Research
An inclined work surface decreases the neck flexion, bending of
the neck (Dul, 1992) and thereby contributes to the prevention
of complaints. A research by Colombini (1986) proves that
working with a flexed neck is needed in order to be able to read
a document lying on a flat working surface. This increases the
pressure on the intervertebral discs of the neck and thereby can
lead to neck complaints.
