StarTech.com ET90110ST2 is a media converter that allows you to connect 10/100 Mbps Ethernet devices to a multi-mode fiber optic network. It supports full-duplex and half-duplex modes and can be configured to automatically negotiate the link speed and duplex mode or to manually set them via DIP switches. The ET90110ST2 also features Link Fault Pass-through (LFP), which passes a link failure to the Ethernet side if a link failure is encountered on the fiber side and vice versa.

Installation

1. MakesuretheDIPswitchesaresetappropriatelyforyournetwork

conguration(see“DIPSwitchSettings“sectionfordetails).

2. Connecttheberopticnetworkcablefromacomputer/switch/

mediaconvertertotheSC/STconnectoronthemediaconverter.

NOTE: Whenconnectingthebercable,makesuretoconnecttheTx

(transmit)terminalononeend,withtheRx(receive)terminalonthe

otherend.

3. ConnectaUTPEthernetcable,fromacomputer/switchtothe

RJ45jackonthemediaconverter.

4. Connectthepoweradaptertothemediaconverter.
