Before first use
Remove all packaging, both inside
and outside the oven, before using
the oven. Before first use, the oven
should be heated without food.
During this time, an unpleasant
odour may be emitted. This is quite
normal.
Remove the oven accessories.
Remove any adhesive labels or
protective films, if there are any.
Heat the oven on the oven function knob
on position and the oven thermostat
knob on position “250” for about 45 min.
This procedure should be repeated with the
oven function knob on position for
approximately 5-10 minutes.
Clean the accessories with a soft
detergent. Rinse and dry carefully.
Rating Plate
The model number of your cooker can be
found on the rating plate on the back of the
cooker.
About condensation and steam
When food is heated it produces steam in the
same way as a boiling kettle.
The oven vents allow some of this steam to
escape. However, always stand back from
the oven when opening the oven door to
allow any build up of steam or heat to
release.
If the steam comes into contact with a cool
surface on the outside of the oven, e.g. a
trim, it will condense and produce water
droplets. This is quite normal and is not a
fault with the oven.
To prevent discoloration, regularly wipe away
condensation and also soilage from surfaces.
Cookware
Use any ovenproof cookware, which will
withstand temperatures of 250
°
C.
Oven dishes, etc. should not be placed
directly on the oven base.
During cooking in the oven the oven
door is hot. Take care that children do
not play near it.
Operating instruction
Oven functions
0 Off
Conventional cooking - use the top and bottom element; this function will enable
you to use your favourite recipes without having to adapt the temperatures. It is
necessary to pre-heat the oven in this instance.
Bottom oven element - enables you to finish off dishes on the bottom only.
Top oven–element - enables you to finish the dishes on the top only.
Grill - The grill cannot be used at the same time as the oven. The oven door must
be closed when grilling. Attention: use the grill function at max. 210°C.
Caution
Do not place pans, dripping pans, biscuits
pans or aluminium foil directly on the base of
the oven. This could cause a heat build-up,
which could affect the performance of the
oven and damage the oven enamel.
electrolux
6
Oven thermostat knob
By turning the oven thermostat knob
clockwise, you select the cooking
temperature.
The temperatures are shown on the control
panel.
You can set every themperature between
50°C and 250°C.
Things to note
Once the oven temperature has been
selected, the oven thermostat pilot light
will come on and remain on until the
oven has reached the correct setting;
after that, it will go on and off with the
thermostat, showing how the
temperature is being maintained.
The oven light will come on when the
oven function knob is set and lights
during the oven functioning.
Cooking in the oven
During use the appliance becomes
hot. Care should be taken to avoid
touching heating elements inside the
oven.
Conventional cooking
Conventional cooking is made by natural
convection of the heated air.
It is necessary to preheat the oven.
How to proceed?
For small cakes, pastry, beaten mixture
cakes in moulds.
1. Preheat the oven, the oven function
knob on position
:
- about 8 min. for position 50ºC to
150ºC;
- about 15 min for position 175ºC to
250ºC;
2. Insert the meal. Turn the oven
thermostat knob on to the required
temperature.
Bottom oven element
The heat comes only from the bottom of the
oven. This position of the oven function
knob is recommended for finishing cooked
dishes.
Preheating is necessary.
How to proceed?
1. Preheat the oven, the oven function knob
on position
for about 10 min with the
oven thermostat knob on maximum
position.
2. Insert the meal. Turn the oven thermostat
knob on the desire themperature.
Top heating element
It is a radiant cooking. The heat comes from
the top of the oven only. This function is
suitable for finishing cooked dishes, e.g.
lasagne, shepherds pie, cauliflower cheese
etc.
It is not necessary to preheat the oven.
How to proceed?
1. Insert the meal on the 3
rd
level.
2. Turn the oven control knob on position
and turn the oven thermostat knob
on the desire themperature.
For turning off the heating elements.
Turn the knob clockwise to position off “0”.
Hints and Tips
There should always be at least 2.5cm
between the top of the food and the
element. This gives the best cooking results
and allows room for rise in yeast mixtures,
Yorkshire puddings, etc. When cooking
cakes, pastry, scones, bread, etc., place the
tins or baking trays centrally below element.
Ensure that food is placed centrally on the
shelf and there is sufficient room around the
baking tray/dish to allow for maximum
circulation.
electrolux
7
Stand dishes on suitably sized baking trays
to prevent spillage onto the oven base and
to help reduce cleaning.
Enamelware, dark, or heavy utensils
increase base browning. Shiny aluminium or
polished steel trays reflect the heat away
and give less base browning.
DO NOT place dishes directly onto the oven
base as it becomes very hot and damage
may occur.
DO NOT use the grill pan or meat tin as a
baking tray as this will increase base
browning of the food.
For economy leave the door open for the
shortest possible time, particularly when
placing food into a preheated oven.
Electric grill
WARNING: Accessible parts may
become hot when the grill is in use.
Children should be kept away. All
grilling must be carried out with the
oven door closed. During use the
appliance becomes hot.
The grill pan will become hot during
use, always use oven gloves when
removing or replacing a hot grill pan.
Attention: use the grill function at
maximum 210°C.
Grilling
Heat comes from the top of the oven. It is
suitable for grilling meat (beef bacon, pork
bacon …) that remains tender, for toast or to
brown already cooked food.
Roast meat
Prepare the meat to be roasted, lightly
brush it with oil on both sides.
Place it on the grill.
Fix the oven function knob on position
.
Slide the dripping pan in the guide 1.
Slide the pan support grid in the guide 2
or 3 depending on the thickness of the
meat to be roasted.
Use guide 3 for the thin pieces to be
roasted (toasts, pork bacon, sausage,
small fish…)
Use guide 2 for thick pieces to be
roasted (beef bacon, large fish, poultry).
When the first side is brown, turn the
meat without pricking it in order that the
juices are not lost.
Roast the second side.
Salt when ending the cooking.
Cooking time has to be determined by the
thickness of the piece to be roasted not by
its weight.
Browning
Turn the oven function knob on position
.
Place the dish on the grid and slide it in
the guide 2 or 3.
Leave the dish under the radiation of the
grill for a few minutes.
Electric Hotplates
To switch on a hotplate, turn the relevant
control knob to the required heat setting.
The control knob is numbered 0 – 6
0 – OFF
1 – Minimum
6 – Maximum.
The hob has two types of hotplates:
Normal Hotplates
We recommend the plates are switched to
maximum (6) for a short while to boost the
plate, and then adjusted to the required
setting.
Rapid Hotplate (Front right)
The rapid hotplates indicated by a red spot,
will heat up more quickly than a normal
plate.
electrolux
8
Hob plates pilot light
This light will illuminate when use one or
more of the hotplates knob are turned on
and remains lit while these are in use.
Over a period of time the red spot may
disappear, this will not affect the
performance of the hotplate.
It is important to note that the hotplate
may smoke and produce a slightly
unpleasant odour when used for the
first time. This is quite normal and will
disappear after some time.
Do not put anything on the hob that is
liable to melt
Suggestions for the correct setting of the
plates are given in the following table:
OFF 0
Very

Hints and tips
Saucepans for use on solid plates should
have several characteristics:
They should be fairly heavy duty
They should fit the heat area exactly,
or be slightly larger for efficient use,
NEVER smaller.
They should have a flat base to ensure
good contact with the plate.
Good use
Bad use
(Power waste)
This is particularly important when using
pans for high temperature frying or
pressure-cooking.
As soon as liquid starts boiling, turn down
the plate control knob so that it will barely
keep the liquid simmering.
You can switch off the plate a short while
before you finish cooking and the final stage
will be completed on the accumulated heat.
Similarly, stews etc. cooked in well covered
saucepans cook at lower temperature which
is more economical.
Ensure pans are large enough to avoid
liquids being split into the plates.
Never leave the plates on without a
pan on them or with an empty pan on
them.
electrolux
9
Take care never to lean or reach over a
hot electric plate. Always point pan
handles inward or over the work
surface next to the hob to avoid
accidentally knocking over a pan as
you pass by.
Take care when frying food in hot oil or
fat, as the overheated splashes could
easily ignite.
If the control knobs become difficult to
turn, please contact your local Service
Centre.
Accessories delivered with the appliance
Beside the accessories delivered with the
appliance we advise you to use only heat
proof pots (according to the instructions of
the manufacturer).
Your cooker is equipped with:
Oven grid, pan support for putting the
dishes on (roast, pastry moulds …)
The dish has to be put in the middle of
the grate to balance the weight.
Dripping pan - it is used to collect juice
when cooking in it, place it on the shelf
2.
Storage Compartment
Can be used for kitchen utensils or different
accessories, or when the oven is warm,
even for keeping the food warm. For
opening lift a little bit the door than turn it
downwards.
Important
Never use it for storing inflammable
materials.
Cleaning and care
The oven should be kept clean at all
times. A build-up of fats or other
foodstuffs could result in a fire,
especially in the grill pan.
Before cleaning, ensure all control
knobs are in the OFF position, and the
appliance has cooled completely.
Before any maintenance or cleaning
can be carried out, you must
DISCONNECT the cooker from the
electricity supply.
Cleaners that contain bleach should NOT be
used as they may dull the surface finishes.
Do not use a steam cleaner for cleaning the
oven and hobs. Harsh abrasives should also
be avoided.
External cleaning
We recommend for cleaning cleaners that
do not scratch the surface; after that rinse
and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid use of metall
objects (knife, edge), steel wool or nylon
pads, abrasive or caustic products, or
diluents.
Oven Cavity
The enamelled oven cavity is best cleaned
whilst the oven is still warm.
electrolux
10
Wipe the oven over with a soft cloth soaked
in warm soapy water after each use. From
time to time it will be necessary to do a
more thorough cleaning, using a proprietary
oven cleaner.
The Hob Top
The hob is best cleaned whilst it is still
warm; as spillage can be removed more
easily than if it is left to cool.
Regularly wipe over the hob top using a soft
cloth well wrung out in warm water to which
a little washing up liquid has been added.
Avoid the use of the following:
household detergent and bleaches;
impregnated pads unsuitable for non-
stick saucepans;
steel wool pads;
Bath/sink stains remover.
Should the hob top become heavily soiled, it
is recommended that a cleaning product
such as Hob Brite or Bar Keepers Friend is
used.
The Hotplates
Spills onto the actual plate should be
removed using warm water and a soft
brush, nylon or plastic scourer. To keep the
plates looking as new, hotplate conditioner
can be purchased from most hardware
stores, e.g. “4 Hob” by Home Care
Products (follow the manufacturer’s
instruction for use).
Alternatively, wipe the plates with a drop of
olive oil on a kitchen towel to avoid rust. It is
important to note that the plate will smoke a
little and produce a slightly unpleasant odour
when next used.
Drying
Important: After cleaning, dry the hotplates
throughly by switching on to a low-medium
setting for a few minutes.
Restoring
To maintain the appearance of your sealed
hotplates apply a little salt-free vegetable oil
or restorative agent (i.e. :”Collo Electrol”, or
Minky Hotplate Cleaning Cloths) periodically.
Cleaning the oven door
Removing oven door from its hinges
To make it easier to clean the oven, the
oven door can be removed.
Open the oven door into the horizontal
position. Then lift up the clips on the two
door hinges as far as they will go (a).
Slowly close the door again as far as the
stop and lift the door until the hinges come
out (b).
Replacing the oven door on its hinges
When putting the door back on its hinges,
reverse the procedure for removing the door
from its hinges.
Re-insert the door’s hinges into the slots (c).
When you do this, make sure the hinges
engage properly and evenly.
Then slowly lower the door downwards.
When you do this, make sure the corners of
the door do not touch the bottom of the
frame (if this happens, lift the door up again
and realign the hinges).
electrolux
11
Finally fold the clips back down towards the
oven (d). So that the door closes properly,
press down on the clips with something
(e.g. a screwdriver) (e).
Slowly check the correct operation of the
door.
Important: Never leave the door hinge levers
standing up. Otherwise the spring action
can lead to injury.
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or
sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven
door glass since they can scratch the
surface, which may result in shattering
of the glass.
Oven lamp replacement
Ensure that the appliance is switched
off before replacing the lamp to avoid
possibility of electric shock.
If the oven bulb needs replacing, it must
comply with the following specifications:
Electric Power: 15W
Electric Rate: 230V(50Hz)
Resistant to temperatures of: 300ºC
Connection Type: E14
To replace the faulty bulb.
Turn the glass cover anticlockwise and
remove.
Remove the faulty bulb and replace
with a new one.
Refit the glass cover.
Reconnect the appliance to the electricity
supply.
