hose to the trolley and to the

sprinkler ( 4).

Start-up – charging the battery

Caution!

Do not switch on the pump during charging!

Do not ll the water tank during charging!

Caution! Fire hazard!

Never charge the battery in the vicinity of acids or

highly ammable materials.

Caution!

Only use the charger and battery provided! Do not

use chargers from other manufacturers!

1. Connect the charger to the Aquatrolley ( 6 -C).

2. Plug the mains adapter into the mains power sup-

ply (230 V, 50 Hz) – the LED on the charger lights

up red.

3. The charging time is approx. 9 hours; when the bat-

tery is fully charged, the LED on the charger lights

up green.

Remove the charger from the Aquatrolley after

charging, otherwise the battery will self-discharge.

Operation

1. Open the cover and ll water into the water tank

( 5).

2. Switch the machine on:

a. Switch the ON/OFF switch ( 6 -A) to

“ON” (1). The pump starts up.

b. Press the lever on the sprinkler handle to start

watering. ( 7)

3. Switch the machine off:

a. Switch the ON/OFF switch ( 6 -A) to

“OFF” (O). The pump stops.

4. For transport and storage, hang the sprinkler head in

the clip ( 6 -D).

Meaning of the battery indicator ( 6 -B).

The battery indicator only lights up if the pump is

switched on.

Repairs

 Repair work may only be carried out by competent

specialist workshops or our AL-KO Service Centres.

Maintenance and care

 Use only original spare parts.

 Clean the machine with a dry cloth.

 Rinse the machine thoroughly after using liquid fer-

tiliser.

Changing the fuse

The Aquatrolley is protected against overvoltage and

short-circuits by means of a plug-in fuse ( 8).

1. Remove the screw from the underside of the battery

compartment.

2. Pull the plug-in fuse out of the fuse holder.

3. Plug in a new fuse.

4. Close the ap on the battery compartment and fas-

ten it with the screw.

Storage

 Only put the machine into storage if it has been com-

pletely emptied.

 Protect the machine against frost.

 Store the device in a dry, frost-free place.

 Keep out of reach of children and unauthorised per-

sons.

Disposal

Machines, batteries and rechargeable batter-

ies that are no longer required must not be

disposed of with household waste!

Packaging, machine and accessories are manufactured

using recyclable materials and must be disposed of ac-

cordingly.

 Batteries must be depleted before disposal.

 The user is obliged to return batteries and recharge-

able batteries. These can be handed in at the point

of sale free of charge.
