3
Do not use the post hole digger until you have completely understood the specific operating
methods. Always follow the manufacturer’s instruction for the maintenance operations.
After the engine starts or before it stops, allow it run 2~3 minutes at a low speed without any
load. Avoid to run at a full throttle without any load. Never stop the engine suddenly at high
speed.
After engine starts, never touch the muffler and the cylinder. Doing so could result in serious
burns.
If your post hole digger is no longer usable, disposed of it properly without damaging the
environment by contact it in to your local council who will advise for its correct disposal.
Only loan your post hole digger to expert user who are completely familiar with post hole
diggers operation and correct use. Give other users the manual with operating instruction,
which they should read before using the post hole diggers.
Any servicing, other than the operations shown in the present manual, should be performed
by competent personnel.

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURES
Auger Attachment
Fit the output shaft A (Fig.1) into the seat on the bit (C) and secure it using the Hexagon
socket head cap screws (B).
Do not change the ratio of the reduction gearbox. The characteristics of
the machine could change and unforeseen reactions could occur.
Always follow the safety rules. Do not lock the power drill onto fixed
supports. It is forbidden to apply tools or applications other than the ones
indicated by the manufacturer onto the post hole digger of the power drill.

Recommended fuels
Use only a mixture of normal unleaded petrol and
2-stroke engine oil. Mix the fuel mixture as indicated on
the fuel mixing table.
Start the machine at least 3m away from the refuelling
site to avoid the possible risk of fire.
Do not smoke whilst refuelling or working with the
machine.
• When preparing the mixture, only use oil for two stroke
engine. Shake the fuel container before filling (Fig.3).
Refill when the engine is switched off and far away from
naked flames.
Before unscrewing the fuel tank cap, position the power
drill on a flat ,solid surface to prevent fuel spills.
• Gasoline is very flammable. Select outdoor bare ground
for fuelling.
• Never add or replace fuel when the engine is in operation or before the engine stops.
• Do not leave the mixture in the fuel tank or in a fuel canister for a long period of time.
Do not use a fuel mixture which has been kept for longer than 90 days,
it may damage the unit.
Use 2-Stroke oil at the mixing ratio of 50:1. If inadequate lubrication
cause engine damage, the manufacturer's engine warranty will be void
Only use containers designed and approved for the purpose to
transport and store fuel.
Fuel and Oil
Petrol (unleaded) 2-stroke oil
5 litre 100 ml

Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Carburetor
Every 25 hours, remove the cover (M, Fig. 10) and the filter
(N, Fig. 10). The filter should be washed with petrol and
dried before refitting its.
Check the fuel filter (R, Fig 11) periodically. Replace it if
too dirty . A dirty filter can cause difficult starting and lower
engine performance.
Screw Q (Fig. 10) must be adjusted so that the engine
promptly responds to sharp accelerations and gives good
idle operation and gives maximum power during the
cutting phase.
Idle screw P (Fig. 10) is adjusted in order to ensure a
good safety margin between idle turning and clutch
engagement.
Avoid stopping the engine suddenly when it runs in high speed. Doing
so could cause damage to the machine.
Switching Off the Engine
Bring the throttle to the idle position (K,Fig.8) and run it for 2~3 minutes at a low speed until
the engine cools.
b) Switch off the engine by putting the stop switch (G,Fig.8) in the “STOP” position.
c) Remove the bit, clean the machine.

Spark Plug
Bit
Clean the cylinder fins with compressed air or a brush periodically. Dangerous overheating
of engine may occur due to impurities on the cylinder.
Remove the spark plug cover, unscrew the spark plug.
Clean the spark plug if carbon deposit is found.
Polish the electrode with abrasive paper and adjust the
electrode gap to 0.6-0.7mm (Fig.12).

Fig 13
Reduction Gearbox
Every 100 working hours change the grease in the
reduction gearbox (Fig.17).
Storage
a) Follow all the maintenance procedures described
previously.
b) If storing for a long period of time, clean the power drill
completely and grease the metallic part.
c) Remove , clean and oil the bit to prevent rusting.
d) Empty the fuel tank and put the cap back on.
e) Remove the spark plug and pour a small amount of
oil into the cylinder (Fig. 15).
f) Pull the starting rope several times, rotate the
crankshaft to distribute the oil. Put the spark plug
back in.
g) Wrap the engine in a plastic sheet.
h) Stroke the power drill in a dry place, preferably off the
ground and away from heat sources.
